Called Matt to repair 3 stem valves and change the knobs. He quoted me $325. The next day 30 mins before the job he said it was going to be an extra $200 because he didn't realize the parts went up in price, so $525 total ($280 for labor and $245 for parts). Then after 30 mins of work I received a picture that showed a gap in between the fixture and the wall and mismatched knobs which he supposedly bought? I had to tell him to go back and fix the errors so he sealed it up and gave me a matching knob. However, upon closer inspection I noticed the knob to be rusted so I guess he just put the old one back on? Unclear what parts he charged me for because he never provided an itemized receipt. Overall deeply unsatisfied with the sloppy and unprofessional work. Totally overpaid for this job. Do not recommend. read more

He filed for The warranty. He ordered a new part. He even went further and brought out an entire new water heater because parts were taken taking so long. So either he was going to take the part out of the new heater or install the new heater. He ended up installing an entire new heater. I didn't have to do or pay a thing. This company is a one-man company. This man in his van sped 30mph over the speed limit in a residential area, laid on his horn when I yielded in a yield intersection, then proceeded to cuss me out, flip me off, and drive consistently parallel to me, staring and yelling at me the whole time. I'm a young woman alone with a baby in the backseat, having a grown man purposefully intimidate me in my car, from his company vehicle. I honestly thought he would follow me home and I almost called the police. I ended up pulling over to get away from him, and then witnessed him speed off, running a red light, almost T-boning an innocent car in the process. This man, "Matt", has extreme anger issues and puts EVERYONE'S life on the line on the road. If he isn't mentally capable to drive, I would NOT trust him in my home. I don't trust companies that tailgates people. Getting on HWY 50 EB from Sunrise Blvd I noticed this vehicle like three feet from my rear bumper. Then I noticed that even before I tried to merge onto 50 from the onramp this vehicle tries to take my lane as I'm trying to get on the freeway. Of course I flip the Birdy and then this person slows down to give certain gestures and mouth something then took off really fast. Driving in Folsom today, a truck whipped out of a parking lot near a wide intersection, cutting through 4 lanes of traffic and cut me off so hard, I had to lock up my brakes and make them squeal to avoid hitting them in the lane I was traveling in and I had the legal right of way. I can only think of a couple of times in my long life this has happened and was such a close call. I called the number on the truck, because I figured a company would want to know their employees drive so reckless, and the guy driving picks up the phone. I tell him exactly what I think of his driving in colorful language, and he says he just an employee, and instead of apologizing, he says flippantly: "Has no one ever cut you off before?" admitting guilt. Yet, the phone call went to him. So I am writing this review for a couple of reasons. First, as a former business owner, I know the driver is a liability to any legitimate business owner. If the phone number is routed to whomever is on duty and truly not the owner, I hope the owner sees this review, and considers either reprimanding this employee, or removing them, since they drive so irresponsible in a company truck with the owner's business name and risk increasing insurance costs and a law suit. Second, If it WAS the owner who picked up the phone, and he also lied when he said he was an "employee", in addition to his completely irresponsible and reckless driving, then he is even less responsible, and I would question his professionalism in his daily work and regard for your property. I see someone else has left a review for this person's road rage driving habits, so now there is an established pattern for when he does cause property damage or bodily harm. There are lots of plumbers, find someone who respects people, the law, and the safety and property of others. read more

Paid Matt over $5,000 for a new water heater in July 2018. Still not working properly, carbon monoxide vent is venting inside attic! He broke the roof vent, then made another pipe to vent inside attic. Pipes knock and bang still. Left all old parts/debris in attic and never cleaned up. Have been calling and texting him repeatedly and he just moves on to the next job. In the process of filing a contractor's board complaint. No permit, no inspections, unsafe job done and won't keeps making excuses. Sloppy work, no care, no permits. CSLB will get it fixed for me. read more

I cannot tell you the headache I probably caused for Matt. And even after it all, I'm pretty sure he undercharged me. We had just purchased a new house, and the water heater began to drip from the relief valve; indicative that the water heater has passed it's prime. Matt quoted me $1300 for the replacement water heater and install. Easy enough. I decided to tack on the garbage disposal and kitchen facet replacement. How much does that cost, Matt? "Those are easy enough. Let's just keep it at the $1300." What I failed to tell Matt was, my existing water heater was propane fueled. So, when Matt showed up with an electric one, it presented some unexpected obstacles. Long story short is, he had managed to reorganize his day around me. He installed the electric water heater he had brought for another customer, drove down into Sacramento to pick up a propane water heater for me, installed it, and was still done before the day's end. Furthermore, during the installation, he wound up having to replace the main valve to the water heater, since it was faulty and looked overly calcified. I asked him how much more he wanted for his troubles. "You already paid me what you owe." Matt didn't even bump is rate after the problems I had created. I hope to never have another problem again (I know that's highly unlikely), but I'll be sure to call Matt back if I do. read more
