It was my daughter's choice because they were hungry. So I went along. Bad decision. I ordered the Goa Curry. I asked the waitress what Goa Curry is and the answer that I got with bit of an attitude was "It's Goa curry." Ok....
I had it, anyway. For the price I paid, the portion was small. The flavor was not anything like curry, at all.
You see, there's a problem when you try to be too fushion-y too much; you lose the authencity, yes, but this was just pushing the envelope too much. The pickled something was awful! The waitress asked me how how the food was and I asked her if she really wants my honest answer and she said yes so I did. It was not worth what we paid. They tried to make up for it by giving us free desert. But my daughter took it, anyway, because she didn't know it was free. She said she wouldn't have taken it.
Bottom line is, I know this place tries to mean well to give like a farm-to-table vibe. Unfortunately, they veered away a little too much from authentic flavors. read more
