First of all -- let's start with the most important part -- this facility is BLACK WOMEN OWNED and you can absolutely feel the love, excellence, and intention the moment you walk in. You can get your hair done right here by some of the most talented, professional, and welcoming stylists. My stylist is Mrs. Vivienne of Amanda's Touch Beauty Salon, and when I tell you she does an AMAZING job on my hair... I mean every single time. She is consistent, gifted, and truly cares about healthy hair. I always leave feeling confident, refreshed, and cute. ‍ Now let me get back to Platinum Wellness Spa because whew -- this is not just a spa, it's an EXPERIENCE. This is a Black-owned women's spa where women, men, friends, and family can all come together to relax, reset, and be pampered. The facility is absolutely beautiful, clean, calming, and full of good energy. It's the kind of place that instantly makes you slow down and breathe. They even offer tours of the spa, so you can really see everything they have to offer. You just have to reach out to them to schedule a day and time. So I booked this for Valentine's Day after I worked they close at 8pm and my appointment was at 5:45, so I will base some of my disdain on it being a busy day and my appointment being later in the day. Upon entering I had high hopes because the reception to the spa area although it was small it looked warm and inviting. I was checked in and led to a women's restroom/locker room and this is where my experience became lackluster. I was shown a locker where to put my things and there was a rolled up half towel situation and some blue slippers. I'm a big girl. Never was I asked what size I needed for either. My butt was out and the slides were too small....... Then as I'm putting my belongings in the locker I noticed that the floor was filthy. Like hair, dust, like it may not have been swept in about a week. Then I was led to a room with oxygen chairs, I was told to have a seat, but the oxygen service was never explained or anything, there were also snacks in the area and I knew I could partake due to signage the hostess who brought me to the area was very frazzled and didn't seem to know what she was doing. I can't remember her name. The ONLY reason why they got the two stars is because the person who did my Posh Facial was the TRUTH. If it had not been for her I would have gave the entire experience 0 stars would not recommend. I actually struggled with writing this review because I want us to WIN but we have to do better. After my service was over the checkout was EVEN worse than the check in. There were people standing in the hallway right outside my door because there was no more available seats in the waiting area. When I went back in the locker room now there was now what looked to be pubic hairs and candy wrappers on the floor, the hostess this time did pick up the used robes and slides out of the floor before she left me to change. When I got back to the front there were two other young ladies checking out before me and I heard them questioning their total. When it was my turn and she told me MY price after deposit, I asked the same question & they are charging the CLOVER fees back to the customer. WOODHOUSE would never. We recently visited Platinum Wellness Spa to celebrate a 50th birthday and purchased the "Best Birthday Ever Package" for over $2,400. While the facility was beautiful, most staff were courteous, and the Swedish massage was excellent, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. Our day started off poorly when none of the robes or slippers we had provided sizes for in advance were ready upon arrival. Despite confirming a 12:30 PM start time multiple times, we were told our appointments were actually at 12:00 PM and that we were late, resulting in shortened services. The entire day lacked organization. Our party was separated for most of the experience, there was no event coordinator, and gender preferences for massage therapists that had been requested in advance were not honored. The advertised 30-minute foot massages lasted about 10 minutes after technicians spent much of the time talking. One member of our party couldn't fully enjoy the Jacuzzi due to scheduling issues. There were also cleanliness and safety concerns. The outdoor loveseats were dirty and surrounded by bugs and spider webs, the slippers provided were oversized and posed a fall hazard, and one member of our party observed what appeared to be mold in the sauna. The facial process was concerning as two guests were never asked about allergies. One experienced facial swelling from an allergic reaction, while another broke out afterward. Dinner was rushed and not private as advertised. We were told the chef was ready while some of us were still wet from the hot tub, forcing us to dine in swimsuits and robes. The food was disappointing, with overcooked salmon and pasta and burnt egg rolls. We also had to remind staff to bring the Prosecco included in our package. The worst part was checkout. Although we had paid our invoice in full, including the 18% gratuity, management insisted we still owed money. After showing proof of payment, we waited 40 minutes while they "researched" the issue, only for another employee to tell us we were "good to go." The manager never returned to apologize. This interaction left us feeling extremely uncomfortable and raised serious concerns about the spa's billing practices. Being questioned about payments that had already been made, especially after providing proof, was an upsetting way to end an already disappointing experience. For a birthday package costing over $2,400, we expected far better organization, customer service, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this was not the luxury experience we were promised, and we will not be returning. read more

Ended up in GA for an impromptu birthday trip and as a tradition had to do a spa day! I wanted to be intentional about supporting as many black businesses while in town which is a lot to do in Atlanta area. Great customer service. They were super busy, but Ashley took my # and gave me a call back, answered my questions and assisted with putting together the perfect package (sidenote, the hold music was a vibe!). Platinum pedi Sidney was super nice and even had suggestions for me while I was in town. French pedicure. Vichy shower (30m) a very positive experience. I've had a couple a body scrubs including wet and dry. This was definitely one of my faves. Professional service. Thai table massage (60m) who knew a fully clothed massage focus on stretching can feel so amazing. It was my first time massage and it won't be my last. I'm delayed on this review so I apologize I do not remember the young man's name. But he was super good. Meal- I received a text from the chef the night before for meal selections and chose jerk chicken, mac & cheese and spinach. Added a key lime cup cake. Overall the meal was pretty good, the chef was kind and the suave was cute and clean. Wellness package (amenities) Pretty standard with the jacuzzi, sauna, they steam room, etc. Their outdoor area with swings is really cute. Essentially it's like a mini Oasis I love the indoor/ outdoor concept which is not as common and spas that I've been to. Two of the three stars were for the massage bc that thing was good. I needed 30 more minutes, honestly. The third star was for the types of amenities available. However, I'm not sure if this is a place I will drive out my way for. My friends and I came here to have some girl time before one of our friends in our friend group moves away. The package options are cute however the price point is very high for the service. I know your price is your price but looking at the overall average of prices for similar services in Atlanta, Platinum is on the higher end. When having a spa day, I'm used to people practically magically appearing when it was time to either move or transition to the next service. The logistical flow of our party wasn't very smooth. I understand we aren't the only people in the establishment but we spent a majority of our time a little confused. Timing didn't flow well either because one half of our party hadn't experienced the included amenities by time we were told we could move to the party room for our snacks. The communication aspect is missing. Things i would suggest is bigger locker rooms for a more comfortable experience. I know space may be limited but i was a little thrown off being escorted to a room with just lockers and not the slightly larger room that included the shower, one bathroom and one sink. The bathroom space is typically one of the larger spaces in a spa. Also, it wasn't obvious that the snacks in the cabinet were for client use-I'm used to seeing a setup on a table in the "relaxation" area - which there was a table there but not being used for that. I'm not even going to go into the mystery of my friend's disappearing Stanley cup. I wish this company all the best but I'm not sure I will be back. read more

I honestly wish I could give this place less than one star. I booked a Vichy shower with a body scrub and hydrotherapy, and let me start by saying that Reya (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) was the only bright spot. She was wonderful professional, kind, and truly excellent at what she does. But the overall customer service at this establishment? Deplorable!! This was my first time visiting, and instead of guiding me or making me feel welcome, they acted annoyed that I didn't already know what to do. The way they spoke to me and treated me made it very clear they had no interest in providing a relaxing experience. I felt confused, rushed, and honestly judged. To add insult to injury, I was charged for services I never even received. I brought it up immediately, and they told me I received the services when I KNOW I did not. They said they would go get Ashley. I waited at least 10 minutes but Ashley never came. No explanation, no apology, nothing. I am not sure they even went to get Ashley. I left extremely disappointed. If you're hoping for a peaceful, relaxing wellness experience, just know that unless you can get past the front desk and their terrible customer service, you may be in for the same treatment I received. read more

There were pros and cons but the pros outweighed the cons. Let's start with the pros.. my nail technician was patient and kind, my tour guide was very friendly and helpful, the young lady who escorted me to my meal was also very friendly and helpful and the chef was wonderful. Her food was delicious and I loved the relaxing atmosphere.... The outside ambience was fantastic I'm glad the weather was nice because I really enjoyed sitting outside very much. Now for the cons... I booked the Bronze package and my first appointment was 9:30am I was told to arrive 20 to 30 minutes early. I arrived at 9:05 and I believe it was the cleaning service and was told to come back at 9:30. My nail appointment ran long because they had to soak off what I previously had on my nails. I received a phone call from the front desk reminding me of my massage appointment and wanted to know if I was on my way. I said I'm already here since 9:30 this morning she apologized and said she'll come over and speak with me. They asked my nail tech how much longer and she explained the delay of the soaking which should've been discussed when I was scheduled to determine the time factor. I said can we push back the massage so my nails could be completed. She said I'll ask and get back to you. Few minutes later she came back and said the masseuse can wait 45 minutes but any later will cut into my 60 minutes massage. I said ok . A few minutes later 2 people came over to check my time and to inform my nail tech that she had another appointment waiting. My nail tech still gave me what I wanted (my nails are beautiful) but it was rushed toward the end. Then I was escorted to the massage and yes my time was cut short and I was charged for the full 60 minutes. Then after I got dressed and stepped out of the room I was clueless to what was next I stood there a few minutes confused but a staff member saw my expression and was very friendly and helpful. She led me to the locker room and I was given a waffle type robe and slippers I mentioned waffle type because all of the other robes I saw was plush. The locker room floor was not clean there was hair on the floor. After I changed into my bathing suit and put on the robe the same friendly staff member had me sit in the oxygen room by a beautiful fireplace and said she'll return to give me a tour. After a few minutes she returned and informed me my meal service is running a little late because there was a group party . She gave me a tour of the first floor and the outside area. Now I really loved the outside area, it was peaceful and beautiful. So I sat down and read my book and waited a very long while for the meal service. When another friendly staff member approached me and escorted me to the meal service it was beautiful in there and the food was definitely worth the wait. The chef was very friendly and apologized for the delay. My high points were definitely the food service and the outside areas.. yes I would consider returning to this establishment but I would definitely not start with the nail service in case it runs overtime and there seems to be a disconnect I book a package deal and you call me to ask if I'm on my way and I was already there for at least 3 hours....... And please make sure the locker room is clean....... read more

My daughter n law went on May 2 for her birthday. They did not greet her first of all, she didn't receive her tiara. The whole experience was terrible. They ruined her birthday. She didn't receive but 1 service from the packagecthat was purchase, and they gave her a hard time about getting some of her money back. Will not recommend read more

Unfortunately, the booking process has been extremely difficult and time-consuming. Each time I called to book, I was placed on hold for approximately 20 minutes. When I reached out by email to move the process along, I was told the total cost would be $623 and that a 50% deposit would be $189.78, which did not align mathematically. When I called back for clarification, I was again placed on hold for more than 20 minutes. I called again the following day and was told the deposit amount had been calculated incorrectly. At that point, I confirmed that I was ready to proceed and make payment to book, but I was once again placed on hold for nearly 20 minutes. This experience has been very frustrating and, honestly, feels unprofessional. Booking a package and providing a deposit of that amount should not require multiple calls, long hold times, and repeated follow-ups to correct basic information. I was genuinely interested in booking with this business, but the amount of time and effort required just to complete a reservation has been discouraging. read more

Spa experiences should be seamless - from start to finish. I regret that my starting nor my finishing experiences at Platinum Wellness Spa were seamless today. However, Christopher provided me with an amazing stretch and massage session! If, after reading this review, you go to Platinum - definitely check him and Nick (an amazing provide who I experienced previously) out. I value a balanced review and I like to give credit where it is due. Unfortunately, while the providers were amazing, the front desk and management staff lacked warmth, professionalism, attentiveness, accuracy, and accountability. Upon our arrival (on 12/10 @ 10:30am), we experienced a front desk staff member who was flat and unengaged. She did not review the services or pricing upon our arrival. Once I changed into my robe, I went to look for her to receive a tour of the spa and the amenities. I waited a bit and did not see her do knocked on the staff door to let her know we were available. She unenthusiastically gave a tour, but were did get the information needed. After I enjoyed the steam room for 10 minutes, I hoped to move to the sauna. Unfortunately, it was barely warm. When I informed the same staff member she mentioned "it takes a while to get hot"... and suggested that she turned it on about an hour before. This was my experience during the first 20 minutes at the spa. Upon leaving, I informed that I misunderstood the use of the amenities. I thought they were complementary on Wednesdays, which is why I asked for complementary amenities when I booked. However, I accept that I must have misunderstood. Nonetheless, given that I only used the steam room for 10 minutes, and the sauna was not functioning properly, I was surprised to be charged $40 for the 10 minute steam room experience and time spent sitting in the lounge chairs. Further, there was no acknowledgement that it was the facility's responsibility to be sure the sauna was prepared for usage. The manager, Stephanie, was clear, curt and inflexible. The beginning and end of any experience is just as important as the middle. This was not a platinum level experience. It is important to note that only one previous visit this spa, I did have a positive experience all around with different front desk staff and management. read more

I truly believe this is going to be my go to spot for relaxing! Thank you Carla for showing me what and where things were. My masseuse - Angelic, is the bomb dot com! She was very professional, she worked out my stress, and made me feel so much better! She was a blessing! Next, was the steam room - a- mazing! The gardens areas were well maintained and very enjoyable. Lastly, I had a mani and pedi. Dora was very professional and attentive. I explained my situation and she did her thing! I had no problems. Oh, and the essential oil scents throughout my time were relaxing, clean, and helped my asthma. Yes, I will be back! I truly enjoyed my experience! While visiting my best friend in Conyers, we decided to treat ourselves to a relaxing spa day. The prices were definitely on the higher end (but hey--it's a spa, right?), so I didn't think much of it at first. What did raise an eyebrow was the requirement to put down half the total cost upfront per service, which felt excessive. The next day, I arrived on time, but my friend was running behind. I was told her appointment couldn't be rescheduled or canceled and she would lose her deposit. Honestly, that seemed a little harsh, but I get that policies are policies. Thankfully, the front desk girl was understanding and allowed me to apply her deposit toward my own service, which I really appreciated. That was probably the only highlight of the front desk experience. Now let me say--the massage itself was incredible. My masseuse was amazing and had me so relaxed I caught myself snoring a couple times. She definitely knew what she was doing and hit all the right spots. No complaints there! But things took a turn after that. When it came time to check out, I paid about $180 plus tip. All good. Then I asked about using the spa's amenities--because oddly, no one mentioned them to me at any point, gave me a tour, or even hinted that they were available. That's when I was told it would be an additional $50 just to use them. I seriously thought it was a joke. I'm visiting from Las Vegas, where high-end spas and resort experiences are the norm. I've had massages at some of the most luxurious spas in the city--and not once have I ever been told I'd have to pay extra to use amenities after already spending $200+ on a service. That kind of policy just feels greedy. Long story short: I left feeling disappointed and ripped off. The massage was great, but everything else--from the payment policy to the lack of communication and that ridiculous amenity upcharge--was a complete turnoff. I had one of the best experiences I have ever had at a spa at this establishment! I can't wait to book another day full of pampering and relaxation. Let's take it back to first impressions- it started off rough, but won me over once I actually arrived. I won a spa package at work and asked for a gift card to this establishment. The gift card was purchased by someone within my company and placed in my name. The amount of the gift card was for $500. I called and scheduled the Bronze package for my mom and i. . It includes the wellness package (Complimentary robe/shoes during your stay, Steam Sauna, Indoor, Zen Area, Oxygen Bar, Outdoor Zen Area, Jacuzzi Room, Loveseat Deck, Koi Pond Access and Complimentary Wine or Champagne), a 60 minute Swedish massage, 45 minute manicure, 60 minute pedicure and a meal). I was told that they would need to charge me $240 for a down payment. I asked her if she could charge that amount to the $500 gift card that was on file. We went back and forth for about 10 minutes. She eventually advised she would speak with the owner about handling the down payment with the gift card and call me back. I did receive a call and confirmed the gift card was fine. I was told that I needed to call prior to our appointment to let them know which meal we wanted. When I attempted to call in for the meal I was placed on hold for 15 minutes. I finally spoke with Alex who ended up disconnecting the call prior to me advising the reason for my call. When I called back she did apologize and stated that they were understaffed. These phone interactions happened about a month prior to my actual appointment. Fast forward to the actual day I received services. My mom and I headed over to the spa arriving a few minutes prior to our scheduled 10:30am appointment. When we walked in we approached the front desk and advised we had an appointment. The young lady checked us in and then walked us to the spa area locker room. The locker room is small considering that it must be shared with all guests. Luckily everyone was friendly and the small space worked for us. My mom and I did have issue with the lockers we were assigned. They were not actually locking. The staff assisted us. She ended up fixing them! I guess she knows the tricks to get them to work. We started our day with the wellness package, specifically the oxygen bar. We were given robes and slippers. We had a few options for flavors for the oxygen and were also offered tea. This was a great start to our day. Following the oxygen we spent some time in the jacuzzi. We failed to bring swimsuits, but they had us covered! They have paper bikinis for you to use if you forget your swimwear! This was a huge win for us because we would not have been able to enjoy several areas of the wellness package without them. Our first service was our massage. The massage room is in another location. We were escorted by a staff to the private area. My mom and I agreed it was the BEST massage we have ever had! A huge shout out to my therapist, La Veronica! She did an amazing job!! We had a little down time prior to our meal being ready. We spent some additional time in the outside area. The koi pond is beautiful. The outside area is relaxing and should not be missed. The mela- oh my gosh! I am going to just say perfection! I had the salmon and my mom had the lamb chops! Both meals were tasty, but I have to admit my mom's lamb chops took first place! Everything was cooked to perfection! The ambiance of the dinning area also added to the experience. Our last stop was for our manicure and pedicure. This service is offered in the front area so we had to get dressed and walk back to the front. Mya was my nail tech. She was sweet and did a good job. We did not leave this place until like 6 or 7 pm. It was literally a day of pampering and relaxation. If you are looking to pamper yourself or want to gift someone else the gift of relaxation this is your spot! It is worth every penny and I plan to prioritize going again in 2024!! read more

I recently went here for a massage service. I would say that the massage itself was well done, but the overall spa experience was just okay. To start, I was called a few hours before my appointment, the same day of my appointment, and asked to change my appointment to another time because "the concierge messed up." The call made to me to reschedule also was not very professional. I was unimpressed by the spa space once I arrived, and my massage wasn't even the full hour I paid for, as it started 15 minutes late. I had to speak with a manger to be refunded for the 15 minutes of my massage that I was shorted. I have been to many spas all around Atlanta, the US, and the world and was unimpressed by this spa. I don't think I will be going back. I truly was looking forward to a much better, more relaxing experience. read more

They single handedly ruined my girlfriend's birthday weekend. The service was horrible, the staff were rude, the accommodations were terrible, the birthday cake which I paid $140 for was ruined by the time she got it. The cake was dry and tasteless. For the money that was paid this should never have happened. I would never recommend booking anything with these people. I found them online on my instagram feed last week and I've been trying to book a birthday package for my wife this weekend. I've called numerous times for the past 3 days with no answer. Yesterday someone finally answered the phone and I was placed on hold for 22 minutes until I couldn't take it anymore and hung up the phone. Place seems nice from the pictures I saw. I'll give it another try again today I am thinking she is probably understaffed or overwhelmed with calls. "Oh, she must be stuck doing another service." That's what the owner/manager of the Platinum Beauty Bar and Spa in Conyers, GA said of her technician after I'd waited 45 minutes for a brow wax service. I followed Platinum's onsite process to book the appointment and submit the required deposit three days earlier. I received confirmation and reminders of the booking with Shauna and, as suggested, I arrived 15 minutes early. Why wouldn't the owner/manager know that her technician was double-booked before I showed up or when I showed up or, at least, 10 minutes after I showed up? Why didn't the technician relay her situation to the owner/manager or receptionist when she realized that she would not be able to perform the service at the agreed time? Was the brow wax too lowly a service (compared to higher-priced spa treatments) to warrant respect? The facility is nice and the receptionist was empathetic (though she seemed new, did not remember checking me in when I got there, nor did she know where I was supposed to wait). Since I was not being served, I asked for a refund of my deposit. The receptionist was not authorized to do refunds and called for the owner/manager who at that point was out on an errand to fetch supplies but was near the facility. When she returned, she issued my refund with no apology and no offer to make her service impression right with me. What she communicated to me by her actions: I don't care that we failed to hold up our end of the agreement. I don't care that you wasted your time and effort coming here. I don't care if you never come back. I don't care if you post a negative review of my business. So, here we are. This service earned a zero-star review, but there was not an option to indicate such. read more

Poor customer service from management to resolve a service issue. Bought a spa package & during session was upsold on additional service that was not performed correctly. I emailed and called multiple times before any response. I was always professional and polite in my correspondence and even noted the good parts of other service. But apparently that was not good enough.The manager never apologized and basically defended the staff member's service delivery. The manager even called a specialist to speak on it (basically to refute my grievances) and the specialist stated the staff should have handle it differently. It's proves that the bottom line dollar is more important to them than customer service when there's any issue. If you do choose to go, avoid or at least be wary of facial add on upsell... you cannot easily hide or fix these type of issues. read more

Wellness Service businesses are in the customer service business. I think it's awful that this business's policy is a hard lined no refund on the very high deposit they require to book. I've booked services at posh establishments such as Woodhouse Spa and they require a lesser deposit, services are more reasonable and they allow for refunds. Hard lined policies like that with zero flexibility for unique or unforeseen situations are not very customer service centric, more like let me secure my bag centric. Guess that's what I get for booking a service from Instagram. #lessonlearned read more
