There has been a much greater effort to keep this gym CLEAN and stocked with cleaning supplies. I still don't understand why the SHOWERS DO NOT HAVE CLEANING SUPPLIES - I am suggesting that again as that is the place with thee MOST BACTERIA and if you think cleaning after you use a piece of equipment is important - how about after someone bathes??? I've been going here for a few months. Its your standard planet fitness location. When it comes to gyms you do get what you paid for. They have had machines out for weeks at a time. Once all 3 core machines where broken and one of the massage chairs has been broken for almost a month. The cleaning stations are almost always broken. They do an ok job of cleaning as well. Often dust around the machines and near walls. Part of the issue is the staff. There is one woman who works there who is super friendly and helpful the rest of the staff seem very disengaged. They just hover around the desk all day and don't do anything. It would be nice to see them help correct some of the bad behaviors that happen. People not cleaning equipment after use, not racking weights and slamming weights to name a few. For the price if you need a gym go for it. read more

I travel the country and frequent Planet Fitness locations all over.. Some great, some not so great, typically I just assume something like a dirty bathroom is just me catching them at a bad time.. But this morning, I walked in to the men's lockerroom to find a mess, no toilet paper in stalls.. Whatever, figured someone would be by to clean and stock it up eventually.. but 2 hours later finished my workout to find the lockerrooms in an even worse state, still no toilet paper.. They had multiple employees just hanging out on their phones at the front desk, it really is troubling to me that none of the staff cared to even restock the restrooms, even if they didn't want to be the ones to clean up the other messes. Would not recommend this location at all and will not be returning. Never have these kinds of moments at any others all across the nation, where I would recommend people go. read more

I've gone here on and off over the past year. Most of the previous reviews are pretty accurate. Staffing seems to be an issue at this location. What little staff they have, are young adults. The only one you see is the one standing behind the check-in. Sometimes there's 2. The equipment works, and I've rarely experienced broken machines or lack of cleaning supplies. The locker rooms can definitely use a bit more attention. Especially the Showers. I tend to go before work so I need to wash up after my workout - but the showers are filthy. Truth be told I just think this location needs a couple more attentive and experienced staff to make this a better location. Proactive janitors, and attentive trainers. Around the clock. Otherwise it's a decent spot. Can't get mad at the kids working there for doing the bare minimum. The blame rests on management. read more

I'm liking this place. It's very convenient, very affordable as well. The best things are the hydro massage chairs and the deep massage chairs. Plentiful of machines to use for work out-either self explanatory or just watch people use the machines. There's nothing to it and be done however long you want your workout to be. Staff is always pleasant. Ok, maybe sometime, one guy is a bit inattentive and seem to not care as much. Only one guy so far. Idk what his deal is but whatever. I'm a customer . Anyway, All is good! I absolutely love this gym. It's spacious, well-equipped, and generally very clean. What really stands out, though, is the staff. They've always been incredibly helpful and friendly. Just moved from Bremerton and tried the Edmonds Planet Fitness. Major downgrade. Only one staff member at the front desk, and he was nowhere to be found when I left. Locker room looks outdated and neglected--nothing like Bremerton's cleaner, more modern setup. Tried THREE different paper towel dispensers to wipe down a mat. All were empty. So much for "cleanliness is our top priority." All the TVs were tuned to the usual left-wing echo chambers. Bremerton at least had the decency to include a couple of monitors with Fox News for balance. I expected consistency from a national gym chain, but Edmonds PF clearly doesn't hold itself to the same standard. Disappointed and considering other options. read more

Totally awesome walk thru. Very exciting to have a Planet Fitness in Edmonds!! Love the roomy atmosphere and the great view of all the amazing equipment. They will have a special area for all the Black Card Members (right now until they open its $19.99 BC) hurry you only have a few days left and it goes to $24.99 a month! You can bring g a friend and use while out of town great perks with BC PF membership. They also have classic (only used at the location you sign up at) I highly recommend this new location. Well - I was so happy for this location and the facility is clean. However, today I waited for 20 minutes to tan which is partly why I came here but when I walked to the other side of the counter there was this. Now I don't mean to be a 'karen' but I was a little annoyed about this. I can tan at another time but I worry about people getting hurt inside, needing assistance or if something horrible happened!!! You should NEVER leave a facility open. I had to take a photo of the note - which was somewhat condescending and rude. Dude you are getting paid to work not run around on work time which I am guessing you got paid for whatever. I am sure emergencies happen but please be mindful of all your clients. This is the nastiest planet fitness I ever been too and me and my partner have been to at least 50 planet fitnesses locations. There know paper towels for almost a week they are having the entire gym use the same five washcloths to wipe down equipment.There are also blood clots in the women's shower drain and black mold on the shower curtains. There is broken soup dispensers that have been broken for two months now this is unacceptable you catch a lot of skin diseases and staff infection. I started going there because I like that it is open 24hrs BUT this place is dirty, the staff sit at the front and play on their phones the whole time. The female bathrooms are filthy (not sure of the males) stalls not cleaned, soap splatter all over the mirror, trash over flowing empty toilet paper, etc. I mean there really isnt much going on at 0400 in the morning so why is the staff just on their phones doing nothing. This location used to be a Rite-Aid store, Big "store windows" means the heat leaks outside easily, and add to that the opening and closing of the front doors, you can understand why it feels chilly in January. The high ceiling and bright lighting made it feel like I was working out in a big auditorium. Oh well, they have lots of equipment...and lots of noise!. If you just want to burn a bunch of calories, I suppose the cardio machine workouts would be okay. However, if you have a list of several isolation movements you want to do on resistance machines, you might find that those machines are spread out far apart here, or someone is looking at their phone instead of exercising. read more

My 15 year old daughter and I have been enjoying Planet Fitness since September. But then last week I realized I had been charged for 3 memberships? (Two for my daughter.) When I went in to ask the nice kid at the front desk said after checking with their manager that there was "nothing they could do." So I asked to see the manager. Manager Chris came out and started off by saying "it's not OUR fault you have 3 memberships that's on you". They have my daughter's picture and birthday on her account which we scan every time we walk in. We happily pay for 2 elite memberships even though we could just do one and the other person could be the guest. But rather than want to keep us he just was sarcastic, insulting and rude. Refused to help us. Kept saying it wasn't their fault it was mine. So finally I said it was my bad for not noticing until now that a third charge was coming out of my bank account. But could he please help me. He refused. I was very upset and shaking and he said "you have problems that you're shaking over this " I got really upset and asked for him to cancel our memberships. To which he said he'd "gladly cancel all 3" with a smirk rubbing it in my face that I had been accidentally paying $27 extra dollars for the last 7 months. Besides being really really mean, it's also a super weird business model? Don't you want to keep those low maintenance people who pay the high rate? He could have offered to give her a few months for free but instead he opted to humiliate me. (I'm a 55 yr old middle aged mom and he's a 20 something gym guy.) It was horrible. By now I'm actually crying (ugh!) and I grabbed my daughter who was already working out. As we were leaving my daughter ran back and said "what's the issue? Why did you make my mom cry?" I have never been treated so rudely at any place of business. I simply questioned the price differences from what I was quoted at the desk versus the on line process, which they directed me to do. It was only $5.65 more but when asked why and stated it was false advertising, the manager Rudely said, "are you here to join, or just simply to cause trouble?" Needless to say I took my business to Lake Forest Park. Where I was treated with respect and integrity. We've been going since it opened last year b/c of great location. Staff were missing a lot for a couple of months late last year when we went weekday evenings but so far they've tried to be present more, just at the desk. Reading the reviews here, if the Biz Mgr is that bad I feel bad for the staff, who've been nice and accommodating. Tonight was pretty bad though as the entire gym was completely out of paper towels, so nothing was getting cleaned by members. Staff said it's a supply chain issue but how... Only other issue is some members tend to camp quite a bit at many highly in-demand machines, looking up from their phone in Seattle ice surprise with a shrug when asked how many reps they have left. 10 min. for 3 reps is a bit overkill. PF might have a policy but like earlier reviews here it's probably up to us to handle it. It's a "get what you pay for" gym after all. read more

Improve the ventilation. I went to this newly opened facility in Edmonds early morning at 7 AM. There were only a couple of individuals in. The smell of all the new equipment and the lack of ventilation was suffocating. I usually run 5-6 miles outside. Here, I was on the treadmill for 1.5 miles and started feeling tired. Been using this gym for a couple of weeks. Staff problems. Dirty sinks in bathroom layered with scum. Broken water fountain without alternative water source. Toilets not being cleaned as well as urinals. Showers not being scrubbed full of old bandaids and hair.Get it together people get of your cellphone and get to work. read more

not impressed with this gym compared to 3 other PF locations. Staff shortage and employee sits behind counter/front desk on a chair with head in his phone. This gym feels like a sauna it was so warm. My wife and I came here last Friday for this opening of the club they were having. We had been in before but thought we'd check it out once more. Upon arriving there was a woman whom I believe went by elli. She shook our hand right away and was immensely passionate about us being there. Had an amazing encounter with her.
