We asked a Home Depot employee if there was someone on his team that was an expert in wood and could give us advice. Unfortunately, that expert was not in at the time. A customer happen to be pushing a huge cart was walking by on his way to checkout and overheard us talking to the employee and said that he could help. We asked him if he knew anything about wood and he said he did. He proceeded to explain in great detail the differences in the wood we were considering and laid out the best options given our project. We joked that he knew so much about wood types, and we then found out he owned a deck and fence business. We were really impressed with Kevin. He showed that he was not only knowledgeable but simply a good person because he was generous enough to help us even though we weren't looking to install a deck or fence.
