On the Friday they called, a contractor had pushed a job out and they offered to start the following Tuesday (just over 1 week from the show). We immediately agreed (we're retired and had nothing going on that week). On the Monday morning they had a residential job postponed at the last minute by the homeowner so we said great, come on down!! I moved the motorhome and they did all the prep (sod and old curb removal, leveling, forms, crushed rock base, etc. on Monday - and it's a really weird shape! Tuesday they poured and stamped the concrete including placing the support tube for our new umbrella. Wednesday morning they finished it - stained and sealed!! They are not satisfied by the "joints" between the "flagstones" produced by the stamps and grind them all out by hand to define them better. Could hardly believe it!! They really take pride in their work. Absolutely fabulous job!! Great guys, all of them. Friendly, enthusiastic and very professional. They show up promptly when they say they will. The patio is gorgeous. He painstakingly measured it afterwards to calculate the actual square footage to charge us only for the actual amount (weird shape to quote on like I said). Their price is was very reasonable and per sq ft all inclusive. These guys are THE best. They even fitted in a small ad hoc job widening the driveway for our neighbor while they were here. We are awaiting the final bill so we can pay them as promptly as they did our job. Next year we plan to have them back to refinish our larger existing patio to match. My wife liked that they cleaned the premises following each work day. We also liked that they were friendly and explained why and what they did to the roof. They installed extra ventilation holes when they didnt have to. They also checked the forecast and made sure everything was covered up. Overall I would recommend these guys to anyone. A few years ago, I had Palmers do a 50-year roof on my home. Great material, good bid, but some…read moreinstallation issues - the jibber-jabber crew paid more attention to the mariachi noise coming out of their boom box than the quality of their work. The ridge vent, which was not needed, was cut free-hand rather than striking a line to follow, consequently the opening was cut too wide in places, which meant the staples on some of the capping pieces didn't have anything but air to go into and so some didn't form to the roofline. On the bright side, when I called Palmers about this, it was immediately addressed with adhesive between the caps, but this shouldn't have been necessary, and the staples are still in nothing but air. Also, the crew removed some facia pieces and didn't replace them - I did. So, from my experience, I would say that Palmers is a good contractor but should train their crews better - just because something is out of sight doesn't mean it's not important to do a good and correct job.

He promised to start with the floor but left one guy all day who tiled the wall instead -- completely wrong. The waterproofing was skipped, and the shower floor had to be dug up and redone. Worse, this person wasn't even on Edgar's regular crew -- he just found someone to fill in because he didn't have enough help. Edgar never checked the work and didn't realize the guy even brought his girlfriend along to "keep him company." The job was sloppy, unorganized, and ended up costing me more time and money.
