This is a place where you are guaranteed to get ripped off. First, they offer you a diagnostic check. They quote a timeframe of two hours, even though a computer diagnostic scan actually takes only 20 minutes. You pay $565.00 for this diagnostic service; then, if you decide to proceed with the repairs, they present you with a bill for services at a labor rate of $256 per hour. Ultimately, replacing your brakes will cost you $1,900.00 (diagnostics included). However, if you realize that the exact same job costs only $400 elsewhere and decide to leave, you are still required to pay the $565 diagnostic fee. Furthermore, they charge a 2.5% surcharge for card payments. When asked questions, their standard response is, "We don't know--the diagnostics will tell us." Tried to get my initial deposit back but Bank of America didnt allow it. When I unlock with remote all doors doesnt unlocked and the light inside doesnt come on. Sometimes the radio doesnt work! Bought a Toyota Gold certified car from Toyota plaza and in less than 2 weeks i had 2 major problems already in my car. They gave me a car with damaged rotor which should not be the case because it is a gold certified car. Then after that my i had a check engine sign error and my engine knocking. the reason? they put two gasket in my oil filter which resulted to severe oil leak. Damaged my engine!!! in my opinion i dont think the car went through the toyota gold certified 160 point inspection because if it is, they shouldve noticed it. I was told I'd be here for 1.5 hrs and some how found my self here for 2.5 for a standard oil change... mind you all reports came back excellent so what's taking so long is beyond me. To me, Plaza Toyota is one of the worst dealerships in Brooklyn. Plaza Toyota body shop got my 2022 Toyota RAV4 on July 23, 2025. I do not have a rental car on my GEICO insurance policy. So, they take very long with my car. Whenever I call the body shop, they give me a lie. In the first week, they told me either Friday or Saturday my car is going to be released. In the second week, they told me that they just got the parts, and they told me later the car is in the paint shop, and they told me this scenario in the first week too. Today, on August 9, 2025, they told me that the car is in the paint shop, and it is going to be released on Monday 11, 2025. My car has been side swiped, and it does not have any memory issues. However, on my Toyota app, I received notifications saying that I have four malfunctions. Even the dealership called me to schedule an appointment to get them fixed, and I told them that my car is in their bodyshop. Plaza Toyota's service sucks. I called the Toyota recall line to report that the airbag recall was not compleged and was informed that the other 3 outstanding recalls had not been completed either. I will be going to a different Toyota center to have this taken care of Plaza has no regard for my time! Now I have to take another day off work. The sales agents at Plaza Toyota lied to us when they ordered our car and tried to manipulate us into paying huge undisclosed fees. We custom ordered a car at Plaza Toyota. They did not charge us for our deposit, which we repeatedly checked on, asking: "why hasn't this been charged?" And the sales representative told us, "don't worry it will be." We eventually learned the hard way that they had not ordered the car at a fixed cost under our name (as they told us they would). They made us wait for weeks for a car we thought was ours but that had actually been ordered under general inventory. The consequences of this difference is that the car's cost is not fixed. This is how our nightmare saga with Plaza Toyota happened: The sales representative called us on May 31, telling us the car had arrived and we had to get it off the lot within hours or they would change the interest rates, or sell the car off the lot that day. We were confused. How could our rates change? How could they sell as car we had custom ordered out from under us? We rushed all day to get them the paperwork and the deposit for the the car. Then at the last minute, they sent us the sales agreement where they had added a $7,000+ for a fee, on top of all the other dealer fees, which they failed to disclose until there were 20 left at the end of the sales day. They had also hidden the fee in the breakdown of monthly payments. It wasn't until I asked to see the bill of sale that I could see the car price was $7000+ higher than the original Price. The fee for "market demand" was not broken out into its own line item, but lumped into the flat cost of the car. They will hide these things from you. You must look closely and ask questions. They had pressured us all day, not giving us time to ask these questions, until the very last minute. This was wrong. It was against Toyota business practices. I contacted all three of the senior sales agents and none of them responded, which makes me believe this must be common practice at the dealership. Do not buy your cars here. read more

On October 4, 2023, I visited Toyota Plaza Mall Auto Repair Shop (2721 Nostrand Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11210) for the third time for the same problems of my car. Three visits for the same problem to the same Toyota Plaza Mall Auto Repair Shop over a period of 5 and a half months. *The first visit on April 14, 2023 / I paid $2,420.86 for "repairs" *Second visit August 31, 2023 / I paid $1620.27 for "repairs" *Third visit October 4, 2023. Parts only cost $2,333.40. I refused the third repair and purchase of spare parts. I do not know why, but even the invoice date of the first visit (03/09/2023) is incorrect because I visited on 04/14/2023 and paid $369.71 on the same day so that the remaining full amount pay to Subnit within 9 months. (Attached: Subnit payment schedule) In the Toyota Plaza Mall auto repair shop they explained to me that they are the best and fix all problems very well, but they didn't even deny that after today's next paid "repair" it is also very likely that all these sounds and noises from the steering wheel, shock absorbers and chassis as a whole will also arise again in the future because this whole problem has two parts (Up/Down) and they are fixing exactly the problem they see now. They probably meant next month. And it turns out that the Toyota Plaza Mall auto repair shop the BEST, it's just that the Toyota RAV 4 LE is not a car, but garbage in reality, and when the Toyota RAV 4 LE turns 6 years old, it needs to be thrown in the trash to get rid of unnecessary expenses in vain in the future. The car the sales lady showed me, I fell in love with however it was over my budget. I knew my credit score and the apr my bank offered me in regards to my prospective loan. I didn't want to finance with the car dealership because their apr is ridiculous. So I decided to reach out to my bank and perhaps to return a few days later. As I was walking out the sales lady encouraged me to do a lease. I declined. I returned back a few days later with my loan amount! Shhhhh (you should never disclosed your loan amount to the car dealer) I knew the car I wanted and what I wanted to pay. I explained to the sales man that I didn't want my credit ran, I had all the information needed in regards to making sure my paperwork would go through with my bank. That was Friday night. 2/5/21! The salesman assured me that I would walk out with my car the same day. However, the excuse was that the DMV was closed and I had to wait for Monday. So I figured I would wait because it was late that Friday. The car dealership ran my credit three times, I found that out the next day when I received an alert on my credit. Saturday, I texted the salesman, I was so upset. Now the blame game started. He blame the finance department and the finance department blamed him. So much back and forth. I was told that Monday my car would be ready which is today 2/8/21. I called today and now they are saying that my car would be ready on Thursday. Now the excuse is because I have to wait for my name to place on the title. I've been waiting ALL day from them to call me back. No call back. I have text messages and a recorded conversation with the lies that Alex & Alex told me. I know that their goal is to sale a car however, it doesn't pay to be devious. The first time (Saturday) my father was told the part was not in stock and to return Monday morning. Not a big issue. We arrived Monday morning and were told the same thing. The part was not ordered and not in stock. Of course my father was upset. We drove on the morning of one of our few days off and told the exact same EXCUSE. They told us they would put the order in right away and to return another time. The third time (Saturday) we were told this service would only be provided Monday through Friday. For one I've been having so much issues with the used car that they gave me and then on top of that the car has a fucking lien on it that they did not mention to me at all!!!! I noticed it when I got the title in the mail. Every issue I have with the car they told me that those issues aren't covered under the warranty. I've had electric issues, vehicle traction control failure, break failure etc. tried to trade in the car but because of that lien, the cars value is less than how much I'm paying for the car. They advertise the two parts that make the fob for $150 less on their own site than they charge in person. When I brought up the discrepancy on the phone I was dismissed then hung up on. When I brought it up in person I got the run around and was told someone would call me- no call. The whole new fob process cost $580, and took 3 visits to this super hard to get to place, totaling around 3 hours! Ridiculous. To add to it all I asked about the process but was not told the programming would take 2 hours and cost $150. They tried to up sell me a tune up while programming the fob. AND while they had the car I got two different calls from two different agents(who were bad at taking no for an answer) to try and buy the car from me! Lester Jones ended up running the numbers with us. He tried to tell me that my monthly payments would be $630 a month and almost $3000 down. My husband and I have excellent credit. He didn't even try to run our credit. First, he tells us the car we want is not available. Then, the car we wanted "suddenly appeared." Then, he tells us there's a huge car shortage, which is why the monthly payments are much higher. Stay away from this dealership! They are pretty much trying to rob you!! read more

We brought the van back to them twice because of problems and loud noises that had never occurred before they did this work. They never indicated that they didn't use Toyota parts. Not Once! Brought the van to Toyota Westbury and they quickly noted that the problem we are experiencing was due to the after market parts. The work needs to be redone. We obviously can't trust Plaza Toyota. Attempted to resolve this by getting assistance from Toyota Care but we have learned that TOYOTA DON'T CARE! I will never buy another Toyota but want to make sure others are aware of this shadiness.
