I like the gym, and the staff and price is great. My only complaint is with the entitlement of some of the members. They spend time sitting on equipment on their cell phones or doing sets on equipment that is reserved for the 60 minute workout. Ok, the gym has newer equipment and more space, but they took out equipment?. there's more people than this gym can handle, and most of the time, you have to wait to use the machines. I'm not sure if there's a policy for shoes, but i see a lot of young people working out in sandles and Crocs ?? Guy, today was working out in socks... no worries, the employees could care less as they just hang out in the back small room, and the gym is unattended. bathroom still needs improvement, still dirty and no ventilation. For someone that just goes to the gym for about an hour to use the left side equipment (treadmill, rower, etc.), I haven't had issues with this gym. It's not hot at all and some of the machines have a fan option. A few machines have been out of order and I wish they'd put a note them. I have pretty low expectations since I came from the Lake Nona Crunch Fitness which locked me into their membership and made it extremely difficult to cancel. Realistically, the bathrooms are a little musky and I've never seen anyone ever use the tanning booths and massage chairs, Which probably means they're broken. The chairs are also out in the open next to the reception which I found weird. These benefits I didn't really care about on my Black card though but someone else would feel cheated. A function of the black card I did want to try were the classes. I've booked three classes on the app but every single time there was no trainer or anyone there at the meet up, so I'm assuming there's no trainer at the location or something. I mean if you're up to only have a gym for the equipment and is casual about it. It's a good spot. Half the perks on the Black Card are basically not useable, which kind of sucks and I should downgrade since this is the only gym I go to. But hey they give you 50% off the beverages! read more

Recently moved and this is the worst planet fitness I've ever been to. SO dirty so small, barely any machines two horrible tanning beds. They don't sell tanning lotion either. There are 8 lockers in the locker room. NO hydro massage beds. I have been a member for a while now. For the price basically a very nice and suitable gym. Staff works hard at keeping it clean and sanitized. They do not however enforce mask rules. While most members wear masks, there are several who do not and no one brings it up to them . The biggest problem is the locker Tommy-It is tiny, with only 16 lockers-2 rows of 8 on top of each other. If 2 people are at lockers, no one else can fit. In addition there are only 2 stalls in the locker room, and one is consistently out of order for days at a time-then it works for one day and out of order again. Today I had to leave the gym to use a bathroom facility in one of the stores in the shopping plaza--It is not the first time. There is a CF Fitness right across the street--it's a little more expensive but facilities and offerings make it worth the money read more

The staff is always cleaning the gym which is great but too many people take phone calls and talk to friends when on the equipment. I can hear it all over my earphones. Wish staff monitored that better. Another odd thing a friend of mine also noticed, the male staff is much friendlier. The blonde and the short Spanish lady always seem very cold. Never friendly. 17/100 in 100 review challenge 2016 Great gym for a great price. Even if you don't go often it's worth the monthly of yearly payment. There is always some type of machine you can jump on if you are in a rush to get through your workout. Good selection of machines. The 30 minute circuit is get to get on if you don't like going over to the other side. The weight on those machine is enough so you don't have to. I tend to do it this way so I don't have to go over there and wait for machines. It's the same ones. The other side seems to get crowded at the normal peak times and you have the same people hogging them up and I hate to ask about cutting in. So its easier to stay on the other side. The bathrooms are clean and well kept. The staff is always checking to make sure they are. They are always walking around the gym also to make sure that is kept clean. The staff tends to be hit or miss with attitudes towards customers. Lots of young people working here who are more concerned with talking to each other at the front desk than helping out the customers. Hours are great if you don't like going at the peak times. 24 hours a day on the week days and 7 - 7 on the weekends. You can't beat that. read more

Recently moved back to Florida from Las Vegas where I was a member at 24 Hour Fitness. I was looking for a a place close to my house open 24/7, and PF's 24/5 (7a-7p on weekends) is working just fine for me. Sometimes I get a late night urge to go work out. I'm pleased with the gym so far and have no complaints. It's clean, large, and has a very friendly staff. The no judgement zone is so much more conducive to a great workout for me, as I'm not feeling like others are judging me or making fun of me - a HUGE problem at other gyms. There is plenty of equipment so that I've never had to wait on a machine or feel rushed due to people waiting. I choose the Black Membership ($19.95/mo) so that I could have free tanning and bring a guest whenever a friend or family member wants to go with me. They also have massage chairs and discounted drinks for Black Membership. I highly recommend and encourage anyone who wants a gym in which you can focus on you and not on others to consider PF. read more

I have been a member for over 4 years and normally I don't complain much but I am so tired of paying for the black card and not getting the benefit. I stay with Planet Fitness so I can go to several locations when in different areas but every time I am in St Cloud where I live the tanning booths are not working or the bulbs are black. The do not have the updated machines as the new gyms either. When I ask the manager at the desk about it, they just want to cancel my membership or give me a run around. I ask for corporates number, they will not give it to me. The management staff in this location is a joke. I have seen several in there over the years. They don't care if you are a member or not. I am tired of leaving upset with my blood pressure boiling because of their lies like I am stupid just be honest. This location needs to closed. As far as my membership goes well I guess I will take their advise and close it after 4 1/2 years due to paying for a service I can't receive. I disagree with my former self on a few details. This is a pretty good gym. Definitely abandoned during the day, cannot testify to what the crowdedness is after work. They also have some interesting equipment, like the free-weight bar with the little bars going in between the things. I like that one and so does the guy with the scruffy beard who smells like old pizza. There's an interesting fellow who stands by the front desk making unusual comments. I once heard him declare, "I'm itchy!" For $10-20 a month, this is pretty good. Better than most PF, and clean, and has nice separation between the cardio and weight areas. read more

So, I have been a member for 5 years now and it is considered my home gym. Yes, CF Fitness is right across and a lot more equipment, no mask is required etc, but the one thing that keeps me at planet are the tanning beds. For $20.00 a month, you get unlimited access to the gym, any location and tanning beds. This location, locker is small, stalls are only 2 but I have known the staff and met some cool people. Great local gym. It's clean with a lot of machines. Even when it is crowded, there is always open machines. I used to have a membership here when I first moved to town, however they wanted me to have the monthly payments come out of my bank account and not my credit card. I do not like giving my bank account information and cancelled my membership once my contract was over. They recently had a deal: $99 for one year and you pay it upfront, all at once. I love that! My husband and I immediately signed up. All-in-all, it's a good gym with basic, user friendly equipment. You can't beat it for the price. read more

Planet Fitness - The 30 minute PF Express. - Gyms Near Me - St. Cloud, Florida

I literally drive an extra 20 minutes everyday to avoid this location even though its the closest to me. Always dirty, locker rooms are EXTREMELY small with only 3 stalls and one is always out of order. It is always overcrowded with no management, just employees that hide in the back with attitude. I am never greeted or told goodbye. This location is so out of date and small with equipment that is so ghetto and literally falling apart. One time I decided to tan here and half the lightbulbs were out so I was left with uneven tan tines and stripes that lasted for over a week. Half the paper towel stations are empty and never replaced along with the trashcans being filled to the top with another full trash bag just left next to it. This place actually smells like straight BO, maybe cause they only have ONE shower in the locker rooms. I don't know how this location has anything better than a 2 star review. I feel bad for anybody who goes here and this is their only experience they have ever had with a gym. Every other gym and planet fitness location is a million times better, more spacious, and up-to-date. If this is the only PF you've gone to, please try a different location, I promise it is worth the extra gas $$. I love the Kissimmee and Melbourne locations! read more

I joined this particular location because my son is doing an internship nearby and I had an hour to kill waiting for him to get off work where I get off the turnpike there to get to my home in Poinciana- so this was a great option. I find front desk staff to be nice. The gym is never packed but I wanted to use the bikes one day to cool down after my workout and there were none available- that was only once though. The equipment is good- this location you do not have to sign in to do the 30 minute circuit like in the other locations. The stand-up tanning unit is very old and there is no space in there to change- I put on the recommended cream for indoor tanning, and it is a challenge to do this because it is so cramped. I don't like the lay down beds but that option is there. I visit the Kissimmee club at the Osceola Mall- much bigger, much nicer facility. I also travel to Jacksonville regularly, their club puts all ours to shame but I am not here to review that location. The reason I am giving a 1 star review was an interaction that I had with the trainer. Because of my work schedule, and where I live, the times for the classes do not work- so after a month of going to this gym, I finally spotted the trainer behind the desk so I approached her to ask a few questions. I told her that I had lost a lot of weight and was now at the gym to try to tone up and lose the last 20 pounds that I wanted to lose- which seems to be challenging. I am sure I did not need to point out that my stomach is my problem area, but I told her that I was looking to do some exercises that would help. She looked more annoyed than interested in speaking with me. So I started to tell her what I was currently doing- I am in the gym @1.5 hours every day, I do cardio, and some resistance training. I do not do any free weight work as I do not know what to do. After I told her what I was doing she told me I was wasting my time. She then pointed at the schedule and told me to come to a class so I could learn what I was doing wrong. Well,. that would be great, if I could get there at 4 in the afternoon or 6 in the morning- but I can't. She told me that I was doing too many reps, that the treadmill is a waste of time, and one of the machines that I have been using- a torso twister thing- that NO ONE should use that machine and no trainer would recommend it. Ok, first off, I have actually gotten rid of my back fat/roll since I started using that machine. Secondly, if that machine should not be used, why is it there? She told me that there is no way to isolate the area of my abdomen that I am having trouble with. I have also lost over 4 inches in my thighs since I started using the Abduction and Adduction machines, yet she told me that it was not doing any good to do as many reps as I am doing. She really had NO interest in talking to me. She is a trainer and I pay to be a black card member, I think I should have access to a trainer who is interested in helping instead of telling me that I am wasting my time. What kind of advice is that? If she is going to tell me that everything I am doing is wrong, she should have at least been willing to suggest a couple of things that I could change for now until I could get into one of the classes where I could learn more. That is not how she handled the situation- she just "blew me off".... This was terrible customer service- and in an industry where you have SO many choices- and a fairly low buy out.... I suggest they find someone else and tell them that the customers come first. Maybe she should circulate on the floor and advise patrons, and offer advice. When I told her I use the torso machine she said "it's a wonder you have not hurt yourself." WHAT? I will continue to go to this location for right now, once my son finishes his internship and is no longer working down there, I won't go there any more. I can't say she does or does not know what she's talking about... but she was rude and unsupportive- 2 qualities VERY unbecoming someone who is supposed to be there to encourage and support people like me who are trying really hard to improve their fitness level and appearance. read more

Wow! Awesome experience here today at the Planet Fitness St. Cloud!!!! I had a little bit of an uncomfortable experience trying to use the 30 min express workout space, a member was not following the posted rules of the area (keep in mind the same machines are on the other side and not reserved for this specific workout) and I was getting a little upset and frustrated, I then spoke up and respectfully explained to the member, where he was then extremely rude and continued messing up the flow of the area, I then went to the front desk and spoke with the staff where a nice young man named Mark took it from there! He was extremely professional and comforting during this conversation, Mark did a great job monitoring the 30 mins workout station after that so my workout would not be interrupted again!! WAY TO GO MARK!!! His customer service went above and beyond today and I greatly appreciate that!!!! Side note, I certainly recommend this gym! The staff keeps it super clean, it's never really super busy! Staff is SUPER friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and did i mention how affordable it is!? Shoutout to the P.F. STC team!! read more

Deciding to join a gym, I weighed the options of Gold's, Anytime and Planet Fitness since all 3 are in a 2 mile radius. I was really leaning towards Planet Fitness because of the amneties listed on their website... and then I went in. The girl who grudgingly gave me a "tour" of the facilities was very unpleasant and told me that I could not try it out for a day nor meet with the trainer (Lisa) unless I signed a contract first. I would NEVER even consider this option of getting into a 12 month contract without trying it first and with how unpleasant this employee was... I can't even imagine having to deal with her on a daily basis. Needless to say, I joined Anytime Fitness down the road. I'm still in disbelief at how rude this woman was. Dropped in last week, the first PF I've been to outside my home town. Friendly people at the front counter as you enter, lockers and showers entry directly behind so you go around the counter to get there. Compact locker area with only two showers. Plenty of exercise machines to the right of counter, treadmills to the left. Small seating area to left of counter where members can sit and drink any beverages available, neat feature. Treadmills one step above floor, they lack individual small screens with channel changers as the one I visit but instead there are large screens near ceiling showing different channels. Going this weekend to cancel my membership. Not sure why this location has ZERO space to do mat work. I've actually come to realize ALL PF locations in the area (osceola mall and southchase) do not have SPACE where you can stretch before workout. If this is a beginners gym then there should be sufficient space where you can comfortably use the exercise balls and do mat work. Not in a tiny corner next to the bathroom. Going to be joining the gym across the road! I do enjoy the cardio area and how there is plenty of machines but the weights area is seriously lacking. I typically don't review "chain" stores or restaurants unless I have something valuable to tell my fellow consumers/yelpers about a particular location. If you watch for coupons in the mail around November 15th of the year, this place offers an annual membership for $99 (which comes out to $105.93 with sales tax). That is a terrific bargain. You can only use this one gym, but for that price who cares. They have enough treadmills; I've never had to wait for one even at peak usage times. Their equipment and bathrooms are always clean. Only rarely is a machine out-of-service for repairs. Their corporate culture strongly discourages muscle bound types from joining. I would rather not work out next to some 'roid raging jerk who is loud and grunts and has an opinion about everything. read more

The temperature is too hot at between 76-78 degrees when the thermostat is set at 70-72 (when I checked the last week of April and today, 5/01/2017). IFA recommends that that gyms that provide aerobics, weight training, cardio, and Pilates should have an average temperature of 65-68 degrees. read more

Staff stays mostly behind the counter staying oblivious to really what is going on floor areas, they do acknowledge you when you enter and exit, no big deal. Cell phone by members conversations are a daily, unless another members steps up and challenges the cell phone user, (that pisses them off and puts them on the attack defensive, giving reasons why they are allowed to ignore the posted signs) signs are posted they are not addressed by staff. Chat groups, 2-4 members on treadmills with their loud conversations overpower other cardio members with ear buds trying to work out catch up on news or events on monitors, and reverbs throughout the 30 minute work out equipment set. When it was requested for the staff member to please address the loud conversations, it was suggested to move to another machine. Not the response looking for. Only matter of time with failure of the staff to address the loud annoying conversation that there is going to be some type of negative interaction between members. These loud conversations are apparent throughout the 30 minute side of gym, and are part of the daily annoyances to other members. Members are using 30 minute workout equipment to do sets, no action from staff. Staff does not monitor members, members fail to clean equipment after use, apparently they were not instructed to do so in their orientation. The Planet Fitness TV commercial shows staff walking in gym area and observing members. This does not happen here at the St. Cloud Planet Fitness, even when there is a loud thud when a member trips or stumbles on the cardio devices. Great equipment selection, plenty of devices, good value for dollar, inadequate storage in lobby are on cold days for members to place tops, hats, keys etc. Staff needs improvement on customer service their mannerism and observation skills, including training on guest conflicts resolution. read more
