The management and the rest of the Colosseum staff have always been incredibly nice to my friends and I. The guy checking ID's is super nice. My friends and I went here two nights in a row one time and the second night my friend forgot her ID, but he remembered us and let us in. He's always friendly and he's a cutie too! That's a plus! I'm from the south shore in Massachusetts so we drive about an hour to get to Providence. We were stuck in traffic one night and it was one of the nights where ladies were free till 11. We arrived there two minutes after 11 but spoke to one of the owners of Colosseum and he was very nice about it and let us in. *Just make sure you bring enough for the cover charge just in case you arrive late. Another night my friends and I were walking to get in line and one of the staff members at Colosseum pulled us aside and let us into the VIP 'No Wait' line which was incredibly nice. The only downside is the amount of older guys in there.. There have been many occasions where I've been hit on by guys that look old enough to be my dad. And sometimes there are even older guys that look like someone's grandfather. Ladies, just be prepared to have your ass slapped several times, rubbed up against, etc. but it wouldn't be a club if those things didn't happen! Overall it's a fun place to let loose and have fun. Colosseum is the only club in Rhode Island that my friends and I go to!

Though it could use a bit of a refresh, the interior is filled with lots of charm and queer energy. The space is huge- boasting a long bar, dance floor & go-go stage, a coined pool table, and plenty of bar top and lounge seating. My friends and I went on a Saturday night around 8pm and there was no cover. The drinks were cheap, bartender was kind, and we had a fab time. Will definitely be making this my new go-to spot when my queers and I need a cheeky little drink and pool game. Xx

I was a former Chicago Nightlife promoter for 10+ years. Therefore i may have a bit of a bougy taste... What!? i'm just saying. this may be the best nightclub/lounge in providence, but clearly i've experience better. -=Parking=- Parking is always an issue when going out. We drove around for a sold 20 minutes and ended up valeting it. At the end of the night, the valet service was quick and promot -=Decor=- whoa! i think i like what i see... the decor of any venue speaks for itself.. therefore this new little lounge was yelling modern, clean, edgy and fun to my face... and i was yelling back with my dance moves! oh yeah! The owner did a fabulous job on the decor... i just hope they keep it clean -=Bottle Service=- Getting bottle service here was a bit confusing... I walked up to a random table looking at the bottle menu and expected someone to come to my attention... but that didn't happen. luckily i knew one of the cocktail waitress what was working and order a bottle of henny ($275). They service the bottle of Henny with orange juice, cranberry juice and pineapple juice; this is a bit odd since you would expect this from a clear liquor such as belvedere or gray goose... but what ever, they need to work on their protocol behind the bar... This club was trying too hard... cover and drinks too expensive for the experience once we got…read moreinside. the people inside are trying too hard too. icon lounge tries to be a trendy, hip nightclub but it's just blah. no excitement, nothing that makes this place stand out. just people standing around wearing mini dresses trying to look hot. every girl in there had a mini dress with their underwear showing and the guys stood around with attitude in their fashion button down and jeans uniform. i felt like i was in a bad jersey shore episode, only without the comic relief or fun. music was ok. drinks were not good and too expensive, and like i already said, the place and the people in it were trying too hard to be hip. boooooring.

(I wasn't so cool in my outdated flared jeans and fleece pullovers). But I finally got to feel like a hipster/scenester when I went to Providence is Burning, a monthly dance party held in an empty warehouse of sorts. The music was great-- a trancy, club hits mix that slowly evolved through the night. And cover was only $5! But keep in mind, that you really have to love music, dancing, and being silly to enjoy being here. This is not a "nightclub" like the Complex or Roxy. There are no seats (like I said, it's just an empty one-room warehouse) so you will be expected to keep moving, despite how sweaty you are (there is subsequently a lack of air circulation). If you try to pick up members of the opposite sex, chances are that they won't hear or care, or they will be too high to notice. Don't worry, there are no shenanigans here and it's not a sketchy joint by any means. But it does take extra energy to dance for 4 hours straight, if you know what I mean. Also, know that there are no fancy schmancy cocktails here. I think the makeshift stand had beer and a few magnum bottles of cheap wine. As you can imagine, no credit card machines here so bring cash. All in all, this is an awesome place, for the right type of person. I've had friends that hated their experience and some that can't get enough. I think, if you're willing to not take yourself so damn seriously, you'll have a blast. Girls-- Wear flat shoes and leave your skanky clubwear at home.

Never been hit on by a guy, and I particularly enjoy Girlspot on Saturdays, their lesbian night. But this review is not about the club. This review is about the very addictive bar pizza. I am 100% hooked on it. Don't order the slices, go for the whole thing. Refer to picture. That should be enough to convince you. =)
