I showed up and tech was very condescending, argumentative, and apparently looking for a conflict. His paperwork Cleary stated what he needed to do. When I purchased it the oven came with a 10 year warranty so I called my insurance company and the dispatched PLATINUM APPLIANCE SERVICE AND REPAIR to fix it. My Frigidaire Upright Freezer was frosting up. We called Frigidaire and they made an appointment with Platinum Appliance Service in Pomona, CA. The repairman came out over 2 weeks ago. He said he didn't have the part and would call us that evening to let us know if they had it at the store/shop. We never heard from him and that was over 2 1/2 weeks. I've called and left numerous messages for the to call me and let me know the status. No one has bothered to call. I've tried to get an address for this company and there is no listing. The only phone number I was able to obtain was the 1-888-805-7575. If I could, I would give them a minus zero (-0) rating. Do not use Platinum Appliance Service. read more

Platinum is the company Old Republic referred me to for a washer repair. I started contacting on Thursday June 17, 2022. Had a call on my cell phone on Monday, June 20. I was unable to answer. They did not leave a message. I have called 5 times since then. Never able to speak to anyone. Have to leave message. I have to wonder how they maintain good customer service when they never have to answer a phone call directly. I can understand if there is a staff shortage but to not even make a call to let me know what they can do is not acceptable. Perhaps Old Republic should change out this contractor or maybe Old Republic doesn't care. The less claims they process the more money they make. There are a number of other Home Warranty Companies that would probably like my business. This isn't the first time I have had difficulty getting service through Old Republic. read more

Terrible customer service, technician showed up without the part required to fix my dishwasher, and waited 2 months for him to show up at my door to tell me he didn't have it. Whirlpool dishwasher broke, still under warranty, called whirlpool and they sent these guys out. First technician tells me he needs 2 part but one is on back order due to the pandemic. I understand as you know global pandemic. He tells me they will reach out to me when the part is in stock. 2 months go by of me calling once a week to get an update and nothing happens. I finally have enough and call Whirlpool, guess what the have the 1 part Platinum was waiting on. They send it to me directly because it will be faster. Great news, I call Platinum to get an appointment scheduled but the earliest they can do is in 1 week. Fine I have waited this long. Technician shows up at my house and asks if I have the part I say yes than asks if I have both? I do not, we were only supposed to be waiting on one. The part that was in stock is not in stock anymore. Why would the technician show up at my house without the required parts? is the first of many questions I have. They are looking for the part that is needed and it is on back order. They tell me I have to wait and they will give me a call when it is in stock. I ask to speak to a manager and the rep tells me she is unable to do that, but he should get back to me 2 days. I get call from Chuck and he tells me their warehouse lost it and they have to reorder. I call Whirlpool and they are shipping me a part and it should be here in 2 days. Do not use this service if you can avoid it. Long wait times when calling in and no communication equals poor customer service. read more

Luis was extremely helpful. I was able to schedule an appointment for him to come out to take a look at my fridge on very short notice. He was flexible with my work schedule when it came to the appointment. He inspected our fridge and gave us a quote. Unfortunately our fridge was not worth repairing and he was very honest about that, i appreciate him being honest as opposed to charging me to "fix" it knowing the truth. Worst customer service ever, worst experience ever. Literally two of the their workers one with the name Alex has the worse attitude I've ever seen. They came to our house 3 times and all 3 times they explained that our ac was leaking. I asked how long it will take they answer with i don't know ask our supervisor. So you're really sayinf I need to be put on hold everytime I call they come to see what they're doing to my ac. Like do the technicians not know what they're doing? Not only that even when they were leaving they didn't explain to us anything and just said they had to come again. I wanna know why it takes them more than 3 times to come fix an ac and over a month to fix it. I talked to the supervisor and all he was able to say was "our technicians are not rude it's cuz they're busy". With this attitude I doubt they'd be busy. Not only we're they rude the had the audacity to argue with me outside my neighborhood and drove off when I wasn't even finished talking to them. Definitely do not recommend. A technician first arrived at our home on 1 Jun, after waiting a week for the appointment. He arrived diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes then stated the dreaded words...you have to wait for the parts. We waited another two weeks-this means we were without the use of our refrigerator the entire time. They would not have arrived unless I complained often. You see, they have this idiotic rule that they must only receive parts from one distributor....who of course didn't have the part. I did my own checking and a place called the Parts Warehouse has 29 of the required part in stock and prepared to ship overnight at no additional cost. When Platinum heard this they miraculously found one from their Whirlpool rep. Oh boy, I was finally on the schedule for the repair...after 3 weeks. The tech arrived, installed the part and did not fully test all the functions. We discovered shortly after he left that the water and ice functions we no longer working...NO ICE NO WATER, which was functioning before the repair. Sure, the refrigerator was finally cooling. The call-in center then suggested it would be another week to get a technician out to see what this problem was. Hey, the guy didn't fix it right the first time, now I'm asked to wait another week. When requesting to speak to a supervisor this time...never heard from him. Amazingly, the tech somehow found an opening in his schedule to trouble shoot within 3 days from the failed replacement. Yep you guessed it, the part he replaced from their required distribution and Whirlpool rep was bad. No timetable is given as to when the part will arrive...which means I am still out the full functionality of a $4000 Kitchen Aid refrigerator. I should add, of the 4 appliances with the Kitchen Aid Premier-Designer tag we bought as a package...in the 2 years we've owned them -3 of the 4 have required repairs. Heck our hood fan came out of the box broken...and had to have Platinum repair (that only took 2 weeks to repair) as the so-called Whirlpool designated repair team. I'm sure Whirlpool in its infinite wisdom is still offering no parts which are needed, and of course they can't call Parts Warehouse for a replacement for some ridiculous reason, who by the way still has dozens. If I would have called anyone else, I'm sure this would have been rectified... heed this warning and call anyone else to repair your appliances. I sure am next time! read more
