But this top golf experience was a little bit different, yeah of course not perfect especially because the tables were sticky and quite dirty so that was unpleasant, and our bayhost was alright but it felt a little like she was annoyed of us so it kind of ruined the mood, but the server who brought us our food honestly made the whole experience reach the 4 stars! He was a really nice, funny, pleasant, well mannered young gentleman. He brought us the food and actually took some time explaining everything and made genuine conversations, making jokes and being extremely friendly, not only with me but my whole family, he was also extremely fast and understanding and got us everything we needed even though I'm sure he was busy and had things to do! I usually don't write reviews regarding servers but this young man named Jamari really stood out, it truly feels really nice when someone who's a server takes out time from they're day to be genuine and have a conversation, and it really sets the mood for the rest of the experience you have. Especially not knowing how that can change someone's whole day. So all I have to say my family's experience was really made great because of the nice young man Jamari, each top golf deserves an employee like him! This course was recommended as it was closer to our location on the beach…read more We were able to get an earlier (8 am) tee time on a Thursday a couple of days ahead but clear they were all booked. We had 3 in our group and were paired up with a single which worked out nicely. They were having some issues with their card machine but it was worked out by the time we got to the turn. Course was forgiving, mostly open although they had some water throughout and mature trees which made for some scenic holes. Greens were mostly in good shape. They have a driving range and a decent sized putting green. Prices were reasonable at about $50 per person including rental clubs. They have a small grill that offered a light breakfast and lunch and some goods/equipment for sale in the pro shop. Course attendant was friendly and as well all in the Pro shop. A good option about 15 minutes from the beach (35th)

Short course. Fun to play. Don't get too greedy and keep the driver in the bag on the short holes…read more Play for position and you'll score just fine with a short iron in hand. Even from the tips I think this course is only about 6,000 yards. Don't expect anything special. You can't beat playing 18 holes with a cart for only $25. It's far from being the nicest place in terms of layout and course condition but you get a course that has a decent layout where you're forced to strategically place your tee shots. They do have a big (and nice) putting green, a small chipping green area with a bunker and a practice range that's limited to shots 175 yards and less. A great place to stop by to shoot the ish after work and practice or tee it up on weekends with your buds who hardly play golf.

Kempsville Greens is a municipal golf course of Virginia Beach. Upon arrival at the pro shop to check in, I was greeted by the pro and was handed my golf cart key. The staff here are very friendly and professional and the pro shop had lots of merch to choose from. The cafeteria was next door and seating is available if desired. Outside the pro shop are the practice greens and chipping green. Both in good condition. The golf carts come equipped with a GPS system which helps keep the speed of play at a nice pace. The course itself isn't very long but the tree lined fairways make some opening drives challenging. There are a few par 3 " cart path only" holes. The 10th hole in particular can see a bit of a bottleneck with several groups that are ahead of yours waiting to tee off. But there is plenty of shade and the pace seems to correct itself shortly after completing with the 10th. I had a fantastic time at Kempsville Greens and will most certainly be returning .

What a transformation from the old to new Golf Galaxy Performance Center with now a Town Center…read morelocation. The spot is in the newly renovated shops across from Town Center that was formerly a Bed Bath and Beyond. The store will be in a strip with Trader Joe's soon to open next month and ABC liquors. No issues with parking at this point. The new store opened this week with Grand Opening this weekend, the kick off at 9 AM Friday will give 100 lucky customers gift cards worth up to $500. Through the weekend there will be fun with closest to the pin contest to win prizes. I was greeted by an army of friendly staff eager to help. Staff explained the layout of the store. Men's merchandise to the left, women to the right. The performance center is in the rear where you can practice your drive with interactive screens. They also have a designated pro's room that customers can hire. The displays were magnificently laid out. All the major golf brands are represented. They have everything and anything a golfer could dream of wanting including a pro shop for service including grips. I plan to come back this weekend with more time and hope to score on a few prizes too! Every single staff I ran across engaged me in a helpful way. Expect Golf Galaxy to be a force in Virginia Beach.
