The food and atmosphere are perfectly paired by the willingness of staff to make members feel at home, and guests are always welcome, but I can understand how some might feel intimidated by the grandeur and history of the club. Yet unlike the younger reviewer who felt slighted by some folks commenting I've never felt unwelcome by the older generations. It's just that losing one's commenting filters is common at all ages and albeit that age gaps do exist out right prejudice does not. In consideration of how many "older people" are there it is true but when you realize the elderly probably have more financial stability now than the average population at this time in history it just makes sense. As I see it Younger members are always welcome, but preconceptions of who we are as a club would be unfair. That's why we open our doors to the general public on restaurant week to share in the traditions of this fine gem of by gone times.

There was one person in our group who was newer to the sport and said she was a beginner. Then he announced to everyone "Sorry for the cart delay, they had a beginner." This experience put a blunt end to an otherwise great day of golf. We played at a good speed today. Partway through the front nine our twosome was asked to play with the twosome in front of us since we were waiting on them. Once we were grouped up we increased speed of play and maintained it. I think the course should look at their tee times and find our why they are short on carts. There was not a queue of groups waiting on us. Do not come here if you are looking for a fun experience, you will be met with employees with awful attitudes. And under no circumstances come here as a beginner because they do not think highly of them. Other places in the area, like Nonesuch, are much better equipped with emotional intelligence. If you do not care about being treated with respect, you might enjoy Willowdale because the holes were fun overall.

White marble countertops, big windows, huge TVs. They did it right. Some table seating in the bar area, more in the side room (quieter). They need some sound proofing/noice cancelling stuff as it is LOUD. While I love the fact they have live music a lot, it's just too loud when the band is inside. We love eating on the patio in the summer listening to live music. Food is very good, but a bit overpriced. $16 for 8 wings? The burger was amazing. My kids liked the max and cheese and salad. The food is very good, but the high pricing (for the area) demands a bit better, thus the 4 stars.

Target golf, tons of bunkers, terrible tee boxes, small slow greens with pins on slopes (just like their putting range ) and construction jack hammers all over. Over 18 holes, most in our foursome were only able to hit drivers on a few holes. Bottom line: If you are not under a 10 handicap, don't play here or bring two dozen golf balls.
