I'm assuming she's the manager that I speak of. But she yells at you "for what move?!!" Right as you enter the door. It just comes off harsh. She always seems in a rush to get your order. Which would make sense if there was a line forming behind me. But in both cases I've experienced this year, there has not been a line forming behind me. It usually is quite lonely. Last year (2025) I was able to take my kids and I, get a large popcorn, slushies, and my large soda along with our tickets for less than 50$. Now the same amount of treats and tics has gone almost up towards 70$... I know there is inflation involved. But for dingy smelling theater, it is not worth it... Location is its only upside. I will be spending my time and money better elsewhere from now on. read more

Went to buy my two teenagers tickets for Obsession. Oldhead tried to tell me I had to watch with them, so we walked out. Naturally, I looked up the cinema's R-rated movie policy, and was disappointed to find that it basically calls you a shit parent for trying to bring teenagers, who have been exposed to public school and the gremlins in it for YEARS at this point, to a horror movie. If I, the mother, don't care, don't try to tell me how to parent my children! I also noted that the only positive review this place has since being taken over is by said oldhead manager herself, Debra Martin P. We'll be taking our business to a higher-quality establishment from here on out. read more

Last night I took my son and daughter to watch Dogman here in town. We usually go to Regal but our experiences there have been terrible, staff is always rude and the place is always dirty it's disgusting. We went to the theater here in town and right away the staff was very nice and helpful. They got my kids excited for the movie. It's very clean, nicely decorated and fairly priced. The only downside we had we went down for a refill midway during our movie, and a manager and customer were yelling at each other VERY LOUDLY, that I could hear it down the hallway. It made me and my kids feel very uncomfortable so we just went back to our movie. I want this to be our go to theater but if stuff like this happens all the time, l'll just find another theater. I'm at the coast a lot and I see movies for the most part in San Luis Obispo. The theaters there are trashed, rips and tears in most of the seats and employees that can't seem to offer a smile. What a welcome improvement the Dinuba Platinum Theater offered. The theater was spotless and the employees were courteous! I was impressed and told the staff as I departed! The people who work here are friendly and I only come here out of convenience because I live in reedley, but in the summertime when the temperature outside is over 100. They don't turn on the AC. Now how the hell can I watch a movie sweating like a pig. I have to get up from my seat and ask if the AC is on. They always say there going to turn it on. This theater should be good. It's new, it has six screens, which is pretty darn good for a small town, and it shows good movies. And the popcorn is so good I'm giving it its own sentence. The problem with it is the same problem with everything else in Dinuba. The people. The majority of the people who patronize the theater couldn't shut up for five seconds in a row if you had a gun to their head (I don't recommend putting a gun to their head though as most of them also have guns tucked into the waist of whatever pair of pants they have hanging half way down their legs like they couldn't quite get them all the way up after they took a dump). They are also generally top notch parents who believe R-rated movies are great for children, toddlers and even infants. And their progeny will not surprisingly cry through the whole movie. Or run around the theater if they're old enough. The good news is you can generally avoid these individuals, or at least minimize your interaction with them, if you go to a movie which begins before noon. Apparently these aren't morning people. The people you can't avoid, regardless of what time you go, are the employees. The ticket booth is almost always abandoned, so you have to go inside and interrupt a pair of them talking, at which point they will begrudgingly trudge into the ticket booth, so you have to go back outside to buy your ticket and then come back in. Their popcorn is delicious but make sure you show up plenty early for your movie so you have time to wait for someone to acknowledge you are standing there (they're usually in the middle of a conversation which they'll need to finish before addressing you), at which point they take on the demeanor of someone who is clinically depressed and move at speeds so slow a snail would grow impatient. Hopefully once you finally get into your movie (be careful, they are often mislabeled), everything will be to your liking because if there's a problem with the movie like sound or picture, and there probably will be, nobody is going to fix it. They will say they will (once they finish their conversation), but that's probably just so you'll leave them alone so they can go back to talking. Plus you're dealing with the aforementioned patrons now, too. So if you're looking for the worst possible environment in which to see great movies and eat delicious popcorn, Dinuba's Platinum Theatres is for you. Also, don't forget to bring cash because that's all they accept and the ATM inside has the usual surcharge. read more

The only true issue I have with this small theater is the fact that they don't take credit/debit cards. Which stinks for people like me who don't carry cash. There's an ATM located inside of the theater, but the last time I checked, it charges you something like $3 to withdrawal cash. Movies are too expensive as it is... I am a regular at this theater since the theater open and I had bad experience before but today was the worst I am over 25 and been coming to this theater since it started and know most of the employees, the one time I forget my ID they tell me they can't sell me tickets because I don't have a ID on me I ask to speak to the manager because I knew her when I use to work there back in 2014. The manager came out and right away started giving me attitude I was expecting her to be like oh yeah he worked for us before it's fine, I wasn't being rude the whole time during the conversation with the receptionist. so I don't know why the manager came out with such attitude anyways this is going to be the last time I go to this theater read more

1/5 stars which I could give it a zero. Right off the bat the customer service was straight up rude. An older man in the concession stand was giving everyone in line an unpleasant attitude and was very rude. Later as the movie ended and no one was no longer leaving, we stood near the exit to see the credit scene when the what looked like a hispanic young man usher told us very rudely "Take a seat or leave!" There was no one no longer leaving so we were in no one's way. Later as we were finishing watching the credit scene, one of my companions wanted to take a selfie of the somewhat enjoyable moment we were having, when all of the sudden the same Hispanic guy and a other younger usher with a dyed hair color went up to his ear, (which is to close for comfort) and yelled "You need to leave. NOW!" I was befuddled with what had just transcribed in front of my eyes. Never in my 45 years of life had I experienced such horrendous costumer service. I hope management would see this and straighten up their employees because this is a theater that I've been coming too my whole life. It would be a disappointment to no longer be able to see my movies here due to rude staff. read more

Came here and watched Star Wars with a friend on a Sunday late evening. $11 for a movie ticket is a lot cheaper than the nearby theaters. The customer service is great and the theater is well maintained. The seats are comfortable and the food are like your typical theater. read more

i was very disturbed by the way i was treated. not only was i called a liar but also told i had to leave because i stood up for myself. it was a waste of my money not only for the ticket but for the gas. the workers were not cooperating to help me figure out the problem which was basically them giving me the wrong ticket. they weee distracted by a puzzle and a cat inside the ticket booth. i'm not lying. read more

Only came here because of the convenience. Stood at ticket booth for about 10 minutes before someone came and helped. There was two groups of people behind me as well. The guy who took my ticket seemed friendly enough but the guy at the concession stand looked like he was having a terrible time. I was, it looked like, the first customer but he looked like he had just finished two shifts in a row. Once they turned on the screen it was SO loud the it was distorting the talking. I came to the movies super early with the dilemma of being dropped off at an abusrded time because my boyfriend had class. I had such a had choice of movies and the staff were super polite trying to help me out with the time gap. I asked the manager if I could see the ending half first because there was no point of sitting around all day, he agreed which was so sweet. I saw the first ending half and waited with for a little bit for the beginning. IT WORKED out because of the staff! I would come back again. read more

The place itself is OK. It does look like it needs some remodeling. The seats seem outdated and uncomfortable. The floors inside the rooms are ALWAYS sticky. The popcorn is mediocre. Salty and their butter doesn't taste that great. Now what made me want to review them was their customer service! I have been here twice in the last weeks and have received unacceptable customer service. I was in line to get some popcorn and drinks. Some young guy in glasses attended me but had a very unwelcoming demeanor. Anyways he tells me a total I hand him my card and he swipes it and gives it back. Then immediately says what can I get you to the person behind me! Didn't even wait for me to move, but what bugged me the most was that he didn't say one single thing to me!! so I asked him if that was it? He just said yes with an awful attitude and moved on. No receipt no "thank you enjoy the movie"...NOTHING!!! And it's not just that guy, everybody here has a bad attitude. Like if they're working for fee. I just hope this place takes into consideration who they're hiring to attend they're paying customers! This place is okay. Small, relatively clean. It's expensive, like most theaters and only accepts cash. There's an atm inside with a 2.50 surcharge. My major complaint is that the inside of the theaters are freezing. Bring a sweater. read more

Negative 1 star is more like their rating!! I arrived an hour early for an opening night show. Was told by staff that we could just wait in the lobby for the movie to start. After 30 min of waiting the manager said we needed to go outside and get in the back of the line that had formed!!! She refused to put us in the front if the line or just let us stay where we were. an amazing stadium theater in our own backyard. concessions are reasonably priced the staff is super nice and not afraid to take your coupons. free boosters for the lil ones its sooo clean. its very cold so i bring a blanket and snuggle up in their rockerback comfy chairs. matinee bargin prices are so nice. its hardley ever crowded and if it is for a premiere i think im old enough to know to get in line early. tightwad tuesdays are very cool! read more
