Still have to give this two stars. Tried this location again on a Sunday afternoon. The girl at the register was friendly but not pleasant if that makes sense. She seemed overwhelmed and distracted and checking her phone often even though there was a very long line of customers. They also ran out of frozen bananas so couldn't make hardly any of the smoothies and refused to put a regular banana with extra ice. Said she didn't know how to "charge" for it. Why would you charge for raw banana over a frozen banana? I'm at the point where I won't ever go back here again and I'd suggest to their management to restructure as soon as possible. The inside of the shop is cute. There isn't much seating out front, which would be nice. There were only 2 employees working the day we stopped in around 10 am for breakfast. They didn't have any cash for change, so they were only able to take cards. Then when we were able to order, they were out of the açaí base. The 2 young guys were super friendly and I felt terrible they were totally overwhelmed. They had a line out of the door the whole time. The bowls were tasty - but not sure if they are worth the wait. When I asked if the order was ready, the employee said, "Oh, we don't have those bowls, so we've been canceling the orders." Yet, I had just received an email saying my bowlS were ready for pickup. Me and another party stopped in to redeem a free bowl as part of a Florida Panthers promotion. They left two poor girls hang out to dry to both take orders and make bowls for a good 20-25 people. Waited 45 minutes for an overpriced açaí bowl... and the service was lackluster. One picnic table out front was considerate.

Once you walk in, you see everything very colorful and clean. The staff greet you and they were very friendly. There are many things to pick from, so many flavors. I decided to go with their most popular one, Nutella. The Nutella Açaí was just amazing, it had the perfect toppings on top. I also got the Electric Mermaid Açaí and it was amazing. I personally liked the Electric Mermaid better but they were both great, specially on a hot summer day. I'm a HUGE mango fan. When I lived in NJ, I could rely on playa bowls to ALWAYS have good quality, ripe mangoes. That wasn't the case when I came to this location. I specifically asked if the mangoes were ripe and were told they were, so ordered my bowl with extra mango (at a fee). Well the mangoes were crunchy! I was very disappointed. Playa bowls is now cheap. And considering it's a place based around fruit, I think there should be some QC when it comes to what they're serving. read more

I saw someone walk by with a bowl covered in Nutella and had to try it. There is a massive menu to the right when you walk in. It was very overwhelming and I didn't know where to start. I am so glad I knew what I wanted to try. I had the Nutella bowl and it was DELICIOUS! MUST HAVE! The price is $12.48 with tax. There are cheaper options and healthier options too. The bowl is HUGE, unlike other places the portion is very generous. The store is well decorated and fun to be in. I am very excited to go back and try their other options. Very close to the Deerfield beach alongside several other restaurants. There isn't any street parking, but a nearby parking garage. Slowest Smoothie experience ever. A blonde working on her own today was taking a long time on 2 people before me, and it looked like she was working in slow motion. So, I walked out before ordering. Yesterday, it took something like 30-45 minutes for my wife to get a smoothie after she ordered and paid, and my wife described a similar looking girl working in slow motion on her smoothies too. We came here a couple times ordering pitaya, acai, and banana bowls. We also had an acai smoothie. In general, everything met our expectations and we were happy with each. The banana feels a little bit blah so we'd probably add more toppings next time. We loved the jams they were playing and the outdoor seating: rocking Adirondack chairs, what. I watched the only girl working take 15 or more orders before she could even start working on them. The location in Davie always has 5-6 people working and is super quick. I know the owners are the same for both locations, PLEASE PLEASE add more staff. It should never take 30+ mins to get an ice coffee and a açaí bowl, it's insane. Hi!! I went in to the Deerfield Beach location last Friday, August 19th and absolutely loved it! I went in around 7:30 PM with my husband and grabbed some bowls before walking the beach. The service was great! It was a guy and a girl working, both looked around 17. My bowls came out and were so yummy!!! I was so thrilled with my experience that I came back 2 days ago on Wednesday. It was just one girl working. She was super sweet and even though I came in close to closing, she was still providing great customer service and made my bowls just as amazing as the first time. Typically like eating here but I need to complain about one employee was a b*tch. It was 9:30pm when we placed a pick-up order for two bowls and a smoothie. I walked in saying I'm here to pick up an order at 9:50 (on Uber it said it was ready for pick-up). The employee said one minute and began making the food although it said I was ready for pick-up. While she was making the food at 9:55 other customers came in and the two girls working both said that the store was closing in 5 minutes and make it seem like they couldn't make anymore orders so the customers left. Both girls look at each other and said "thank god" I thought this was off putting. Anyway she finally finished my order and handed the bowls to me without and bags, spoons, or even any lids. Than she goes " we had to refund your smoothie because or smoothie makers are always broken" I felt this was clearly a lie because she didn't even attempt to make it and clearly was being lazy.
