I love coming to Maya because the seats are more comfortable and they have a pretty good layout. Today I'm rating it 3 today because the handicapped bathroom reeked of urine and was unacceptabley dirty. Like filthy dirty. Also, the soap was out and the paper towel dispenser is not accessible in wheel chair. Theater 10's projector was very dark so some scenes in our movie were nearly unwatchable. Sound mix was great though! Nothing so loud that it was painful, even in a movie with lots of explosions. I hope in the future there will be showings of movies with closed captioning on the movie screen that aren't just foreign language films. read more

This place is pretty quiet during day. And who am I kidding, I loved that. But they should have info/signage about how to check in at kiosks. I haven't been to the theaters in years and we went to take my daughter to Toy Story 5-great film, go see it- and we pre purchased our tickets, and I didn't know what to do when we got there. No ticket taker, but there was a lady on the phone at customer service, so we stopped and waited. She was giving lots of info on the phone but hardly acknowledged us. Finally she said "I'll be right with you." Then when she was off and I told her we just need to scan the code, she was like, "ohh!! Of course!!" Then said that we could have used the kiosks way on the other side behind the ticket purchase are. There's just no clear path for check in options and if they are going to pay someone to stand there, put up a sign please! The concession stand was stocked and no line. $38 for a large popcorn and 2 large sodas. Damn. But that's life right? Popcorn was fresh, free extra plates and cups, free butter and jalapeños. And soda was the large pick your flavor Coke machines. Our day tickets were $10, plus a $2 fee per ticket. *rolls eyes* but could I have purchased them at the theater without a convenience fee, I'm still not sure. They have lots of bathrooms. Staff is willing to help you find your seats and move others if they are not abiding to the seat rules (you pay for a seat and sit where you paid), when you can find staff. The seats are weird and were a bit hard for my 3 year old to sit in. But the cup holders in between go up, so I was able to put that up and hold my leg against her chair to keep it from folding up on her. I'm griping more about how much theaters have changed than Maya itself. All the staff we interacted with were nice enough and the place was clean, restrooms stocked. Bonus it's close to home. I haven't been to Maya in a long time but they were the only ones still playing Young Washington. Which was an amazing movie, by the way. Movie started at 4 and when we walked up I noticed a sign that said "outside drinks allowed". I have never seen a theater do that before so it made me wonder. I guess you have to go to the information to buy tickets. That made me wonder as well. I thought I saw a few kiosks but I don't think they were in order. Well we got our tickets and went to get a soda. $8.50 for a soda and it came with a warning! "There's may not be any Coke Zero over there do just keep trying for whatever soda is available" what in the world?! I just paid $8.50 for a drink and I may not be able to get the one I want ? As I walk to the drink machine I noticed the bottom of the machine was very dirty. Sticky, dusty, trash, water and popcorn underneath. I was grossed out. But they had Coke Zero! When we got into the theater I noticed the seats were very old and cracked. Oh man, I'm so sorry to see Maya being run into the ground. This place is in desperate need of some TLC! read more

We checked online and saw that there were many seats available, so we decided to buy our tickets at the theater. Love that there is a senior discount and even a senior discount day. Bought tickets for all and headed to get popcorn and a drink. We always get a large popcorn and drink combo and complimentary containers for the kiddos to put popcorn in, they don't eat much. You get one free popcorn refill with the price. That works just fine. Cup holders available and comfortable seating. We enjoy coming here to watch movies and then going to Mad Duck after to eat. read more

So yesterday was the open day for The Roses .Me and my friend went there at 7.00 pm and bought the tickets.We went early and waited for the show to start but 10 minutes went by and no movie on yet then one of the movie viewer decide to get up and tell them the movie wasn't on so they repond And they said they would start soon. We realize that another 10 minutes had gone by again and a total of 20 minutes. We went to see Spider-Man Brand New Day today and they don't allow to pay with cash anymore for tickets and concessions and they have us pay at a kiosk machine that gives us like a debit card to put your cash in and it's quite of a hassle to do so. So lame. read more

Horrible....Of 6 soda machines two (2) were non-operational and the other four (4) did not dispense ice. I was told there was no other alternative for ice. In the mens restroom they had 6 urinals and four were covered up with an 'out of order tag' I did notice the entire place was filthy not just popcorn on the floor which I can understand but so much straw wrappers and napkins on the floor, counters were sticky and unkept with no one in sight cleaning. Nice theatre. We parked in the back and walked around to the front entrance. There's also an alley looking sidewalk where you can take a shortcut to the entrance. Big. Clean. Newer. Not busy when we went to see MI The Reckoning. We went on a Wednesday evening and got a senior discount. (Yes, there ARE some perks when you get older!). If you go late to watch a movie it's best because you basically have the whole place to yourself. We watched the movie with Daniel O'Day, Anemone . Hard to grasp the drama behind this movie. Some weird stuff happens that almost gives it a Sci-Fi feel to it but it just doesn't fit the narrative. I do t recommend watching it. I like Daniel O'Day but this definitely is not a crowning achievement as a writer and director. The Maya Theatre is really nice . HUGE disappointment. Took my kids to the movies on a Friday evening, total mess. You'd think a theater would prepare for the weekend by cleaning and whatnot. The bathrooms - FILTHY (men and women), the popcorn and other foods tasted old, no ice in the soda machine and the theater itself was disgusting. There was cheese sauce all over one of our reserved seats, trash all over the floor...leather on the seats and armrests was cracked and exposed the filling like the theater was 40 years old....luckily no one was next to us so we sat in different seats. I was very close to asking for my money back. Couldn't even enjoy the movie because I felt disgusted. Do better Maya. read more

Unsanitary experience. Sadly, management is letting this place go! I kept giving this theater a chance to be a repeat customer, but after my last visit I am done. The theatres areas are so dirty. Chairs are broken. Arm chairs and seats are grimy. The soda fountain is disgusting, soda spills are not properly cleaned, the fountain looks like it's never been wiped, the ice rarely works. The bathroom had two broken sinks and taped off stalls. It's really too bad this theatre is not being kept up. read more

This is my second time at the theater and I forgot how big the lobby area is with the video games, lounging area, and all the upcoming movie posters. Coke products provided & they have waters and assorted ice teas in a cooler. The popcorn is made with Coconut oil & they advertise how healthy the popcorn is being cooked in that oil. i got a medium poocorn, some redvines, an ice cream bar, a tea. All came to about $30. my movie ticket was only $7.50 and that is with a dollar donation. Restrooms: plenty with air dryers, UV light germ-fighting hand dryers and overall pretty clean for a Tuesday. Parking: Limited since there are many other shops that utilize the parking too. i drove over an hour to see this movie since it is only showing in Fresno. I went to see Demi Moore's new movie The Substance in #5 theater. The seat I had was pretty worn with worn out springs. Went to Maya Cinemas on a Tuesday evening to watch Weapons, and tickets were only $5.50 per person! The staff was very friendly, and the theater was much larger than I expected, with immersive audio and a big screen. The only downside was the seating. While they're leather, many are worn with cracks and rips, which was a bit uncomfortable since I was wearing shorts. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be coming back to catch more new releases! read more

Love coming here. They have decent prices if you know which days to come. The staff is friendly. Love the location too as it's a short walking distance to great restaurants. The theatre itself though needs new seats. Most all of the vinyl seats are cracked so it's pretty hard to get comfortable. Also not very clean. The floors or the chairs or the restrooms. So I am just not one that needs to have the coolest/newest stuff when I am the theaters, I am simple. We normally come here cause it is close to home and if you time it right not super busy. Plus their price of tickets to their family day prices , you can't beat it. The chairs are nice to me and feel comfortable. We decided to get some popcorn and of course this is expensive everywhere, so we tried to pick the best deal that all four of my group would be good with. It's been a couple of years since I've been to the Maya so I took my son to see Mission Impossible the other day since it was the only theater showing it. The young girl helping us at the counter was less than pleasant. It was clear she wasn't happy to be there and I felt as if we were bothering her by ordering popcorn, her face said it all. I love going to the movie theaters, but this one is not particularly comfortable. I do like the restaurants nearby and the grassy area out front. The theater however is lacking. The seats are often so ripped up it cuts your legs. Better to wear pants. The sinks in the bathroom and soap dispenser are a great idea but are regularly broken. read more

It's been a long while since my husband and I have gone to the theaters. With covid happening then having a baby there just wasn't a right time. Friday night we decided to give it a go. Thankfully this theater has a care /cry room. We wanted to see Top Gun but we're told that they didn't offer a room for that movie so we ended up seeing Jurassic World. From my understanding you have to go to guest services and make reservations for the care/cry room. It's a first come first served basis so you'd have to go early to purchase tickets. My husband originally bought our tickets an hour before the showing. I saw that they charged a child ticket for my 7month old baby so just before we went to watch we went back to guest services and got a refund. Just before we went to our room we ordered dibs, popcorn and drinks. The lady at the concession stand was nice. They have a self serve drink station and butter/ condiments area. Definitely needed some tidying up. When you reserve a care room they give you a pass that you have to present to one of the employees. That employee will then assist you to the elevator and take you to the care/cry room. It almost felt like some VIP status getting assisted to our room. This was our first time using a care/cry room so we had no clue what to expect. It's a room in the back with a big window, 5 seats and the room is equipped with speakers. The employee who took us there told us we can request to modify the room temp or speaker sounds if we'd like BUT we would have to look for him. And I'm thinking that was a bit absurd, that means we would miss parts of the movie walking around the theater looking for this guy just to get something adjusted... they definitely need to do some upgrades. Perhaps some call button system or even a self serve room temp/ audio adjusting system. The cry/care room was a good size, 5 seats and more empty space behind the seats. A few chairs were broken and the leather seats needed reupholstering. Also it wasn't the cleanest, there was gummy candy stuck to the seats and the the windows didn't seem like they cleaned at all after it was previously used. I do love the fact that the restroom was conveniently next door to our room. Overall I love the idea, it's a nice place for family and children to enjoy the movie without having to disturb others. But it could definitely could use some upgrades, maintenance and cleaning. read more

I accidentally bought tickets here on fandango but it was ok because I never been here. It was hard to find it at first but eventually found the theater. It's in a weird spot the way the building is faced. The parking is in the back. Anyway, walking in, we were greeted right away. They had many food options. I had popcorn and it was good. The soda machine was low on ice and it was a very messy area. A bunch of employees but no-one cleans?! The theater is big but the seats are not comfy at all. They need a total upgrade!! The people behind us kept hitting my chair with their feet and the seats made noise. I will not be coming back here. Please upgrade your seats to a more comfier chair. We celebrated my son's 9th birthday at Maya Cinema by inviting his entire class to come watch Super Mario Bros together in a private theater and then after the movie we used their party room for cake & presents! Great staff and selection of films. However, I've seen two films now where the screen quality has negatively affected my enjoyment. Wicked was incredibly blurry, so I opted to see it again somewhere else. Both blurry-screen experiences were in the same auditorium, so I can't speak for all of the screens. They have a drink fountain and arcade games also they have a birthday party room for birthdays. They do student discounts and the cheapest day to go watch a movie is Tuesday. Plus they do senior discounts. The theater does get cold, I went to watch Avatar The way of the water 3D with my dad and I was shivering even with a jacket on. Their service is nice. read more

I am sooooo happy the movies are back! There's not really a service thing happening when you go to the movies so my rating is not heavily based on that. But cleanliness is the biggest factor of this 5 star rating. The place was immaculate...outside , the lobby, the theatre & the bathrooms. Yes y'all the bathrooms are super clean. Clearly attention to detail in the cleanliness department is high priority to Maya Cinemas. The seating and movie experience wasn't lacking either. The chairs are comfy and the sound quality is really good y'all. Recommendation: get out of the house and go to Maya Cinemas for a really good movie experience. This was our first visit to this theater. We went to an early show at 10:05am. Our tickets were only $5.50 each for adults and children. Staff are really nice and very friendly and this theater is very clean. We got to select our seats and we loved that there were plenty of leg room. It's really annoying when there's not enough leg room and people squeeze thru the aisles stepping on my shoes... The popcorn was yummy and very fresh. It didn't taste like last nights leftovers. They have a self service area for buttering up your popcorn. I also liked the Valentina and lemon juice for my popcorn. If you sign up for their rewards program (free) you will receive a free medium popcorn. It's automatically connected to your phone number. You can sign up with Guest Services or online. When we walked towards our theater room, we saw a separate room for a party. Which I will keep in mind for the next time we host a Birthday party. We definitely recommend this theater and there's plenty of good restaurants and dessert shops around the area. We will definitely be back! read more

Decent prices on matinees, plenty of seating, fresh popcorn, cry rooms for people with young little ones, AND soda machines with refills! I never order anything other than popcorn and soda..so this review doesn't take any other concession options into consideration. What more do you want? Okay so the bathrooms are a bit crammed, and the soap dispensers are sometimes in need of a refill, but are otherwise clean. In short, I love this theater. Every time I go here (which isn't often since I am a parent of small kids), I worry that I won't find good parking (my only concern about this location)...but surprise--I've never had a problem. If you are looking for a spot to catch a movie...a place to get out of the house, hang out, or people watch, this is a great option. BUT the moment I walked into theater 6... disappointment went across my face. It was dirty, leftover popcorn on the floor, the seats not comfortable and the row I was in and the rows behind and in front were all cracked leather - how uncomfortable in shorts. DO NOT GET SEATS 5&6 in row H- seat 6 is broken and you're low riding on the ground. I'll definitely not be back. I guess that explains the low price and as the saying goes... you get what you pay for. read more
