I had a very good experience at Lucky Draw. It was my first tattoo and they guy, I went to Mark, was very patient with me. He explained everything to me like what not to do and aftercare. In total I was there for about an hour. I also got my nose pierced there by Scott. He did a good job. Overall its a great place, welcoming and informative staff, great atmosphere. The location itself was inviting, very clean, as was his station. Everything that should be wrapped was wrapped, scheduling was a breeze and everyone else made the experience one to remember. After a year of searching all over the greater Atlanta area I found him in my own backyard ( after thinking I needed to find an artist in the city). I've used Lucky Draw in Dallas for most of my tattoos, and I've never had any issues. I went in last night, and let the guy know that me and a friend that was on her way to meet me there, wanted tattoos. Seemed I was the only customer in the shop. I showed him what I wanted and told him what my friend wanted and he said he could do both without any problem. He asked me to text him the picture of the tattoo I wanted and he would go set up his room and get the paperwork ready. As he left to go to the back my friend texted me and let me know she had arrived, so I went outside to greet her and bring her in. While being outside for maybe a total of 5 whole minutes, another customer walked in. We went inside and I went to fill out my paperwork and the artist told me "you left, and I took the next person in line, now I don't have time to do either one of your tattoos, sorry man". I don't expect superb customer service from any tattoo parlor, but I took that as extremely rude. I will gladly take my money elsewhere. read more

I have visited Lucky Draw with my Niece when she had her belly button pierced. The experience and the artist was a true pleasure. However, I called today to inquire if they could pierce my upper ear cartilage. The gentleman which I spoke with was very cordial and explained that I needed to get there sooner than later due to previous obligations. I immediately left my employment and picked up my two daughters so I would not have to worry about arranging a babysitter. When I arrived at the Dallas location of Lucky Draw, I was greeted by two of their employees that denied ever talking with me about having my ear cartilage pierced much less the fact they left out that there WAS NOT ANY PIERCERS available to perform My request. They both ask me in heavy doubt if I was sure I had actually called THEM!!!!! I had show them on my recent dialed calls that their number was INDEED on my phone listed with a not so short conversation!! It was as if they realized THEIR mistake but wanted to blame it on me! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND, give a positive referral or especially use this business EVER!!!! If they realize they made a mistake, a simple apology would have cleared the entire situation up. However, considering they made it appear that they had never even spoken with me (despite it was only approximately 20 minutes before I arrived)!!!!! I feel the employees that I had to deal with today need customer service training and a perhaps a reminder of how to properly treat their customers. read more

I can't speak for there tattoo's but I can most definitely vouch for the quality of this shop when it comes to piercings. The shop is incredibly clean and the guys who run it are super down to earth. A friend and I went to get pierced here and I have no complaints at all they actually know what in the hell they are doing when it comes to tricky piercings. A lot of shops on this side of town to be frank are a bit sketchy and off putting not this place! The music was good and I have to say the spooky bathroom made me giggle. So if your looking for someone who actually knows how to do a proper piercing this is definitely the place. read more

This was my first time at LDT, I went to the Dallas location to see Chris Vennekamp and he did an OUTSTANDING job! i could not be more happy with my tattoo, i got the divine intervention logo from slayer which is a very detailed piece, it's exactly like the seal! it is without a doubt the best black and grey tattoo i've ever seen in person, i still can't believe i have such an amazing work of art on me, my friends burst out laughing just because how ridiculous it was, my fiance friends and i will most definitely go back back to him to get other pieces done. i would recommend LDT to anyone it's worth every penny! ask for Chris Vennekamp he's your guy. I've been to many tattoo shops over the years, and let me say, I will never go anywhere else but Lucky Draw in Dallas! Matt Brumelow and Mathew Purdy have done my tattoos, and they are both fantastic artists and incredibly talented! The last tattoo I got from here was a cover up on my foot (done by Mat Purdy) and I could not be more pleased! I originally had a simple plumeria flower, and I wasn't pleased with the harsh outline or coloring. I went to Mat, because he's done a couple other of my tattoos (which are equally as amazing!) , and I knew he'd do a great job. He drew something up right then, and took his time placing it on my foot to make sure the original tat was covered completely. The result was even more than I could have asked for! He surpassed my expectations! The rose I have now is so realistic and colorful and so much more than I could have imagined! Ive been to LDT 2 twice for my own tats, once for a piercing by Jim, and Ive been with my husband while he got his sleeve done.... I highly recommend Tim Baxley for tats. He did my first tattoo- a custom piece that I am extremely happy with! I had a couple items I knew I wanted in the tattoo, but Tim made it so much more beautiful than even I imagined. His attention to detail and adding the little extras made it so perfect. He def. made it the best possible experience for me, and for that I will continue to go back to see him for every tattoo I get. Also, when I got my piercing, Jim was fantastic. Both Jim and Tim made sure I knew exactly how to take care of my "new art" before I left the shop. LDT is very clean, and I felt completely comfortable getting my work done there.
