This cafe is situated level 1 inside Westfield Parramatta and very close to the train station. It's pretty much next to the level 1 food court so not that hard to find. When I went here my first choice of food was unavailable so I just wanted somewhere to sit in peace and quiet and have some semi decent food. Waitress was shocked when I ordered two dishes, I was super hungry but I was also curious about the quality. But whatever woman, feed me.
I ordered the hot loco eggs and nutty for waffles. I was tempted to go into brioche French toast territory but I'm not ready for bacon decorated French toast, that's too American for me.
Two problems: 1. Waffles were served straight away with the eggs, the waiter feebly explained that the chef cooked them immediately and then just dumped them on my table. Hmph.
2. Waffles were stone cold and rock hard. They gave me a butter knife to cut them but they should've served up a steak serrated blade.
The hot loco eggs I did not know what to expect. So when they did arrive I was hesitant to try but they were okay tasting. As in the first thing I thought about what how to incorporate the eggs + tomatoes with the tortilla. Not an easy task for a half sleepy person.
The only thing I truly liked about this place was the emptiness and secluded seating I snagged.
I can only imagine this place has hot and cold days. I would give it a chance again if my first choice was unavailable next time too. read more
