I decided to call the professionals and chose to look local for a repair. The service men came out and didn't really look at anything just said a part needed to be replaced. I went downstairs to shut the water off. They replaced it and it still didn't work. They didn't really know what else to do. I showed them there were other pumps in the door and they said they would need to order that one and would come back out. I was asked to pay the service charge ($140). They came out with the other part and the same thing happened. So they said they couldn't fix it. I was surprised since they do repairs and all they did was try replacing pumps and didn't do anything else. I, who know nothing about appliances, did more than them. The worst part isn't even them not fixing it and still charging me to come out, but they also ruin my floor. When they changed the part they must not have tightened it enough and water leaked out. It was behind the refrigerator so I didn't notice the drip until it caused the floor on the side of it to warp. So, now I still have no water being dispensed, I'm out $140, and boards in my floor ruined. :(

I have a whirlpool refrigerator with in door ice and water dispensers. Recently the ice maker…read morestopped making ice, so i called A Action Appliance Repair. They sent out a repairman a couple days later, he spent about a half hour or so diagnosing the problem and told me the door needed to be replaced. The estimate was 1500.00 for the door plus tax, shipping and installation. I paid less than 1300.00 for the refrigerator itself so I declined the repairs but still had to pay 140.00 for the service call. A day or so later I decided to look into it myself and found some videos online to diagnose the problem. Turns out the icemaker needed replacement, I ordered a new one and installed it myself, 90.00 parts and a little bit of my time and my fridge is making ice. An update to this review: after posting the manager of A Action reached out to me and apologized for the misdiagnosis of my fridge and offered a refund for the service call. He was friendly and wanted to make things right, he also made me aware that they have had a lot of problems with my model and usually quote it for door replacement and mentioned a possible class action lawsuit against whirlpool for a poor design.

Not long after the repair, the stovetop began sparking in the exact same area where they had worked, so we had to call them back. The technician who came out was very professional and even acknowledged that the original repair had caused the new issue. He advised us to contact the office regarding the charges. Unfortunately, despite this, we were still required to pay another $226 service fee to fix a problem that resulted from the initial repair. The technicians themselves were friendly, professional, and courteous. However, our experience with management was disappointing. They were condescending and unwilling to take responsibility for the failed repair. Because of how this situation was handled, we will not be using this company again.
