Prior to the event, we worked together to craft a menu that aligned with my theme for the evening and everything was delicious. We had several non-vegan attendees and they were just as impressed by our meal. The team was very pleasant, knowledgeable, communicative, and easy to work with. Communications and day of logistics were flawless and I was very comfortable with the safety precautions taken in light of Covid. I highly recommend Herban Plate and look forward to working with them again in the future. So to sum it up...great customer service and delicious food. What more could I ask for? :)

But Nicole stands out from the pack in so many ways. Nicole has a knack for creating amazingly beautiful dishes with the healthiest of ingredients. Each and every time I have had the honor of joining her for a meal, I have been treated to the leanest and juiciest meats, the freshest, most beautifully prepared vegetables, all seasoned perfectly with the right spices and plated in an artistic, yet satisfying way. Chicken grilled to perfection, with just the right balance of garlic and seasonings, salads painstakingly prepared with brilliantly colored heirloom tomatoes and grated cheeses. The list of her very best dishes goes on and on. Nicole goes far beyond the basics, with her artistic mind creating an exciting menu even from just a quick glance at what you have in the kitchen. When paired with a great bottle of specially selected wines to bring out the flavors, you have a night you'll remember. When the meal is over, you'll be immensely satisfied with the flavors you've tasted, the healthy foods you've enjoyed, and the wines that have complemented the evening perfectly. I would have Nicole be my personal chef as well as the chef for my most important gatherings of friends, family, and clients. She will make you smile and long for the next delicious meal.

This place is all about the freshly grown herbs - there are planters upon planters of them lining the windows, and even more next to the kitchen. The open layout is complete with an open kitchen at the back, where I'm sure the food is just as fantastic as the rest of the venue. I love that they're using this space for fitness and wellness events too. I recently attended a yoga class here taught by Brendan Lentz of the Dharma Yoga Center. It was a small class, about 15 people total, and he introduced different poses suitable for the varying levels of the people there, as well as different breathing exercises. The 90-minute class ended with fruit bowls and freshly squeezed orange, grapefruit, and blood orange juice, plus some of Bouley's signature lemon pound cake! If I had the money (and an occasion to throw a party for), I'd definitely consider Bouley Botanical.

For seasoned vegans, Tadale is the king of comfort - he's the kind of vegan chef that isn't afraid to season, but does so with extreme care, as not to overpower the goodness and purity of the food. For non-vegans, Tadale silences the skepticism. His dishes make you enjoy vegetables and grains in ways that awaken your palette and make you second guess why you eat meat at all. His Caribbean flair makes for exciting cuisine that leaves you wanting more. He is extremely generous with portion sizes and caters to his customers and clients because he cares about about making them happy. I was really looking forward to these meals as a treat to myself after the birth of my daughter…read more Sadly, the experience was disappointing. The food was solid - yummy and healthy, and I love that the ingredients are locally sourced. However, I ended up cancelling early (had planned on several weeks in a row) since the overall experience was not that convenient and definitely not worth the cost. 1) Flavors: The food tasted good, but most of the time was very similar to what I would make for myself. If it were just a matter of saving time, that would be fine. But for $32 a meal, I was hoping to enjoy the chef's skills and eat something a little more interesting. For example, every single vegetable side had only garlic and no other spices. Also, the grains were usually completely plain (e.g. plain rice, plain quinoa). 2) Variety: Across the nine meals I tried, there was a great deal of repetition of the sides. 3) Size: For $32 a plate, would have been nice to have smaller grain and larger protein. 4) The logistics: There was no detail on the website or even after ordering regarding how the delivery would occur. I then was told the only option was a six-hour window starting at 6am. Also, I had to send a number of emails to clarify the procedure. Uri always wrote back pretty quickly, but it was too many emails in my opinion. Finally, we received a 30-day invoice only to get an email a couple weeks later asking the bill to be paid immediately.
