I had a consult about a week ago and had the best experience! This was my second opinion, as I was interested in getting braces, but at other offices were pressuring me into Invisalign and wasn't being heard. The treatment coordinator here was incredibly caring, really listened to what I was looking for, and made sure to communicate everything clearly to the doctor. When the doctor came in, she took the time to examine my teeth, explain both treatment options thoroughly, and encouraged me to choose what felt right for me. That made all the difference. Needless to say, I started my treatment here and I'm so excited to get started with my clear, braces, which I just learned are 3D printed and customized just for me! read more

They want you to have the best results and cut no corners. I cannot recommend them enough. Playa Orthodontics is in a class of their own and is well worth going to. read more

Thank You All at Playa Vista Orthodontics! I actually got off the elevator on the wrong floor. Am I glad I did! From the moment I walked in the door , it was the right place to go! I was greeted by daisy very pleasantly. I told her what I was trying to do and she was super helpful. All the way through my experience she has been very helpful with calls and updates throughout the whole time. On the other side of the desk is Deb somehow when it came to questions I had she already had the answer , scheduling , who to talk to , you name it. They're a great greeting to get an appointment started & finished. I think I was probably attended to by several assistants but Syl & Geo were my regulars and all through everyone was awesome. They the most helpful, comforting and supportive dental techs I ever met. Thank you Syl & Thank you Geo. I came to this office requiring A LOT! of work not once did I feel self conscious about it. AND! What can I say about the whole staff is uplifting and pleasant. Dr Jen thank you for patience and great friendly approach. AND! Bottom-Line Up Front: Dr. Ray and her staff are professional, kind, and extraordinary at what they do. I had braces as a kid, failed to wear a retainer, and my teeth had shifted quite a bit. The thought of getting orthodontic treatment again, and this time as an adult, was unappealing, to say the least. But Dr. Ray's office is bright and welcoming, and so is the staff. I immediately felt relief and that I would be taken care of well there. Dr. Ray, herself, is so nice and so good at what she does that I always felt comfortable and confident that I would get the best treatment and results. And sure enough, I can't believe how much my smile and bite improved. If you need orthodontic treatment, go to Playa Orthodontics. read more

Mrs Rachel and Jenny are the best so nice and helpful . The staff here are very nice and communicative:)

Dr. Courtney Ray, and her team are absolutely AMAZING! I was referred to her office for "Invisalign" treatment, and let me tell you it was sooooo worth it! I felt so taken care of and completely "at home" with her and the team! For most of my life I was so self conscious of my smile, teeth and overall mouth appearance. Doing Invisalign has made me feel so good about myself and let me tell you, totally self confident. This has been a life changing experience for me and I want to just say Thank you Dr. Courtney, and thank you to everyone whom works there and makes everyone feel so great! read more

Dr. Ray is super knowledgeable and kind, and very thorough. I've been going to Playa Ortho since I was 11yo (29 now) back with Dr. Luther, and when Dr. Ray took over, I felt like home was still home. I got Invisalign done for a minor adjustment after having my braces done so long ago and I couldn't be happier with the results. Quality work, great team, super nice staff, clean and updated office! read more

They are very caring, authentic and absolutely a joy to work with! They helped me through my orthodontic treatment and they also provided quality referrals for other procedures that I needed done. read more

Fifteen years after having braces as a teen (and never wearing my retainer), I decided I wanted to get Invisalign as an adult to correct the shifting that had occurred. I had consultations with several orthodontists, but it wasn't until I went to Playa Orthodontics and met Dr. Ray that I felt comfortable moving forward. Dr. Ray made me feel confident that I would be in good hands, addressing both the aesthetic concerns I had about my smile and the health of my teeth. She was realistic about how long the process would take and the commitment that would be required from me to wear my aligners. After only about nine months, my smile turned out exactly how I wanted. I felt well-informed and taken care of throughout my treatment. The staff were always very welcoming and helpful. I'm so glad I chose Playa Orthodontics! read more

My son received excellent care at Playa Orthodontics. I was surprised to find out that I had to buy his retainers after the treatment was complete. I wish this was made clear in the initial cost estimate. read more

This is an overdue positive review! My daughter was treated by Dr Ray for the last couple of years and she had a wonderful experience all along. The doctor and staff are amazing! And their office is immaculate and very zen like! We had a choice between a couple of other places but absolutely very happy that we decided to go with Playa Vista Orthodontist! read more

The bonded retainer I had on from an ortho I went to in my hometown broke, so I needed to find a new one here in West LA. I had been to my previous ortho on and off for 17 years, so I was obviously a bit nervous to go to a new one. I found Playa Vista Orthodontics through online reviews, and all of the excellent reviews served to be true! The office is extremely bright and clean (and thorough covid procedures are followed); the staff is really kind and knowledgeable; it's easy to book an appointment; and most of all, they're honest, a trait that is important situations that involve both health and a significant amount of money. Even though my previous bonded retainer was a different type than they use, instead of just telling me I need a new one, they first tried to salvage my old one. This obviously cost less than me getting a new one, so to me, that really showed the practice's character -- honest, good people who just want to help others. The fix for my old bonded retainer didn't work so I ended up getting a new one, but the minute they first tried to salvage my old one, I knew I was in good hands. My new bonded retainer was put in with such care and precision, and it fits perfectly and feels stronger than my old one! No joke, I'm so thankful I found Playa Vista Orthodontics. I'm really picky about my teeth, and I'm relieved that I now have an amazing place to go for help should I need anything else related to orthodontics. Thank you to everyone there for being so kind and good at what you do -- I'll miss having to come in! :) read more

I had my Invisalign treatment with Dr Ray, she and her team provide professional service to me. Especially thanks my treatment coordinator Pea, she patiently answered tons of questions for dental insurance from me. Really appreciate everyone's help here! read more

I couldn't give a higher number of stars for Dr. Ray and Playa Vista Orthodontics because YELP limits you to 5/5. Otherwise, I would have gone higher! I had never experienced braces as a kid, so the thought of getting Invisalign didn't seem exciting at all. Aja, the director or manager of the office (sorry I don't know the exact title) is also amazing. She walked through the entire process, including billing, desired results and lingering questions. Dr. Ray has a gentle, yet confident approach and always seems to brighten up mood around her which helps as you're sitting in a dental chair getting work done. The office staff is great and they have always answered my calls and messages right away. Couldn't be any happier with the experience. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Ray and Playa Vista Orthodontics. Dr. Ray worked very closely with me on my Invisalign. Her staff was friendly, professional, and responsive. Dr. Ray is fantastic, a true professional with a great demeanor. She explained everything that was happening and discussed different options with me. I had a hard time wearing my aligners during the day, so we worked out a plan where I wore them at night only. I was very happy with the results, and I am forever grateful. read more

My two daughters have been coming here for their expanders, braces, brackets, wires and bands for a few years now. Don't let the dated building mislead you. The office is modern and very clean! The staff has always been extremely friendly and patient when scheduling is tricky. My girls appreciate a straight forward approach and the doctors and technicians always explain their process for them. They have worked with my budget and both of my girls are happy! (One now with a retainer, the other almost done with braces.) Highly recommended. We also recommended the Smile Westchester just down the hall if you need a dentist! read more

I simply love coming to Playa Vista Orthodontist ever since I got my Invisalign, not only has Dr Ray made my experience wonderful. I highly recommend Dr. Courtney Ray and Playa Vista Orthodontics to every person seeking orthodontic treatment because she's great! They're great! Dr. Ray is just terrific! And my new smile looks outstanding! I decided to finally straighten my teeth as a 50th birthday present to myself in August 2017. I was referred to Dr. Courtney Ray by my lovely dentist, Dr. Ray Curtis. Best. Referral. Ever! I visited Playa Vista Orthodontics, consulted with Dr. Ray's Marketing Director, Aja Cook, about different teeth alignment methods then selected Invisalign because I'm vain and too old for metal braces. I was fitted with my first Invisalign tray in mid-August 2017. Fourteen months later I'm being fitted for my retainers. Wow! That was quick! I still can't believe or recognize my own mouth and I can't believe my (new) smile is so spectacular. I've cried tears of joy, starred longingly at my smile in a mirror, taken dozens (okay hundreds) of selfies and thanked Dr. Ray profusely. THANK YOU, DR. RAY! read more

Dr. Ray is the absolute best! I went in with concerns about one tooth but she perfected my entire mouth. People have asked if I have veneers because of her amazing work. I didn't understand why she worked so hard during my appointments but I completely get it now. My smile is perfect and I'm always showing it off, thanks to Dr. Ray. Last year I was shopping around for Invisalign but I had to wait until Jan 2022 to finalize because that was when my insurance reset. 3 years ago I had braces and my teeth had shifted and I wanted to reset them. Playa Vista Orthodontics seemed like a good choice because of how close by it was. They quoted me an absurd number of almost 7k,5k out of pocket and 2k insured. I am so glad I didn't execute after doing a bit more shopping I was able to save over 2k down at Dr. Mario's in Marina. They were not willing to negotiate I am glad I went somewhere else because I am receiving a more personal treatment. read more

My senior high schooler got braces with this top flight office - from our first meeting with Dr. Courtney Ray we were impressed with the professionalism, cleanliness, and the pleasant staff. I felt very at ease because the orthodontist explained the whole course of treatment, gave a conservative estimate of time and explained clearly all of the financial implications and requirements. I loved that all costs and appointments were included - no nickel and dining you to death. From start to finish our experience was excellent at this office and I would easily recommend them to another friend or family member. read more
