Which again is false he then proceeded to insult me when he realized what he was saying was false. My tank is only 8 gallons and I only needed 7. Simple math how is it I put 7.7 gallons in. Overcharged for almost a gallon of gas. If that happens all the time think of the money they are pocketing. This station charged me 2.89 extra imagine that with every car that goes in. Although there…read moreare plenty of gas pumps, getting in and out of this parking lot is kind of crazy, since it's at an oddly-angled intersection, and is sandwiched between two busy roads. Also, the parking lot has too many curb cuts, which makes it even more chaotic. They have a decent selection of snacks and drinks, and appeared to be adequately staffed, but the floor could have used a mopping. Checking out was a bit painful. I have a Speedy Rewards card, and the app on my phone. According to the phone app, I had a free coffee coming to me, but I wasn't sure how to redeem it from my phone, since I'm (gasp!) a smartphone newbie. The cashier who was waiting on me also had trouble figuring it out, and turned to her younger coworker for technical assistance, which he was able to provide, since his register had frozen up. The line backed up ... it was a very awkward checkout experience.

There are no markings for Cash vs. Ctedit pricing anywhere. However, once the pump is in the tank, you find out that because you are using a credit card, you are now paying 10 cents more per gallon. I stopped here Monday afternoon because my work truck was nearly out of diesel fuel, and this place is right off I-295. With its huge parking lot and impressive number of Gulf-branded gasoline pumps (I counted a whopping 16), this place would fit in well in Texas. They also have four diesel pumps, two of which are high-speed pumps for filling trucks more quickly. Inside, the store is equally large, with a Honey Dew Donuts occupying the left side of the store. In addition to a drive-up, the Honey Dew has an indoor counter, as well as some tables for those customers who want to stay-and-sip. There is plenty of room between aisles of merchandise, and the store appeared to be well-stocked with good variety of drinks, snacks and convenience foods. And, it does have a bathroom (which is a requirement to earn a 4-star rating from me), although it is located in the right-front counter of the store, which was a bit counter-intuitive. It's not as fancy as Seasons Corner Market convenience stores (the white floor tiles at Circle K were boring and showed dirt easily), but it covered all the bases. The cashier at Circle K was clean-shaven, polite, and soft-spoken - quite the opposite of the large, rather rowdy group of blue-collar guys seated around a long table at Honey Dew.

They also do automotive repairs (with a sign saying walk-in customers are welcome - that's kind of a rarity) and are a state inspection station. Mostly, though, I use them as a convenience store. I have to say, though, that this place is pretty weak as a convenience store. Selection is extremely limited, even taking into account its small size as an afterthought to the repair garage. And even still, there are big gaps in stock. If you are a chocolate lover like me, you will be lucky if they even have a Snickers bar and maybe one or two other choices ... yes, it's that limited. And, their parking lot is very awkward and small for the amount of activity. I only stop here, instead of other nearby convenience stores on the opposite side of Cranston Street, because it's in the same direction I'm usually heading, and it's easier to take a right turn out of here, than a left turn out of the other stores. Normally, I'd rate them only 2 stars, but I'm rating them 3 stars because their gas prices are very low.

I came in for an alignment. The guy was condescending the entire time. Apparently he can't drive…read morestick so he goes and gets another guy. This one stalls my car four times and burns my clutch. So now I'm telling them to stop and to get out of my car. They don't listen and continue to move my car lugging the engine and then revving it sky high. The first guy then tries to tell me noothing happened to the car and that stalling it that many times is normal. I've driven this exact car (it's my daily driver) onto a lift dozens of times and never stalled it or burnt the clutch. It's terrifying that a service station this incompetence is also a state inspection station.
