And liked it a lot! The rating as always is based on taste of the food, but it is worth mentioning that the service was good as well. Since we only had pizzas - four different kinds - it's what I'll rate. Overall, a good pizza and a welcome addition to the neapolitan pizza restaurants in this town! The dough was nice and chewy and other ingredients tasted fresh. The best part is the price - 4 pizzas and drinks (including beer) were EUR 38! Now that is a deal that you won't get in any other pizza joint in this town.

This is a new addition to the Naples-style pizza family here in Vienna and it has succeeded in…read morebecoming one of the very best of the brood. I spoke with one of the owners (who also runs a cool outdoor furniture store next door) and he confirmed that every person involved with the place is from Naples. This showed in the care and quality of the pizza, but I wouldn't necessarily say that being from Naples had anything to do with the slightly confused service staff. To be fair, it was the first week they were open and the people involved barely spoke German or English -- which made me totally happy. The beverage assortment was adequate and reasonably priced. The pizzas were of that unique Naples quality with a fine, flavorful and chewy crust that had just enough crispness on the edges and spring in the bite. The tomatoes were definitely flavorful and perfectly proportioned. The toppings were all of high quality except for I have to demote slightly for the cow milk mozzarella they used on the basic pizzas. I know it can't always be the bangin' buffalo milk mozzarella, but this particular cheese they used had a distinctly flavorless character. I hope they'll change it. I would say that this place has slotted into #2 for pizza in Vienna as of summer 2015. They are ahead by a margin of the "Mari/Volante" empire, and slightly behind Riva. Definitely worth a visit, although you should probably book because the restaurant is small and, I hope, will be extremely popular.

I ordered a salad and pizza Margherita made the authentic Neapolitan style. It can as expected; crusty on the outside and moist in the interior. The only thing I would have them do is to ask for extra basil. My husband had the veal with lemon wine sauce, which he really enjoyed. The one thing about the salad is that they just bring you balsamic vinegar and olive oil to use as your dressing. I didn't ask them if they had any other type of salad dressing. My husband really enjoyed his espresso. It was a really nice meal and a great place to eat if you are staying near the Schönbrunn Palace.

Yeah, that was the day my friend and I had in Vienna a couple weeks ago. As we made our way back to the hotel, we tried and failed repeatedly to find open eateries still serving food. We would've settled for gas station grub, but that didn't even seem to be an option! Eventually, as we reached the same block as our hotel, we noticed someone working in Pizzeria Riva Italia, so we walked in to inquire as to if they were still open or not. They weren't. They had closed an hour prior. But the SUPER nice guy working asked us what we wanted and said he'd whip up a pizza of our choice. We quickly decided on the four cheese and he got right to making it...with a smile! What!! Aside: I love Vienna. I think the city is just incredible and I've never met such a friendly local population. So anyway, as my friend and I waited, we decided to pool for a big tip. This guy deserved it! So that's what we did a moment later when our hot, delectable pizza was ready to go. Except he wasn't having it. He ordered us to take canned sodas to go too!! We brought our food back to the hotel and basically inhaled it. Every bite was totally delicious...and the experience was made even better by the selfless, friendly guy working that night. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
