If you follow my reviews then you know that I am very careful when I decide to review a company, service or product. Reviews are meant to be a guideline to help people decide on whether they should work with a company, use a service or try a product. In June 2017, I had taken my nephew Jeremiah for his routine orthodontist treatment at Torok Ortho in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Claudia Torok is his orthodontist and noticed that his left jaw bone was swollen and his gums had a bump on them. Dr. Torok was extremely concerned because she didn't know if my nephew had developed a tumor, cyst or infection that was causing the swelling. Dr. Torok was so concerned that she took the time to reach out personally to oral surgeons and ultimately referred us to an amazing oral surgeon, Dr. Mardirosian. She also stayed in contact with Dr. Mardirosian and followed up with me through the weekend to see how my nephew was doing. Dr. Mardirosian took x-rays, CT Scans and a biopsy and ultimately he had to extract all four of my nephew Jeremiah's wisdom teeth and clean the infection. His wisdom teeth had caused the infection and swelling of his jaw. We thanked God after the final biopsy report because it came back negative. I can not thank Dr. Torok enough for her professionalism, concern and for being so diligent to assist us. Dr. Torok is an amazing Orthodontist. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional and so kind. She has done an amazing job with my nephew's teeth and my nephew is so happy that she is his Orthodontist. Dr. Torok is compassionate, patient, caring, knowledgeable and a professional orthodontist. I highly recommend Dr. Claudia Torok. Her office is always clean and her staff is amazing, especially Sherese who makes sure my nephew is on top of his appointments! Dr. Torok is amazing dealing with children, teens and if you are an adult and would like to improve your smile I recommend Dr. Torok! read more

I just finished my orthodontic treatment with Dr. Torok. I cannot be happier with the results and the staff in her office! I am 33-years-old. And this was my second time going through treatment because I did not wear my retainer after my first treatment back in college and my teeth moved back to my original bad alignment. When I first went in for my appointment, I was rather embarrassed. Then the staff told me that many of their clients are adults, and since Dr. Torok is Invisalign certified I could be treated in fairly short time with a lot less embarrassment than I went through years ago. Staff here are great. From receptionists to technicians to orthodontist (Dr. Torok, that is), they are professional and courteous. They are pretty savvy with technology: an appointment confirmation is done on-line, you check in with your digital thumb print scanner when you walk into their office, etc. Result? Great smile, and no more headache from TMJ. And let me tell you about my TMJ. I used to have this pain around my jaw all the time. From time to time my jaw would somehow pop out of its socket and hurt as if I've fallen face down from a second floor. I used to take some painkiller just so I can go to bed with this bothersome jaw. My jaw used to make this weird noise whenever I take a big bite of french bread, my favorite in-n-out burger (double double was out of question when it was hurting...) or anything bigger than grape tomatoes. It was sad. Then again I had always had this condition since childhood, and I had accepted that I have to put up with my TMJ for the rest of my life. Now without that aching TMJ or the headache, I am so very happy that I went through with the treatment. Sure, it's not the cheapest investment. Luckily my insurance covered the half of the total cost, and with the balance I was able to arrange monthly payments with the office. After all, it was a great investment not just for aesthetics, but for my health as well. So if you are thinking about getting Invisalign, or are bothered by your TMJ, go get consultation. It could be the best thing you've ever done for yourself. read more

They have very limited hours and days they are open. Of course they don't tell you this before you start the treatment and you are stuck with them. They open Tuesday-Thursday. Not Fridays. And one Saturday a month. Get ready to make arrangements in your life to fit their schedule. read more

I just finish with braces with Dr. Torok. I can't express how much I love my smile. She did an amazing job. I recommend her to anyone. Her staff were great. I was always seeing on time and she gave me a good deal. I'm so glad my dentist refer me to her. Thank you Dr. Torok!! I just took my nephew to her as well and he's with braces already. I took my oldest son to Dr Torok for a consultation last week. I found her exam to be very thorough and explanatory. I wanted to update my review because the experience I had was even better than before. I noticed the office was newly remodeled and the design is amazing. She did a great job. I did a lot of research before choosing Dr. Torok for my daughters orthodontist and I am so glad we did. I have been thoroughly impressed with all aspects of the service we have received thus far. The staff is friendly, welcoming so pleasant to work with. The most important detail is the quality of service and we are really impressed! Dr. Torok and her staff are very skilled and knowledgeable and my daughters smile shows it! The other important detail is "bedside manner". The doctor and her techs are all very gentle and kind while doing the adjustments, that means a lot to me. The last thing is the condition of the office and equipment. I visited a lot of offices that I found to be out dated and not particularly clean. Dr. Torok's office is immaculately clean and modern and all of her equipment appears to be new and state of the art. This is a major selling point for me! I had been going to Dr. Torok over the past 3 years ( or more) and have nothing but wonderful to say about Dr Torok and the whole staff (friendly reception & professional staffers) About my orthodontic treatment - I get a lot of compliments now on my smile, thanks to Dr Torok's expertise! Every time I had an appointment, I was always accommodated, and setting up or changing appointments were never an issue! I felt like the whole staff had become my friends as I got to know them over the years! Best orthodontic experience! You just know what type of service you're going get the second you step in the door. The first greeting, the first impact of the cleanliness in the office, the reasonable financial consultation and the organization with their technology. I was so happy that my dentist (Dr. Tomita) referred me to Dr. Torok and her excellent team. I started treatment in 2010, they set up with monthly payments and were very patient with me. I say patient because disciplining yourself to wear your rubber bands isn't easy. Dr. Torok and staff were always friendly, helpful and flexible in scheduling my appointments. I couldn't be more satisfied with the results and service that I received. A family member took her daughter for braces with Dr. Torok soon after me. I found this business on Yelp and based on the reviews, I decided to bring my son in for a consultation. My son has a pretty gnarly underbite that we were told by another dentist he would definitely have to have surgery for, but after a little online research, I got the idea that while he is still young, there may be non-surgical options. Dr. Torok knew exactly what he needed and gave us a lot of hope. She provided us with a simple explanation and a few visual aids to help us understand the process she was going to emply to facilitate this change and very soon after, my son got started with his palatal expander and face mask. Fast forward a few months later and there is already a drastic change in the shape of his mouth and his bite, and we couldn't be more pleased! In addition to results, the overall experience has been so wonderful. Dr. Torok and her team work so well together. Everyone has a great attitude and the space is kept so clean and family-friendly. The only thing I wish were different is the days and times the office is open... BUT, at least at the moment, all the positives seem to justify adjusting our schedules a little. read more

If you are looking for an Orthodontist for you or your child I would highly recommend Dr. Torok! The office is kid friendly and always clean. Dr. Torok is very highly skilled and explains everything thoroughly. She has a great staff who makes you feel very welcome and comfortable. My appointments were made with ease each and every time throughout my whole treatment. I was very pleased with my results. Once I came for my last annual appointment to check my teeth and retainers, I was a little sad that I wouldn't need to see them anymore. Then 8 months later I had to make an appointment to get fitted for another retainer due to the airlines losing my luggage. Wow! Where do I start? From the very first day I walked into this office I was greeted by the friendliest staff that I've had the pleasure of meeting. Everyone is so nice and the office is beautiful. I am now several months into my treatment and it has continued to impress me how consistent the staff has been with their hospitality. I brought my daughter here 15 years ago and decided it's my turn. I am surprised to see how fast my teeth are straightening and how spectacular my smile looks.
