BOBAK MORSHED THE BUTCHER DENTIST OF SANTA MONICA - - 2010-07-02 If after reading about Dr. Bobak Morshed in the public information which is available, the only conclusion to come to is STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE BUTCHER! Dr. Morshed is a filthy individual who ruined my teeth and left a trail of destruction in my mouth which is not yet repaired. He should have never put in a temporary bridge where I recently had root canal from a different dentist, thank God. I had complained to him about the pain which he dismissed and went right on hurting me. He also was supposed to make an impression for the front crown that had broken and give me an immediate temporary. On the June 3, 2010 visit to his lair, he insisted he could do the permanent crown on this "new machine" he purchased for just that purpose. When I told him I don't feel confident or at ease with that machine he bullied me and simply had his way with me because he was shooting full of numbing medication. He also "decided" he was going to laser some area of my mouth because he "actually should not have started" was the exact words he used BEFORE checking if I had periodontal disease. When he finished the laser, I was in so much pain I began to cry. He told me it "shouldn't hurt much". Then he began to make the permanent crown for my front tooth. He was extremely dirty in that he went from patient to patient to the rep to the machine to my mouth, all without gloves or washing. When he was finished making the temporary bridge over my root canal, and the "permanent" crown for my upper front tooth, he never showed me a mirror which is always customary that the patient see the NEW AND PERFECT work the doctor performed and gets paid for. It was obvious he was trying to hide something. He had been grinding something in my mouth when he was "adjusting" his permanent crown. When I finally begged for a mirror, I was shocked and almost fainted when I saw what he had done. To accommodate his poorly made "permanent" crown made from his high tech machine, he grounded down my perfectly good and straight bottom tooth so that my teeth would close evenly. When I complained and cried, he took me and my husband to a small cubicle and tried to convince me and my husband that what he was doing was correct. I was not buying into that! The BUTCHER OF SANTA MONICA, as my husband now calls him, hammered away at me that the permanent crown he custom made on his newly bought machine would last far longer than a lab made one. He began coining phrases such as "a bulldozer couldn't move that crown" I made for you. And the temporary bridge I made for you will certainly last until the complete bridge is made. He kept telling me what a terrible mouth I had and other not so nice unpleasantries. That night, I was involved in a low speed crash when another car decided to make a u-turn in front of me. On the way to the hospital, BOTH THE PERMANENT TOOTH, AS WELL AS THE TEMPORARY BRIDGE FELL OUT OF MY MOUTH!! My husband received a call the next morning from THE BUTCHERS assistant who advised me that THE BUTCHER doesn't care to have me as his patient any longer. My husband requested our money back advising the assistant that both appliances were faulty and fell out of my mouth and how the BUTCHER OF SANTA MONICA ground my perfectly good tooth to compensate a fake crown when what should have been done was redo the incorrect crown which was hastily made and put in my mouth. The staff refused to refund any money stating that services were rendered. Anyone who goes to this BUTCHER after reading the numerous complaints from this board, the complaints from the California Dental Board, as well as the Los Angeles County Superior Court Cases, especially the most recent and published one, Sandra Hope, plaintiff vs. Bobak Morshed, defendant, deserves to be violated just for being stupid. "I went to the Morsheds to be seen as an emergency because i felt that i had an abcest tooth. I was in severe pain at the time, and the staff took me right back. Little did I know that this would be a four hour ordeal considering the lidocaine was not taking affect. Bobak Morshed treated me as if i was being a whiney baby, and he told me to shut-up or I could take my money somewhere else. The problem of the matter is that I know that I had an abcest tooth and this dentist should have just given me anitbiotics and sent me home, but he was not interested in the severe pain that i was enduring. I had a tooth extracted with severe pain, and the lack of the proper tools that needed to be used for this extraction. I was forced to swallow blood, and tooth decay and more then likely infection as well. Bobak Morshed did not even provide me with water to rinse out my mouth. He also didn't use any type of suction device to suck out the blood and tooth decay when he was taking out my tooth. This dentist is the most in humane and barbaric individual I have ever met in my entire life, and I have truely been victimized by this so called professional. His practice of dentistry is not only in humane but simply cruel. If there are others out there that have been victimized by this dentist please file with the attorney's general's office immediately so we can get him out of practice." read more

Dr. Bobak Morshed did a fabulous job on my new veneers. I had fake-looking bondings for most of my life and was always ashamed to smile. My friend told me about Dr. Morshed and his office. He had been going to see Dr. Morshed and his parents who are also dentists ever since he was a kid. He highly recommended their office and now I see why. Dr. Morshed did new veneers for me and they look perfect. But they also look natural and not like those fake looking teeth that so many people have. My new veneers also feel like normal teeth. I also had some of my old silver fillings replaced and now my whole mouth looks great. All the doctors and nurses at Dr. Morshed's office are friendly and I always feel like I am getting the best care every time I go there. I highly recommend this office. read more

Dr. Bobak Morshed took great care of me. Before going to his office, I saw another dentist about my toothache on a tooth that he had just put a crown on. That dentist told me I would need a root canal and then a new crown. This would have cost me over $2,000. I wanted a second opinion so I went to see Dr. Morshed. He was recommended to me by my neighbor who had been going to his office for over 20 years. He did some testing on my tooth and took an x-ray. He then adjusted the height of the tooth and told me to give the tooth some time. A week later the toothache went away completely. I see why my neighbor trusts him and his office so much now. From the moment I walked in the office I knew my visits would be frequent after that, all the employes are helpful, friendly, and extremely efficient. I havent gone to the dentist in over a year because I hate the process. My friend recommended I see Dr Morshed and I am so happy I listened to her. I can't say enough good things about this doctor and his staff. He was so caring, explained everything clearly and kindly. He gave me options and was open and honest about the choices I had. He walked me through two difficult fillings, explained exactly what he was doing while he was doing it, and even let me watch through a little mirror. Not only that, he was SOOO gentle! Dr. Morshed and the staff that work in his office are wonderful. I trust him completely. Even though I have left Santa Monica and it sometimes takes me 45 minutes to get to/from his office, it's worth the drive. I saw another dentist (when my insurance didn't cover Dr. Morshed) who filled my cavity and the filling fell out 3x in less than 2 months. As soon as I switched jobs and was covered with Dr. Morshed, I went back to him (I couldn't wait) for the filling. Dr. Morshed fixed it and it hasn't fallen out in over a year. Our children see Dr. Morshed in the pediatric practice, and she and her staff are WONDERFUL with the kids! They are fun, patient and keep the office very well stocked with books, toys and stickers. Our son recently had to have a tooth pulled, which I was very unsure how he'd react, but she explained everything in such a clear and friendly way that he was calm from start to finish. No issues, and believe it or not, that night at bedtime, when he named his "peak and pit" of the day, he said "Losing my tooth was the peak. No pits."
