I truly had no idea it was even possible to approach birth like this. I ended up having to be induced early and Tiffany was a great support before she even arrived to the hospital, reassuring my partner and I and keeping us calm. As soon as she got there, I immediately felt more calm and ready to go through all the phases of labor. I ended up laboring unmedicated and I truly could NOT have done it without her support and guidance on how to breathe through different sensations. Her clarity in explaining the process was invaluable, putting me at ease during a time that can be quite overwhelming with picking a place for such a special experience She promptly came to the hospital to pick up the placenta, and despite a mishap with the hospitals handling of my placenta she skillfully created a salve, pills, and tincture that I am absolutely in love with. Even more touching was the fact that she sent me a picture of my placenta, and it's so special for us . there is a $115 fee for Brittany to come pick up the placenta from the hospital. While you have the option to avoid this fee by making the trip yourself by driving to Fullerton it's unrealistic to make a trip like that after giving birth , considering the challenges , I believe the fee is entirely worth it. I had the privilege of having Karissa document my entire journey into motherhood. Being a first…read moretime mom, it was very important for me that I got all the photos of all the things! Karissa did my maternity photos, birth photos, and fresh 48/ first family photos. Maternity Session - Our maternity session with Karissa was amazing. We chatted about what I was looking for in capturing my pregnancy. Karissa understood perfectly and picked an amazing location. My husband and I hadn't taken professional photos in almost 10 years so we felt a little awkward. Karissa helped us feel comfortable very quickly and we had a lot of fun creating shots that we wanted. In some of the photos I wanted to capture the raw beauty of my pregnancy while nude. Karissa was the best hype woman and made me feel like a Pregnant goddess. Knowing she is also a birth Doula added to my comfort of being nude in front of her and her camera. Throughout my pregnancy I had a strong yearning to be in the water all the time be it ocean, creek, pool, you name it. So I really wanted to get some photos in water and Karissa brought my vision to life! She straight up got in the water KNEE DEEP to capture these pictures y'all. Talk about dedication to her craft! After our shoot I was obviously already so anxious to see how the shots turned out. Karissa must have read my mind because the next day she sent me several sneak peeks. I loved that she did this because it made me even more excited to see the rest of the beautiful work she had done! Every time we did a photo session she's send those sneak peeks to me to just obsess over until she was finished editing the rest of them. Needless to say I was so happy with the way the pics came out! Birth Photography- With the birth photography, I knew these were going to be amazing knowing Karissa is also a birth Doula. Doulas are great at knowing how to be a fly on the wall if they needed to in a birth space so this was key and specifically why I chose Karissa as our photographer for this. Because I was having a homebirth it was important to me to document what a homebirth prenatal looked like, so Karissa photographed my 36 week in-home prenatal. For the birth, originally we planned out to get some shots of me laboring but my baby had other plans and decided he was going to come out a lot faster than expected. Nonetheless, Karissa coordinated communication with my birth team so I didn't have to worry about it at all. She arrived just in time while I was beginning to push my baby out and stayed about 5 hours afterwards capturing photos of immediate postpartum. Every little detail we talked about prenatally she still managed to get in, even with the way my birth turned out. You will see for yourself below just how amazing these pictures came out! Fresh 48/ Newborn family photos- Like in its name the fresh 48 photos are typically taken within the first 48 hrs the baby has been born. I underestimated how horrible I would feel after giving birth and I just didn't have the physical or mental stamina to be able to do that. Karissa was so understanding and offered to check in later in the week to see how I felt. We ended up having to wait a little longer for my body to recover and eventually got the photo session in at the end of the second week postpartum. Karissa was very flexible and scheduled us accordingly. As she did in our previous sessions, Karissa worked her magic yet again and managed to capture every little thing I wanted. These first family photos are so special to my husband and I since this is our first baby. She captured our family of 3 so beautifully. Overall Karissa is a very professional, flexible, dedicated, talented, sweet, caring, and just freakin amazing photographer. I look forward to booking more photo sessions with her in the future to continue documenting my family's story. Thank you so much Karissa!

At thirty-five weeks pregnant with my firstborn, I knew I wanted a med-free birth in a hospital but…read morewas worried that unnecessary interventions might take place, so we decided to hire a doula for additional labor/hospital birth support. I found Renea online & met with her a few days later in our home. I knew by the end of our meeting that she was who I wanted beside me as I labored and gave birth. On the day I went into labor we were in constant communication via text. Once active labor began she came over to my home (with all of her essential oils!) and worked through the contractions with me. She was a strong supporter for me during this intense time! She came with us to the hospital and was right by my side as I delivered my son. We hired her again for our second-born son's delivery and she was with me, again, during active labor and at the hospital. We also saw her for a postpartum visit after each delivery. It's been 2 years since we first hired her and we are still friends. I text her randomly with a question and she is quick to reply! I've said this before and i'll say it again--i wouldn't want to birth my babies without Renea by my side!

Danellia was our natural birth educator thru @LaFuente and I highly recommend her class. For those…read moreof you worried about cost, you get a lot of bang for your buck-- she really is providing you 3 services for the price of 1. Here's the breakdown: +Birth Educator She is super knowledgable and passionate. I watched a ton of videos and read a ton of articles, but she helped synthesize the info so it wasn't overwhelming. Her descriptions of the stages of birth gave me a clear roadmap of what to anticipate. She made abstract and complex concepts easy to understand. (Here's looking at you Effacement Balloon exercise) Compared to 3 free Kaiser classes, this HANDS DOWN was more valuable. Those classes were redundant, with little substantive info. One of her 10 min videos on lactation clearly presented info that took more than 2-hours in the Kaiser lactation course. (Read the KP workbook available online to get the essence of the info.) +Pre-game Doula She gave us an outline for a birth plan. She discussed possible interventions and methods to advocate for yourself. If you don't have a doula this is INCREDIBLY helpful. If you do, it is still valuable. I came into my doula sessions more informed, like I had a second opinion, and I could hone in on the areas of specific concern. Plus, I knew what to expect and ask of my doula Stevie Merino @solandrootsdoula (who I love and also recommend btw). So in essence, Danellia optimizes the value of your doula services. Her real world experience with local hospitals let us get into the nitty gritty and ask real specific questions. I used some of her pain management technique (with my doula and partner), an adaptation of her breathing technique, and her ice exercise in the labor room and for the surges (contractions) before hand. +Counselor She was the counselor that we didn't know we would need. I vacillated between being a ball of anxiety, rage, and ease and my partner was real worked up as well (more so during pregnancy, than postpartum). I'll attribute that to not knowing what to expect, internalized pressure, and hormones I figure. But for me Danellia greatest strength was in holding space where you could share your worries and ask ALL your questions and even frustrations. She held it compassionately, non-judgmentally, and normalized what was happening. And unlike another paid program we did, it was beyond mental/logical support, it was that AND she was a settled and calming energy. In summary, just do it. Sign up for her class. Check out @LaFuente. I hear it is available virtually too now. Birth and postpartum is challenging, especially these days. So get all the support you can get! Regardless, may you have a pregnancy and birth filled with ease.

I was so pleased to have received Danellia's placenta encapsulation service. Danellia is very kind,…read moreprofessional, and knowledgeable. You can hear the passion for her work in the way she speaks about it. She explained everything thoroughly to me as to what her encapsulation service entails and how pick up and drop off would work. When it came to being in labor I didn't have to worry about a thing. Danellia and my birth team were able to communicate with one another to make sure she knew I would be giving birth soon. The day after I gave birth Danellia was able to swiftly pick up my placenta and take it for processing. It was important to me to have a photo of this beautiful organ that my body grew to keep my baby alive all 9 months. Not only did Danellia take a photo, she made sure to make it extra special placing beautiful herbs next to the placenta for the photo. A couple days later my placenta was already encapsulated, made into a tincture, and ready for drop off. So we coordinated a smooth drop off where I received my entire placenta package which included placenta pills, placenta tincture, placenta print, and umbilical cord keepsake. But of course with how caring Danellia is she went a step further and brought along some soup for my husband and I and a traditional Mexican postpartum drink for me called atole. This meant so much to us as we were only 3 days postpartum and had 0 time or energy to cook meals for ourselves. My placenta print came out so beautiful! Im so excited to frame it and hang it in my son's room. The placenta pills have been super helpful in giving me energy, establishing my milk supply, and stabilizing my hormones which in turn stabilizes my mood. In fact my placenta pills gave me so much energy I could only take them earlier in the day. If I waited until the afternoon to take them I would be up late at night! Aside from that I loved the way the package was put together and presented. Danellia gifted me some herbs from her garden and had a card in the bag that explained how to take the placenta pills and tincture. I am 6 weeks postpartum now and can now start taking my tincture which I'm so happy to have! I chose to have a tincture made because it will last forever since it is an alcohol extract. Overall I was so happy I made the decision to have this sacred organ encapsulated by someone who has so much respect for it and for birthing people. The energy that went into my capsules was important which is why I specifically chose Danellia and her grounding, calming, loving energy. Thank you Danellia for supporting me during my postpartum journey.
