Finally came back to get my nose pierced again after over 10-years! Because I work in an industry that I'm not supposed to have this the first time I got it we wasn't wearing masks so I wasn't able to get away with it...lol. But now that the mask is majority of the time still mandatory I'm doing what it do! Now Chris is the nose pierced and he was very enjoyable to talk to and answered all of my questions I had about the piercing. He also confirmed that 97% of his new customers are getting it not really supposed too! Which is very unfortunate because the nose ring is actually very pretty and elegant. But whatever to each their own! I have also gotten tattoos there when I lived in the area and because I was in a hurry I didn't get one but when I come back in town I will definitely come back to get more ink! I have gotten a tattoo and multiple piercings here. I have even returned to get my piercing jewelry changed. I called today after noticing my jewelry is broken and they said there was probably nothing they can do. I would go back for a tattoo and even to get the piercing but I wouldn't get any jewelry here except what they put in right after the piercing is done. Seems cheap. read more

I used to love this place and that's the only reason I kept coming back. Went there a week ago to get my two cartilage piercings changed out- wanted the same earring for both ears. The guy seemed nice but not very experienced- like he was tugging hard on the hoop I had in, I had to take it out, and in the process of taking out my original stud he was so rough I started bleeding. He also screwed the studs in by hand- which I guess you can do but I thought they had a tool to make sure it was fully on? Not only do they charge $30 for jewelry, you also have to pay $20 for the back and that's just one earring. I wanted the peace of mind of knowing I had internally threaded earrings put on by a professional- because in my experience, those stay in. Well apparently not this experience. After a week of having them, the left earring is completely gone- no idea where either piece could be and the right earring fell out this morning after I touched it to make sure it was still there. Luckily I was able to find it and put it back in, but my jewelry shouldn't be falling out after a week. I have not washed my hair or played with the piercings at all except to check that they were still there. A $95 charge ( 2 pieces of jewelry, 1 back, and a service charge) and it feels like I have nothing to show for it. read more

I came to Marcus for a rose tattoo and was not disappointed. Upon walking in to Planet Ink it was obvious that the staff had a great, friendly bond. You could hear laughter and jokes being made and it created a very light-hearted, cozy atmosphere- which I found to be a stark contrast from other places I've been that made me feel uneasy and out of place. When Marcus called me back I noticed plenty of knick-knacks around his studio that kept my eyes occupied during the tattoo process. I'd ask questions about various items I noticed on the walls and Marcus would chuckle as he gave me a back story on each thing I'd pointed out. He also played some very soothing music as opposed to the usual hard rock you hear in most tattoo parlors. He created a relaxing atmosphere that put me immediately at ease. Even more than this, his "bedside manner" (for lack of a better term) is bar none! He talked to me and my husband throughout the tattoo with a happy, up beat conversation. My husband and I both agreed that we felt like we could talk to him for hours! He had a humble, welcoming demeanor and was more than happy to explain his method as we went along. I also couldn't help but notice that his abilities are incredibly versatile. From realism to traditional with amazing attention to detail and watercolor ability- he's dabbled in it all and it's quite clear that he brings his A-game to every piece. The rose turned out even better than I had hoped for and I couldn't be happier with my experience. If you're looking for someone who puts his clients interest first, keeps the room smiling and puts his heart into his work, Marcus is your guy. I'll definitely be back. Thanks, Marcus! My sister and I came in to Planet Ink to get matching tattoos of our grandmother's handwriting. We did not have an appointment, but simply asked Marcus earlier in the day if he would be able to squeeze us both in. I went to Planet Ink today after researching quite a few shops in the area. I have had my nose pierced before but the guy (at a place in AL) set it entirely too far forward on my nose. I'm so glad that I chose Planet Ink to get this redone. Chris talked me through where I wanted it and actually gave his opinion on what would be the best location and what would look better. He even marked it three times just to get it perfect for me. Marcus was at the desk drawing up a tattoo for someone while I was waiting and he was great too! They were all super friendly. I loved planet ink I got a tattoo from rich at the canton shop! How ever I was not happy with the piercing I got from there I do not know how to spell the guys name and he was nice but I had to wait for 2 weeks for him to order a longer barbell for an anti-industrial and and after I got it done it wasn't long enough for my ear to swell and sad to say i had to remove it :'( read more
