It was surprisingly empty on a Sunday at lunch time. Cassidy's service could not have been better; she was attentive without being intrusive and we didn't want for anything. The food was also good. I had a Plain Jane burger--I wish I had opted for the sweet potato fries because my friends got them with their sampler platter and they were delicious! Yelp wants me to touch on ambiance, so in short, it's moody with dark wood, a beautiful bar with several tables and plenty of big screens if that's your thing! read more

We stood there for about 15 minutes before a bartender finally showed up, but by that point we had already decided to leave. On 2/24/25, I saw at the bar at this establishment, 4 adults in total. Read that I said BAR. When we asked for martinis, the bartender (middle aged, glasses, tats) replied "no." There was no reason (he didn't have the ingredient, he didn't have the glassware, etc) just an affirmative "no." We ordered drinks and he requested to swipe my card to keep the tab open. I acquiesced. When it came time to pay, the other couple covered the bill in cash and the bartender STILL ran my card for the full purchase price. We left the next day, and I called when I saw the charge. I could not get anyone on the line, there was no way to leave a voice message, and the prompts just took me to the hotel's main desk (the brewery is situated in a hotel). I tried 2x more with the same result and by this time, we had driven home (3 hours away). The tab was $100 so this bartender STOLE himself a $100 tip plus the generous time my friend left in cash. I can get over the rudeness, but theft is inexcusable as is a total lack of means to communicate this issue to management. Do not go here. Do not give them your money - they will take double what is owed them after giving you rude service. Zero stars if I could. PS - their beer is terrible. But I wouldn't have even reviewed the place based on that had all of this ^^^ not occurred. read more

Stopped here for dinner and a beer on the evening we arrived for a week-long stay near town. The beer was good as was the food. I had a cheese quesadilla, which was HUGE and tasty, and the man had the French Dip in a wrap with the best fries we've had in a long time. He says the FD was really good. Nice wood and brick decor. The skinny blonde bartender had her back to us for over 5 minutes , then proceeded ti go to end of the bar and chit chatted with some guy with a Mohawk . Cozy space with televisions all the way around. With DirectTv, you are able to watch all the sports you desire. They have a nice selection for drafts to suit all palates...especially for cider fans. I have a friend that doesn't really like beer but does like ciders and says most places only have 1 so I've been paying close attention to those. They also have a nice wine selection available. Let's talk food....they offer your typical brewery menu...flatbreads, burgers, chicken tenders, hot sandwiches (Reuben, Chicken Crisp Melt, Mac & Cheese Melt to name a few), but also salads, and dinner. I had a BBQ Chicken flatbread and was quite pleased to find it had real chicken. Nice hand cut chicken breast, not uniform diced chicken. I requested it well done as I like a crispy flatbread and got it just the way I like it. If you follow me, you already know I forgot the server's name...but he brought it out to make sure it was okay because well done means the cheese is also well done. It was PERFECT! No burned cheese, darker around the edges but not burnt. The kitchen staff was willing to remake it if I was unhappy about the cheese. We went to a party here on December 3 the service was very slow. The place was understaffed with two young girls trying to play bartender. There was another party going on in the other room with no additional staff. I haven't been here in over a year the place is still horrible for service. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DO NOT EAT HERE! We were told to seat ourselves, then no one came over to greet us or give us menus for 5 minutes. They don't brew their own beer anymore. We ordered side salads with our dinners. After almost an hour, still no salads. I asked the waitress when the salads were coming, and that I didn't want the dinners to come right after the salads. She said she would check on it because they share a kitchen with the Perkins downstairs. She never went to check on the salads. After 5-10 more minutes, she came back over to start clearing the dishes from the party next to us that had left 45 minutes before, so I asked what the verdict was on the salads. She said she would go right now to check. 10 more minutes pass, then she comes back with the salads AND dinners. I told her I wanted the salads first, not everything at the same time. She said, "You never said that!" I explained to her that side salads always come first, then the dinner. Let alone that I indeed did tell her I wanted the salads first. She then said, "There's no need to be rude!" I definitely wasn't rude, as I was a waitress back in the day. She said, "You were asking for your food, so here it is!" She left all the food on the tray on a neighboring table, so I had to pass out everything. Realized we never got silverware. I had to go to the bar to ask for silverware. She brings over 3 forks and two napkins (there were 4 of us), no knives. She said they were "slammed" so they hadn't had time to roll silverware. There were 4 parties at tables and a few people at the bar. That is NOT SLAMMED with two people working! At this point, we just wanted to leave. We had a marvelous time here. We sat in the dining area, which is beautiful with old dark wood and a fireplace. The service was excellent and the food was delicious and modestly priced. I had the apple walnut salad with salmon-very fresh and tasty with the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. The brews were equally good; seasonal options were available. Since this is a kind of hidden gem, we'd like to make sure people can find it. Signage is poor. The main sign on the street side is black with white lettering and was not lit up, so virtually impossible to read. The sign on the building did not face the street and was also dark. The restaurant is in between Perkins (on the street side) and the hotel (inland). As another reviewer mentioned, it seems like it is part of the hotel. I should have been wary when I pulled in and saw the place was attached to a Comfort Inn. The decor was nice and had brewery/ sports at feel. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the beers. I got a flight and only liked one beer. The ales were bland. The Red ok and the stout was watery and bitter. For dinner I got ravioli and meatballs. The beer is good. Also they are attached to a hotel! So they get 4 stars from me for those two reasons. So if you are meeting up with a few friends or want to watch a game, then I think this place will be good. They even have growlers for sale since they brew their own beer. I chalked it up to the quality difference between most US providers compared to Canadian. The service saved it though! I am a local, and I was so embarrassed by the abysmal service I witnessed tonight. We arrived and politely waited 15 minutes to be seated At an almost empty restaurant. The tables were loaded with dishes And the staff ignored them and us. We were finally seated and then Ignored again for another 10 minutes. Waitresses ignored our table. I watched as waitress was in her phone, then slowly wandered around dining room--no interaction with customers at all. Stopped in here while school shopping with my son for a late lunch. The dining room was closed so we sat in the bar, there was hardly anyone there however the layout was great and they had some bar games should you want to play darts, etc. the beers were good, not excellent but good, we have quite a diverse craft beer scene in VT where we are from so maybe I'm being overly finicky - food was good we all enjoyed our meals. One note when ordering our burgers the waitress told us about the sides one of which was garlic fries we all thought that sounded good and ordered them, they are literally minced garlic on French fries so just beware of that as it is a bit overwhelming..I guess we expected some spice vs. minced garlic. The blackened chicken is very good. However, part of meal, the mashed potatoes were not even warm and were cold in most spots. The week before when I went, I noticed the quality of the Sunday football appetizers was not good. This is why I decided to order off the mail menu. There is only one server for about 30 people in the bar area and however many in the dining area. She did not check and ask about if the food was okay. So I brought it home to warm up for the next day. I do really like this place but they definitely have some improvements to make to get back to the way the use to be. read more

I recently stumpled upon the P B Co. and decided to give it a try. The food was just alright but nothing too crazy. The onion soup was appetizing as well as the calamari. I wanted to try the cat fish but they were all out so i had the crab cakes. They were average. The reason for only giving 3 stars stems from the service. Absolutely terrible. No one hosted us, no plates, napkins or silverware. We didn't even have a specific waiter or waitress. Does someone manage this place? Basically, if you are a young college student or even a tourist looking to try it out, be ready for potentially poor service. I am not sure if the well crafted beers will work but enjoy. My wife and I had dinner here a few weeks ago for the first time. I had been there for retirement parties and such, so I had tried their snack food. That had always been very good. We arrived just as they were opening and there was no one to seat us. After a few minutes the manager came out and realized that no one else was there, so he seated us and got us menus. He came back a few minutes later to get us drinks. He seemed out of sorts. I'm guessing it was because he had no wait staff. He continued to take care of us and took our orders. Before our food was ready, he had to seat 2 more tables. Finally a waitress showed up to help. Followed shortly by a second who delivered our meal. The manager handled it all very well and didn't slow things down very much. I had a Mediterranean pasta with grilled chicken. It was an excellent dish. I would order it again. My wife chose the create-your-own pasta option. I don't remember her choices, but I do remember tasting it and it was very good. We both had house salads; standard, but fresh. In all, a very good meal. The beer is not bad either. I will go back soon. Went there the manager harassed my friends and girlfriend all night. My girlfriend complained about the drinks tasting awful and he screamed in her face and shoved a 20 on her hand. He screamed and appeared to be on something because no rational person would behave in such a manner. My wife and I were going to make a Subway run since we dig that when we get home from a long week of making cash. Boy, am I happy that my friend called me and suggested we go somewhere to eat and have a chat. We went over a short list of options and I felt that since I am new to Plattsburgh, maybe I should give the Plattsburgh Brewing Co. a shot. Besides marrying the greatest lady alive and adopting a mile of dilapidated highway, this might have been one of the greatest decisions of my life. I'll cut to the chase: Our server, Spencer, was fully engaged in the experience with us. Spencer was genuine and knowledgeable about all of the beer on tap as well as the items on the menu. He was patient as I asked a multitude of questions and professional during the entire experience. I use the word experience because from start to finish, this is how dining should be. I had the Carbonara and the home made pasta was the star of the show as it was cooked perfectly. The cream sauce, bacon, and spinach was perfect, making me wish that I didn't have a body to maintain. I would definitely eat this every day. I had two paddles worth of beer which I put in Spencers hands to choose. He chose the best possible assortment and even labeled each sample. The quality of the beer is on par, possibly better than other local breweries I have been to. Especially that Citra IPA. Oh baby, you owe it to yourself to have some of that on a summer day. So crisp, so flavorful, so bold. I feel like I might go off on a tangent. Let's wrap up this review with a bow. Value. Value. Value. Out of four people, fully served, stuffed, and satiated, our bill came to $65. I actually recoiled because of how low this bill was. I checked to make sure Spencer didn't leave anything out, because I could have sworn that the experience I had was similar to those I have had in 5 star/4 diamond restaurants. Wow. I consider myself privileged to have experienced this place and will recommend it to anyone who appreciates a great experience. The beer selection is heavy on IPA; I ordered a "Peach Gose." I love gose. I love peach. This was neither. This just tasted like a bad bitter beer. I got no peach nor salt flavor whatsoever. Quesadilla was very low on cheese. Mushroom ravioli admittedly in a sauce packed with mushroom flavor, but the ravioli was billed as being filled with mushrooms too, and it was just cheese ravioli. This could actually be a pretty good place but, after a few times here the service is really horrible. Like pathetic horrible. Staff here enjoys talking to each other behind bar way more then they care about watching and taking care of patrons. The food is actually pretty decent but the service literally takes it way down. Whenever the blonde is working the bar ,usually in a sweater and jeans and high boots and the dude who is all tattooed up ....its really horrible. The two of them back there walk around like their stuff doesn't stink and could literally care less about whether you need a drink or if you want to order food. Both are super cold and short when they speak to you and its shame. We are here with a big group in the Comfort Inn doing a cable project and will probably be here through next year. We have a lot of guys and most of the guys that are here with us have the same complaint, bad service. And you get a feeling like your not welcomed there.....whenever I visit a place I try to tip well so each time the service is great but here it doesn't matter they just don't care. We will continue to stay at the Comfort Inn (which is an awesome hotel,with great Cust.. serv) but will eat and drink elsewhere. It's a shame ,there's a lot of money to be made off of our group ,we tend to eat a lot, drink a lot and leave great tips. No worries, huge loss for this place.
