As a result, while spending the Christmas holidays with my daughter, I made sure we went to Aspendos and again on my third visit a few weeks ago. While I have fallen in love with their Penne alla Vodka, I have sampled other dishes and found them to be very good, as well (my daughter's go-to is their pesto pasta dish). This is a small operation, run by three members of the same family. If you have a large group you will need to wait awhile for your food, but it's worth the wait. We have some good Italian restaurants where I live in California, but I wish we had Aspendos here!

You know the difference with "pizza cheese" and Real Cheese, and it was delicious. I came as part of a Free "Mental Health Day" event (Thanks, Project Human Inc. Non-Profit) this awesome restaurant partnered with. I love companies that believe in community support and supporting a good cause! (Thank you, Aspendos!) We had several slices of pizza and sodas, plus a friend got red wine and was happy with it. Noticed another special on the wall, a smoked brisket sandwich. Can't remember the exact name, but that's what I went with. Instead of chips or their homemade tots, I grabbed the balsamic roasted brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Tables weren't the cleanest and were a little wobbly, but nothing deal-breaking... we made it work. Food came out pretty quick and looked solid. Flavor-wise... a little mixed. The brussel sprouts were very flaky and leafy, almost crumbled apart. You really had to work your fork to get a bite. I was picturing larger roasted halves. Sauce was fine, nothing bad, nothing special. I'd give those a 3 out of 5. The brisket sandwich was interesting. The meat was very fatty and kind of tough to chew through. Not sure if that's just the cut or the prep. I ate about three-quarters of it. It wasn't bad, just didn't hit the way I hoped. Probably still thinking about that muffaleta. Another 3 out of 5. I'd come back, no doubt... but next time I'm sticking with what they're known for. Those cheesesteaks always look great, and that's probably the move. This is one of those places that we love but haven't been to in far too long. We both tried things that were new to each of us tonight as well, which was cool. I ordered The Ole Smokie, with everything on it and choose cheddar cheese. My first thought when it was brought to the table was "oh, I'll probably have to go at this with a fork & knife" but I decided to give it a shot as intended. I'm glad I did because the bread held up surprisingly well! As far as ingredients go, the brisket was good and smokey. There was a good mix of everything else and more than enough cheddar. My wife ordered the Chicken Cheesesteak. She also had a choice of cheese and she picked whizz. The thing that separates this from what people might expect is that it's chunks of chicken, not shredded chicken. She said that's not a bad thing at all, just a change from what some might exoect. She thought it was a welcome change. She liked their cheese whizz a lot and liked the roll as always, so she was glad she tried it. It's worth noting that both sandwiches were big enough that we both took half of each home. I didn't get the name of the two people that were working there this evening, but I'd still like to give then a shout out. They were both incredibly patient with the customers ahead of us and they didn't make us feel rushed even though we were there fairly close to the time they close on Friday evenings. Another good visit to Clarke Bros. Here's hoping it doesn't take us so long to get back here again for the next visit!

They are conveniently located right across from the Epic movie theatre. There was ample parking and I found myself at a self-serve kiosk with a lobby filled with patrons. The building area is a little small but this seems to give the business a nice personality. I loved all of the decor and could easily see that the business appeals to everyone. The environment is very colorful and they even sell small trinkets. The kiosk is very detailed in the order specifications and allowed me to choose everything from light ice, amounts of sugar to my choice of milk. You can even pay $4 more and supersize which is a bit much for me but excellent for someone who just can't get enough. I ordered 2 Brown Sugar Milk Teas and it took them about 8 mins to make the drinks. I will be honest and say that they are in top ranking for flavor, service and presentation. I easily could've sat there and finished my drink. I am so happy they are only 12 mins from my house and encourage anyone who wants a good milk tea to try them out.

We waiting about 5 minutes and our orders were done. We took our food to go. The waffle didn't even make it the 10 minutes back to my sister's house. My son and I, both don't care for peach, but we all loved this waffle. The milk tea was tasty and the boba was cooked well and had a nice chew. That popcorn chicken was fantastic. The perfect amount of heat and I like that they ground the basil into the seasoning. I would love it if they added some whole fried basil as well, but it was tasty none the less and for the price I could not have been happier. I am so jealous this place is hear my sister and the closest location to me is 6 hours away :(

The first pitcher was dry before the waitress asked if we needed another. The person whose birthday we were celebrating ordered their meal first and got their food last (by quite a bit, half of the party was done eating already). And when they brought his food out, it was the wrong order. He went up to let us know it was wrong (because our waitress was missing) . He could see his order in the counter, but was told that order was a mistake and he received the right thing. We had two orders at the same table with one very small difference (an ingredient missing on one) and the two were blatantly different. Between slow service, wrong orders, and no accountability this place seriously disappointed tonight. It's a shame, in my opinion they were one of the best wing spots in the area, but they have obviously let their quality control drop.
