I called to make an appointment for a depo injection and they were real quick to assist me. Minerva was the one who assisted me and she was really helpful walking me through the paperwork. You can also ask for a PACT card if you don't have insurance and of low income. The facility is clean and the staff are really nice. No judgment at all. read more

This was my first time at planned parent hood. I was little nervous but the staff here are literally amazing. Everything was so private and confidential. Diana was the best, she had to draw my blood, I couldn't even feel it. I was sitting there bracing myself for her to stick the needle in my arm, clearly eyes closed. She asked me if I was ok, and she was almost finished! Like what? I didn't even know she had started the process. She has the lightest hands. I have been to so many doctors offices and gotten blood drawn and it was never a pleasant experience. Experience was okay it felt very rushed with the doctor I believe it was no one identified themselves when speaking with me. My appt was at 10 luckily I arrived at 9 didn't leave till almost 11:20 and I was just there for a depo shot. Even though I have health insurance, I still find myself coming to Planned Parenthood for a variety of minor issues because it's nearby, discreet (only if you don't provide health insurance, in which case, services are free), easy, and fast. It's also familiar as I've been coming here intermittently since high school. Services provided include: women's health care, men's health care, birth control, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing & services, abortion services, STD testing, treatment & vaccines, and HIV testing. The staff, for the most part, is friendly, but the general advice from the different nurse practitioners is sometimes inconsistent and contradictory, which isn't a good thing; so I don't usually trust everything they say and use common sense (or Google). Tip: Always make an appointment or you'll end up waiting for hours. P.S. This location should take note from the Glendora center and instead of showing Jerry Springer or Maury on TV, playing a movie like The Devil Wears Prada would be nice and greatly appreciated. read more

This place was a total RIOT! I'm sorry; I HAVE to write about going here. There was this one doctor who pushed me to 'eat healthy' and asked if I knew what Trader Joe's was; I told her, boy howdy, that was my go-to spot for my fancy English butter and brie and miniature toasts! Ummmm, butter and brieeeee. Needless to say, that wasn't the right answer. After scolding me for my love affair with rich food, I was given my party bag, chock full o' rubbers and birth control pills. YES! Anyway, they are very passionate about women's health at Planned Parenthood. I'm glad they are around. The nurses were very nice; the whole staff was, actually. I heard they get the occasional bible beaters praying for souls (because health and happiness are the works of Satan) at their door, but it hasn't been for a long time. read more

The clinic staff is nice, the gynecologists are a bit short, and reluctant to answer your questions at times. Therefore the service is fine. The place is very clean. Just good clinic overall. The biggest problem.... the WAIT TIME. Holy... snap! *faints* You're appointment time is say 12am, you don't see the doc until 2:40pm, and walk out at 3:00pm. Yes and that is what happened to me. What in the world?! Then what was the point to my appointment? To tell you a lady that was there with an 11am appointment walked out past 12:40 because she still hadn't seen the doctor. This planned parenthood is located in the El Pollo Loco plaza on Peck Rd. It's right across from the CVS pharmacy. There's lots of parking that say only 20 mins, but I've parked there for over 2 hours before and they don't check. I always come to this planned parenthood location because it's the closest to me. Making an appointment at PP in general takes a long time. I'm always put on hold for at least 10-15 mins because they are flooded with calls. At least they let you know how many callers are ahead of you, so that's very helpful. I've noticed that even though you have an appointment, they will call each person in order of the time you arrive. So let's say I come in at 11am with an appointment and some girl arrives a little bit after me and she says she has an apt at 10:45 so she's 15 mins late. They will still call my name first before hers because I came in first and finished all my paperwork first. Or even if I just walk in without an appointment and some girl comes in after me with an appointment, they will still call me first. So making an appointment is really not necessary in my opinion. If there are a lot of people already sitting in the waiting room, then expect to wait a LONGGG time! If there's not that many people, say like 4-5 people, the wait is like 30 mins. The women at the front desks are usually not that friendly, and I can barely hear them thru the glass window. Either they're not speaking loud enough or they need to lean in more so their voice can go thru that small round thing in the middle. The nurses that help you and ask you all the personal questions are always really nice and helpful. They've made me feel really comfortable during awkward situations. When I got my HPV shots the lady calmed me down and did some breathing exercises with me since I'm extremely scared of needles and shots! She made me feel a lot better and even rooted for me the whole 7 seconds of pain. It's very quiet in there so make sure you eat some food before coming so your tummy doesn't rumble. Trust me, it's very awkward and embarrassing when that happens to me. read more

Can't complain about free right?... Well, so I've come twice to this facility. Once for an annual exam and once for refills on birth control... And have had 1 telephone call interaction. So the annual exam took 1.5 hours, but apparently that's not that long according to another person who was sitting there and had been a patient of theirs for a while... it was pretty much 1.25 hours of waiting in the various waiting rooms and .25 hours of actual exam time. You pay according to what you can afford, so it's a great resource and I was pretty satisfied with the visit, so no complaints for this particular event. I called to follow up because I hadn't heard back from them and I've had abnormal results in the past and was concerned and doubtful that everything had resolved since 4 months previous... The lady was quite irate with me on the phone and reminded me again that they only call back if the results are abnormal. I kindly asked her to recheck mine as it had been abnormal for at least a year and getting worse as of the last time i was checked 4 months ago. Haven't heard back from them, she said she'd call if it wasn't normal. I went back in for just refills. The first visit i went, I was switched to a different birth control and therefore only given a couple months to see if I would adjust to them. So I was told i could go back in for the rest of the year's supply. This was a 2 hour visit just to get a bag of 10 refills. 2 hours of waiting in the waiting room. I am going back since it's free and I dont have health insurance still and need a follow up again.. we'll see how it goes... read more

This place was horrible, my girlfriend came here for her IUD and let me just tell you it was such a headache.. Called made a appointment my girlfriend gave them all the information my girlfriend asked if she had to bring her Insurance card after providing her the number already and the people on the phone said no that what she gave is enough... Ended up getting there and the "Supervisor" Wendy Arcero literally started yelling at my girlfriend saying that she needs her insurance card as a form of payment and yelled at her in-front of multiple people. Then she rescheduled a appointment at 2:20 she took back all the right paperwork waited literally 2 hours till she was done. The worst part is the doctor told my Girlfriend to "Shut Up, It doesn't hurt" after my girlfriend screamed in pain... Just wow this place is HORRIBLE read more

The receptionist wasn't very nice, but the doctors were extremely accommodating, supportive, and understanding of my general derpiness. I felt really comfortable with the people here, and thanks to the buzzer and bullet-proof glass as well (eek) safe. One thing I would complain about is that they don't have water for people in the waiting room. Kinda ridiculous considering that a lot of people might need to give urine samples anyway. I had to go all the way to El Pollo Loco for water, and their bad service put me in a bad mood... On the bright side, I got lots and lots of free condoms. Anybody want free condoms? :D read more
