This is such a cute location. There is plenty of seating indoors and the walls have adorable artwork. The strawberry banana smoothie is refreshing and filling. I don't believe there is any artificial sweetener, so it is on the more mild side of the sweetness scale. However, at nearly $10 for a 16-ounce smoothie, it does feel a bit pricey. This is the first time we have eaten here and it was awesome!! We got the classic tuna Poke and they were one of the best I have ever gotten! The Tuna was bright and fresh with a delicious soy sauce on top. The sauce was just enough to mix into the perfectly cooked brown rice and it made the rice have a nice flavor without being overpowering. The avocado was bright green and all the veggies were fresh. I will definitely come back for a Playa or other bowl and would not hesitate to recommend Playa Bowl. They also have smoothies and other yummy options. Firstly, Playa Bowls will consistently serve you the best ingredients, no additives, and vegan combinations of açaí bowls out there. I've had well over 100 açaí bowls in my lifetime and Playa Bowls will always be a favorite. The portions are generous and prices are fair, you def get the most bang for your buck here versus the competitors. Every staff member at this location since they opened have been nothing but kind and accommodating. Place your order online first if you don't want to wait! Used to love this place, but something has changed. Id go so far as to say these were probably some of the worst açaí and poke bowls Ive ever had. My husband got the Salmon bowl with GF soy sauce. It was so salty je couldnt finish. The bottom of the bowl was a soup of sauce. I had the Tuna bowl- the rice tasted like straight vinegar and rice was extremely over cooked. Fish tasted fresh, but the rice/salty sauce ruined it. Three days later we ordered acai bowl. The acai wasnt blended fully and had ice chunks. The granola was extremely sugary and tasted like cereal, not granola. Staff is always super nice and efficient, however their menu needs a revision, or staff needs training on how to properly make these dishes. read more

These are hands down the best smoothie bowls you will ever eat in your life. There are so many options for your base: açaí, pitaya, coconut, banana, green, oatmeal, and chia. Coconut is definitely my favorite, and I can't say I'd recommend the banana- it kinda just tastes like icy cold mushed banana. The fruit toppings are all so delicious, fresh, and vibrant. Depending on what time you come, they will have quite the crowd, so expect a wait during the summer but during the off season they literally had my sister's food ready before I could even decide from the menu. Playa bowls is a really nice option to have here in Beach Haven. It offers nice cold, somewhat healthy bases with granola, fruit, and lots of additional optional toppings. Refreshing and not too heavy. Their Poke Bowls turned out to be a yummy lunch or dinner option as well--the tuna poke bowl and beet bowl were both good but our favorite was the salmon avocado bowl. The negatives for me were the workers' hazy understanding of what was gluten-free and the sometimes long wait (when they ran out of rice for the poke bowls!), but the food was tasty and I'd go back again happily. read more

I have never written a yelp review in my life but my experience today was horrific. I ordered my bowl at 12:40 only to get it at 2:07 after asking multiple times if they had been working on my order. It wasn't until my friend demanded a refund that I finally got my bowl after over an hour of waiting. They were very unorganized since around 10 people who ordered after me got their bowls before me.
