We have an older solar system that suddenly stopped generating. I had no idea who to call for a repair and took a chance with Diamond Solar Solutions after doing a quick online search for recommendations. Brad came out 3 days after my initial call and within a few moments diagnosed my problem. He found that the initial installer had failed to ziptie the connectors and wiring so that they would not sit in a puddle of water after it rained. I was so grateful for Brad's efficient and competent service. He practically ran to get his ladder and get right on the job realizing that time was money. He was thorough, personable, and patient explaining what he had found. Diamond Solar Solutions will be my 1st point of contact for any future solar issues. They were honest and straight forward. I highly recommend this company.

I highly recommend you get competitive quotes, at least on solar batteries and watch for change…read moreorders if you do business with these folks. This is what happened: 1. I had an original contract. 2. The first contract had to be dropped due to items outside of Cal-Solar's control. (Fair enough). 3. Cal-Solar provided an update battery contract to an installation (solar installation) they sourced, they designed, they permitted, they installed, and they completed. 4. Cal-Solar wanted a change order on a system that had no changes and yet Cal-Solar claims the installed system had unknown items. (Keep in mind they did all the work...ALL of it.) 5. Cal-Solar waited till the last moment to notify of the changes which pushed against a tax-credit deadline. (From my chair seemed to be the goal.) 6. Cal-Solar provide large price increases to perform the work or quit...from 3.5k (to lose half the battery charging ability) or charge another 9k to add another battery. (Tesla charge half for a second battery, btw.) I'm not saying this will happen to you. I'm just saying what happened to me. As to the contract you sign: From my chair the company uses it for your compliance not theirs. (If you want to force compliance, then what do you do: take time, sue them, force an organization to do electrical work on your home to hit a contract??) Go

On top of that, they're just good down-to-earth people. We hired them last spring to re-roof our home, replace some rotted eaves and fascia and replace our old solar system (it was inefficient and malfunctioned quite a bit). We are very happy with what we got for the price we paid, it was a good value. It looks so much better than it did before and is consistently producing more energy. I feel like they helped us make the right decisions through the whole process, especially for system size to be able to keep our NEM1 status. The new roof looks great and works really well. I waited almost a year to write this review to make sure there wasn't any water intrusion during the winter storms - not a drop anywhere. They were in the mid-high range in pricing on the bids we got, but I'm happy we spent a little more went with them. Can a roof be sexy? Ours sure is.
