I am not sure why this location has some not great reviews but it is fine for us. It's always clean and well staffed.

Good location. Clean gym. Angie, Club Manager, was very helpful. She made joining the gym easy. I felt good getting a cardio workout in.

Nasty bathroom Cold showers. After telling the staff that the men's room was nasty and had no toilet paper, an hour later, it was still not cleaned. The showers are backward. They give you 5 minutes of freezing water and maybe 1 minute of warm. Shouldn't it be the other way around? If you go just for the machines...? Planet Fotness you are in my radar again. This is my second time to review Planet Fitness; but hey, when you got it you got it and at this club they certainly do. I have a very physically and mentally demanding job- and usually by the time I get to the gym- I look and feel inhuman. There is one smile that gets me every time. Working customer service is not easy folks- but Marissa at PF on Fairmont in Pasadena , Tx is a master in her class. She is always ready with a warm smile, and she even remembers my chair preferences, tanning time etc without having to probe the screen for those details. She is the first and last person I see when I hit this club, and she leaves a great impression each time. Aside from always keeping busy ensuring the club is spotless and sanitized, she takes the time to make each guest feel welcomed and at home, and to me that is more important than any perk offered by this company, and is what keeps me coming back. When I told her what an excellent job she did, a how it impacts myself and others- she was so humble and gracious, another sign of great character. I have been in recruiting and management professional for 20+ years- Planet Fitness- this young lady can take you places- so take note. They are con artists and Liars. They claim it's $10 a month but then charge your card $150 claiming membership fees, so for a year it'll really cost you $270+ , the worst part is they give you the run around to cancel, come this day talk to the manager. They keep charging your card even after you cancel, that's theft and fraud. They have old scamming tactics, ahhh you didn't read the fine print. Specially the ghetto, low class location in Pasadena on fairmont parkway. I'm going somewhere else, the last gym I sued and took to court was Fitness connection because they're also crooks. read more

It's a Planet Fitness a Garth Road is a great facility and it is part of my active and fit program with my insurance. It has all the amenities of all the planet fitness is and is very clean staff is also helpful. The only issue I have with this planet fitness is the dressing rooms I have no airflow in the shower area so when you are trying to get dressed it is very hot and humid it's very hard after a shower to thoroughly dry off and dress there's no air movement and it's sticky no fun read more

Gym is kept very clean, lots of working equipment that are readily available. Front desk staff are friendly. Plenty of parking. My only complaint is the shower that hasn't been repaired since I joined in May. The water when you shower gets scalding hot if you want to use the full pressure, otherwise it's a trickle at lukewarm. I hope no one burns themselves. Update. Shower fixed. My husband and I just joined today. I've got to say for a generic gym that's closer to our end of Clear Lake, it's clean but some of the staff are just lacking personality, borderline rude. (The day after signed up, we noticed that the representative entered similar sounding words for our street name but the similar sounding words were extremely rude. I called and spoke with the manager. He apologized but we are seriously considering canceling the membership all together!) This representative continued to be extremely blunt as my husband tried to locate his routing number through his bank app which was not working. She continued to exclaim that she'd need that and also my ID in order for us to workout today. I didn't bring my wallet as I've been robbed in the past at a gym. There was definitely a better, nicer way to handle the situation which only infuriated us as she continued to be non apologetic. Maybe it was an off day, maybe we just made this particular representative angry with our attempt to sign up but regardless we aren't impressed with this particular location! I applied for Planet Fitness and had an interview last week on Monday. I walked in 10 minutes early, eager and ready. I notified the front of my interview and they said they would be with me shortly. I was left waiting there for an hour before my interview finally started. Regardless, the interview went well. Once the interview was over, the employee said that they would give me a call in a couple of days to let me know. 3 days went by and I had called to see if they had reviewed my interview or not. They told me, "It usually takes a couple of days because we have to ask our bosses about it to see if you get hired". So I waited... it is now Thursday of the next week and I've just been left hanging. It's very unprofessional and a complete and utter waste of my time. read more

About 85% of the people that were there while I was working out didn't keep or wore their mask. As well I didn't see anyone enforcing it. How are we supposed to stay safe if everyone walking around or working out without mask as they should per requirements. read more

The machines are very modern and nice and the gym is actually really cool and fun to workout in but the customer service is horrible one very rude worker did not want to let me and my girlfriend use the hydro massage machines even though we both pay monthly for the black card and she said if someone else came up she would let them in before us just because we wanted to wait for 2 machines and instead of putting us on the waiting list she made us wait on the side also she was acting very rude to us then a guy came up and she started flirting and being super nice to him just shows you the staff is kinda unfair anyways I really love planets fitness just not the Fairmount location try the deer park one it's much nicer and more friendly read more

The staff are always working on the floor - including the manager. Machines that are not in proper working order are tagged out of order in a timely manner. The staff are constantly cleaning ALL parts of the machines - which is great! I say this because not all patrons clean up after themselves. Kudos Pasadena - y'all rock! read more

I just joined this location so far good !!! No problem staff is good always greet and welcoming I don't see any issue !! Machines are up to date clean the only thing I will suggest keep eye on paper roll most of the time it's ran out and it just inconvenient other than that I like this location not too crowded. Crazy this gym has a problem with people bringing in small gym bags, but not pushing people to spread apart when working out or wearing masks. People may have things they need who want to run back and forth to a locker, 24hr fitness here we come. Ladies, guys bring bags in there all the time. read more

This location always gives me issues. Especially with customer service. The managers (the female and the male) are rude, NEVER helpful and obviously just here to collect a check. Weak management= weak staff. I love my home gym in deer park and this one gives planet fitness a bad name. I go out of my way to go to the deer park location when I live in Pasadena. They have no idea what good customer service is, they should take notes from deer park. It's so small. I go in the morning 8/9 a.m. and I'm fighting bitches for a smith machine. Decided to go at 11 p.m. and it was the same. All the machines are taken , I literally have to wait and creepily watch for who's finished so that I can sprint and beat the other bitches who are also waiting around for a machine. Not a bad place but weight area is wayyyy too small. Everyone is into weights instead of just cardio nowadays with all the access to information. Even in a Sunday night you have to wait around in the weight area. They should really lease the empty area next door and expand. read more

I walked in on May 29th and canceled my membership as well as my daughter's due to COVID-19 and the fact that I had been furloughed since March 17th. On June 17th, I was surprised to see that I was charged for my daughter's membership. I called the location and spoke with Paula who could not help me so I asked to speak to her supervisor. She then put Lenny on the phone who just happened to be the person who incorrectly processed the cancelations on 05.29. He begins to tell me that I must not have canceled her membership since I did not have an email from the company. His error is now my problem. I would stay as far away from this establishment due to its unethical business practices. read more

Wifi has been an issue at the Planet Fitness location on Fearmont Pasadena for several weeks. When I asked the front desk for an update Dominic at the front desk told me that I was better off not connecting. When I asked when they were going to fix it he acted evasively. His answer was "the front desk don't control the internet" when I ask who does his answer was "l don't know" then I ask corporate? "I don't know" the whole time looking away and only providing short answers with an attitude. Not the service you would expect to receive from a front desk who is there to assist the members who are actually footing their paycheck. I ask to speak to the manager to follow up on the wifi issue but Dominic informed me that the manager is only there from M-F. I ask for his name and again with a short answer and without even taking the time to look me in the face, he replies "I think his name is Lynn" I continued with, I'll be back Monday to talk to Lynn. Then I ask what is his last name? Answer: "I don't know I think it starts with an M" what kind of BS service are we getting? Then, I mentioned that I would make sure Monday I bring his name up to Lynn and mention the WiFi issue and his poor attitude, rudeness, and poor performance as a front desk personnel. That caught his attention for a second to only reply "I am not" and then he when back to punching the keyboard just ignoring our conversation. At the end of the day, we are paying for all the equipment and services they are not giving us anything for free. All I am doing is demanding the services we all deserve in a paying membership. I canceled an account in 2018 and apparently never went through staff never called to tell me my payments weren't going through and when i resigned in 2021 nothing was still said to me till the SECOND time i used my number and the employee Heather was extremely rude to me. When i spoke to someone she wouldn't admit to negligence saying they don't call customers before sending an account to collections or providing refunds after terminating a membership that I was just charged for that i can apparently no longer use. Called the actual location nearest me and the guy working the Monday morning shift was zero help. A lot of amenities. A lot of equipment to use to get in a real good workout! You can pay about $22 for a black card membership or $10 for just regular gym membership but I recommend getting the $22 membership! The only thing I don't like is how cold it is in there, I can't sweat the way I'd like! read more

My favorite location in this area!!! And the staff is super friendly and helpful, I dropped my keys behind a locker and the manager helped us take them out and it literally took 1.5 hours. I really enjoy working out at Planet Fitness, the facility is always clean and staff will greet you upon arrival and when exiting the gym. I have been a member for over a month and in that time I have upgraded my membership and convinced my husband and son to join as well. The staff has always been friendly assisting with check in, however, this week I was informed my son was not eligible to have membership bc he was not 15 years old. I was forced to cancel his membership after being charged and required to add him as a black card guest prior to entering the facility. I was not given the assistance I typically receive and took 15 minutes before I was able to check him in due to the Internet connection. I cut my workout session short bc I felt that was incorrect and reviewed my contract and the planet fitness website which state a child 13 years of age may hold membership but must be accompanied by an adult. When I brought my concern to the front desk I told to wait for the assistant manager which took another 5-10 minutes. The staff was unprofessional and "petty" which made the experience very frustrating. read more
