Cardenas All Around Construction & Remodel - Complete bathroom remodel

Cardenas All Around Construction & Remodel

We had an extensive remodel at our retirement home and Mike and his crew did a fantastic job. We…read moreentrusted him with all of it. Mike was always available to talk about our project and gave me the truth about what the repairs and upgrades would cost, as well as his professional opinion about color schemes. He was easy to work with, very knowledgeable, and courteous. We had several pieces of additional work, and Mike and crew integrated this additional work scope into the original work very well. I would highly recommend them for future work. Ken and Donna G. Prosser, WA

We highly recommend Cardenas All Around Construction & Remodel. We had been trying to find a…read morecontractor to fix our bathroom floor since last October 2020, when we noticed it was getting bouncy. We had four contractors come out to our home and check it out. We contacted two large companies, Zion in Pasco, and Clean Image Restoration, in Kennewick. Both said that the 5/8 press board that the previous contractor, [2015- 1st Choice Restoration] used was not meant for counter tops and NOT sub-flooring! Both of these businesses said they would send us a written estimate for our insurance company. They never have. Zion sent someone out twice, but never did send us an estimate. We dealt with a man there named Urbie. Our last text was terse on my end and he finally answered, saying he'd been sick. Apparently he couldn't ask anyone else to take over for him. I asked if he was so sick he couldn't speak or send a text? He didn't respond. I called our insurance agent to see if they knew of anyone else? He said they had used Clean Image Restoration, Kennewick, WA before, so we called them [contact was Doug]. Same results as with Zion. On December 14, after nocturnal trip to the bathroom, I fell through the floor. Bright and early the next day, we contacted Doug at Clean Image with this info and still no responses to this day. Finally, we were led to a man named Michael Cardenas. He came out right away [Feb.12, 2021] and looked the job over. He phoned the next day and told us how much his estimate was. He said he had a couple of jobs to finish, but would start our job on February 22nd. He estimated it would take a week to finish. He e-mailed a contract promptly, we looked it over and accepted it. Mike was here at 8am, on the 22nd and everyday thereafter, except for one, when he needed to pick up some supplies.. When we called, or texted him, he responded in a very timely manner. It really sent a message to us that, even though our job was small by comparison to other things he has done, our project was just as important to him. I'm elated to say that they finished our job on February 26th and our floor looks great! He and his assistant even put back our washer and dryer, though we hadn't contracted with him to do that. After the nightmare we've had with contractors' [going back to the 2015 nightmare that was 1st Choice Restoration in Kennewick] we were hunkering down for another round of headaches. But boy, were we ever pleasantly surprised! As I said before, we highly recommend Cardenas All Around Construction & Remodel them for their excellent communication skills, dependability, and first-rate repair and remodel skillset.

Glad I didn't get the job. No wonder they need someone so bad. O'Brien. Remember we have internet now to tell the public what kind of people you are. Oh and what they didn't like was that I wouldn't fill out the application prior to making sure they wanted an interview based on my resume. l just in case you want their side. It is easy to be nice when everyone is watching but the secretary was extremely unprofessional and when I email to make sure the right person seen my resume she emailed and threatened me. So this is what professionalism is? I think you need to look up that word again and be nice to all prospective customers and employees. Me saying "call me if you want a interview me" instead of filling out the application is not being unprofessional. You threatening to call the police for trespassing after I was there one time is being unprofessional. Everyone can see what you wrote me. It's called email etiquette I learned that at companies that make more in one hour than you make in a year.

This involved cutting and installing the roof sheeting, 5 joists and a metal roof with materials included in the kit. I had another prospect but that contractor was delaying my quote even though he'd assured me he could do the job within a couple of weeks. After waiting a week, I called Josh and he came right over, sent me the quote that evening and did the work the next week. It ended up being a challenge as the kit was short on materials requiring the purchase two pieces of cedar sheeting and time consuming thoughtful cuts to use the provided material with very little waste. Another challenge was that our electrical contractor didn't consider the joist placement when installing the conduit so 2 or 3 of the joists needed to be cut to fit over the conduit. His two employees were wonderful! They even honored my request to use the "pretty ones" on the exposed portions. They were respectful men who worked well together, chatting cheerfully without anger or profanity, and took pride in their workmanship. One would assume that is the norm, but experience has shown me that is not the case. I was very pleased with the outcome. I offered to reimburse the cost of the extra sheeting and Josh declined. I will definitely use Radiant Builders for any future needs. This work was done in April. I'm way slow posting my review.
