This was my first visit--and definitely my last. I came to wash my large blankets, and it took…read morenearly 10 minutes just to get a washer started because the card readers weren't working properly on any of the machines I tried (and there weren't many clean ones to choose from). The same issues occurred with the dryers. I was understandably frustrated and mentioned to my daughter that the machines seemed "jinky." When my daughter's comforter came out still wet after a full wash cycle, we asked the attendant for help, but she never assisted us. (Said we didn't put it on the correct cycle) and after about 10 minutes, the attendant came over, pulled the blanket out mid-cycle, and scolded us--saying we were going to break the dryer. She then placed our blanket in a basket and proceeded to speak loudly about my attitude and comments. For the record, I never disrespected her--I was frustrated, yes, but I simply expressed my concerns about faulty machines. Instead of helping, she chose to make rude, unnecessary comments, including remarks about my payment card. Her behavior was loud, unprofessional, and disrespectful to both me and my daughter. I paid to rewash my comforter it was way to much confrontation over a machine she clearly didn't own. To make matters worse, the facility itself was not clean. Many washers smelled of mildew or contained pet hair, and the floors were dirty. If you're looking for a better experience, I strongly recommend the location on Bell or Western--it's much cleaner, and the staff there are far more helpful and professional.

There are plenty of washers and dryers and in addition, my surprise they have "Drop off Laundry". They have regular dryers and heavy-duty dryers. They also have TVs to pass the time. They have a vending machine where you are able to buy laundry soap as well as a machine where you can get quarters. Bring quarters as machines use that currency. If you want to hit two birds with one stone, there is a Big Lots that will definitely help pass time.

I used Tide thinking that with such a big name, i would have nothing to worry about. We asked if…read morethey could clean smoke damage from a recent fire, and they said yes. They returned almost every single item damaged or completely ruined. Without reaching out to me, or informing me beforehand, they wet washed all of our dry-clean only items, and seems they washed them together. Who wet washes a wedding dress? A satin dress? In the same washer? (We found sequins from the wedding snagged in the satin.) They completely ruined 20 or so garments. Management at the Amarillo tide location was extremely rude and combative over the situation, even after admitting that we should have been told how they were planning on washing our items. The general manager out of Lubbock admitted to me that our garments were handled incorrectly, proper procedures were not followed, and we should have been, at the very leaset, asked if we wanted our things wet washed( which the amarillo manager claimed is the ONLY way to do smoke remediation, which is absolutely not true). Of course, if we had known what they planned to do, we would have said no and taken our business somewhere they know what they're doing. I think is it entirety reasonable, that when you drop off DRY CLEAN ONLY garments to a DRY CLEANERS, that your items are to be DRY CLEANED! They would not make it right. We asked for compensation. They DESTROYED OVER $3000 worth of clothing, including many vintage peices and MY WIFE'S WEDDING DRESS that she was planning to pass down! They gave us a pittance; a PARTIAL refund for the "cleaning" cost. The general manager from Lubbock became unreachable, I suspect a case of: "if I ignore it, it will go away". I emplore you to not trust Tide cleaners with your valuable or sentimental items. 0/10 for care, 0/10 for communication, 0/10 for customer satisfaction. Working with Tide was almost worse than the fire that lead us to their services.
