I have hired PJ's for 3 different jobs and they've always done an excellent job! I would never hesitate to call them again.

The job was to replace and repair where necessary, two flat roofs on a contemporary home. This will be the fourth time the roof was replaced since 1987 and we sought the best quality over the lowest price for a change. Overall, our PJ's experience was impressive. From the estimator, to the office staff, to the on-site crew: everyone was polite and professional. Quality Highlights We felt we received useful information, and never felt rushed to make a decision. The crew was remarkable. They communicated appropriately on project status and issues. Even our dogs appreciated their company. It was obvious this was a high-quality job. Many details were addressed that we'd not been informed of previously. For example, the previously installed skylights were not designed for a flat roof! We liked working with a company that appeared likely to still be in business ten years from now in case warranty work is needed. That is a good indicator, warranty work will not be needed IMO. Daily and final cleanup was perfect. Thanks! Value The price for this job, new underlayment, roof, two new skylights, and repair work totaled about $27,000. After witnessing the workmanship and materials, I feel it is worth it. Afterall, the job required a crew for about five days and the material was high quality. We have a 4 year old house and due to the builder have some leaks already. PJ's has come out and completed a repair the best they could and the leak stopped. Because of our location and wind driven rain additional leaking occurred but they came out repaired again covered by our initial cost. After a flaw in the construction was found by their roofer, they promptly reported the problem to us and PJ himself came out to assess and determine best course of action. He was honest and explained it would be a significant cost but also, he felt comfortable that it wasn't necessarily something we needed to do right now. You could tell he is someone that is very caring and honest, doing the right thing by customers. We contracted with P.J.'s to replace our roof and skylights and they exceeded our expectations in workmanship, cleanliness and quality. They were fair in pricing and never tried to upsell or take advantage, even when during mid-job we asked about additional work that might need to be done did we ever feel like they tried to convince us to increase the job. They showed up on time, checked in with us every day a week and then a few days out to confirm and showed up on time, and worked late. Even when the job took longer than expected they came over the weekend to finish up after cleaning up all the debris from the first day. When we had a question the owner called us back. We'd heard nightmares about roofers that left yards and bushes littered with nails. These guys even came back after the job was done to make sure everything was cleaned up right. They sent a nice package of information in the mail containing their insurance info/product information. A few days before our appointment, they emailed to confirm. This company takes pride in what they do. Second time I have used them. They replaced my roof a few months ago and just had them replace my soffit and gutters. Friendly courteous workers that know what they are doing. They did a great clean up after and even sent a follow up checker to make sure everything was good. They came, fixed everything, repaired additional problems they found and did a great job. Not only that, but Rod called me twice to make sure everything was OK, and my leak had been totally repaired. Daniel was courteous and on time. I had him come in to look at my metal roof in the historic district because I heard vibrating noises. He came and looked at the roof and explain to me how it was constructed and how high winds will cause it to vibrate. He did not try to sell me on work that didn't need to be done. We finally got to the point where we couldn't wait any longer to have work done on our roof, and having heard about PJS from 2 friends who had used them and seeing signs all over the Braddock /West Frederick area, gave them a call. They were incredibly friendly, responsive, timely and courteous both on the phone, and the folks that came to the house. This is despite the fact that they are very very busy since I see so many places they are working. Their price was reasonable in comparison with 2 others we checked, and our roof looks wonderful. When it came time to put a new roof on my home I searched all my friends for their opinions on contractors. I chose three that only got great reviews from my friends. All were locally run businesses. All came to the house and gave me estimates. PJ was the only one to get on the roof and look at it. PJ's bid was substantially less than the other two companies and used architectural shingles, where the other two were more expensive and had add-on charges for architectural shingles. PJ also showed an opportunity for an AARP savings that neither of the other two mentioned. PJ's crew was courteous and professional. PJ came out to the house the day after the roof was installed and walked it to make sure it was to his satisfaction and checked the yard to make sure it was cleaned of nails and litter. I would use PJ again and recommend them to my friends and family without hesitation. I felt good about the experience from the beginning to the end. read more

I have consulted with many people who have had their roof done who all agree it has never taken their company a MONTH to replace a roof. This company is extremely disrespectful, they show up at 8am and crank the Spanish music so loud my earplugs do no justice. Even if the music weren't playing, I would still be woken up by their indiscriminate yelling "WOO!" And "WOOF, WOOF!". How much more disrespectful can you be, all while knowing there are people living inside. To the owner: shame on you. You need to be way more conscious of who you hire because it is really rude in my opinion to not be able to communicate with your customers. Every time I try and consult one of your workers, they look at me as if I have three heads. Not to mention the mysterious empty alcohol bottles I keep finding in my back yard. I could really go on about this company but I think I've said enough. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. read more
