They offer free tours, which involves watching a short clip about the history of Hammond and then watching the employees work through a looking glass. It was neat learning about this candy business; I've never heard about it. I love learning origin stories because it gives me an idea of the company's values. I think it's amazing that they HAND MAKE all their candies. They have cute paper hats that you can wear. In addition, there are some areas for good photo opportunities. After the tour, you are gifted with a candy cane! You are then led into their candy store. You obviously don't have to purchase anything, but to complete the experience, it doesn't hurt to walk away with some chocolate. (: I'm not from Colorado, so I'm not sure if the prices were cheaper or more expensive than the grocery store (I'm going to assume more expensive). Regardless, we did buy some things. I got a Hammond chocolate bar, some discounted chocolate from their clearance section, and their popular Mitchell Sweets. The Mitchell sweet is $2 for a small packet! My husband liked it, but I thought it was extremely sweet and I only took the tiniest bite. I feel like that little packet can go a long way because of the sweetness. They charge $0.10 for a bag. I didn't want to pay for a bag, so I just used my paper hat as a tray. lol Overall, I did enjoy the visit. I like that it was free and candy cane gift at the end was the sweet cherry on top of the tour.

What they work on varies throughout the year so it may not look the same if you come multiple times. The best part is getting a full-size piece of candy at the end - we got candy canes (maybe that's what it always is?). You end the your at the candy store which is nice but mostly overpriced. If you only want the candy you can go to a Lolli Pops store - they were acquired by Hammond's and now sell the same goodies at their stores. In short, kind of fun to do but wouldn't go out of my way to do this. Best if paired with something else nearby which is what we did, a playground not too far away (there isn't much very close to the factory).

Very organized and always great selection of produce…read more I like that I can look at the list online and just let them know if I want a small or large box. Sometimes I get extras, sometimes I do not. This lets me plan my meals based on what I'm getting that week. There is no subscription. It is cash only. This week was the week before Thanksgiving and the small box covered the majority of what I was planning to get at the grocery store anyway. Saved me a trip.

I have tried many produce services and 5280 comes out shining every single time. The sign up is a very simple Google Forms on their website. You can choose from a small box or large box. Each box comes with approximately 6 fruits and 6 vegetables, give or take. Occasionally there's a package of moldy strawberries or the lettuce wilts quickly but that far outweighs the value and variety for the price. Their service is incredibly friendly and accommodating. They have a seamless system down for COVID where you drive up, pay, and they put your produce directly into your car. Awesome! Note that they only accept cash right now. They also have random local goods for sale that you can add on to your usual box. Some examples are honey, green chilis, bbq sauce, bacon and granola. 5280 Produce is a team of rockstars. Give them a shot! Once you start using them you won't forget the incredible value and service.
