A neat stop if you are traveling along highway 8, near the US/Mexico border. This was a road used in the early 1900s to get all the way to San Diego. Prior to this trip, I had no idea such a road existed. You have to exit the highway and backtrack a little bit to reach the historic site. You can view the remainder of the wooden planks, which have a barrier surrounding them. When you park at the historic site, you can see the US/Mexico border wall, so you get to see 2 landmarks at once.
