My family here mentioned a very good Italian pizzeria whose name they couldn't recall, but I knew the location and thus, came here.
The restaurant was bustling, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. I asked to sit at the bar to eat as it was pretty packed and she said yes.
I order a glass of Primitivo, which was excellent and although the lasagne special sounded delicious, I ordered their el Capo pizza, which was topped with tomato sauce, Parmesan, prosciutto and arugula, plus a ball of fresh burrata cheese. I may have missed naming two ingredients, but this was hands down spectacular. It was so large that I took half back to my apartment.
The ambience I can imagine can be cozy; it was fairly loud when I was there as people were having a great time and the restaurant itself is quite charming and rustic. It was pouring rain outside, so it was packed inside, but service was stellar regardless.
They had pannacotta and affogato for dessert offerings. I was too full for the former and wouldn't be able to sleep with the latter, so I politely declined.
They're very quick to clean and prepare tables for the next seating.
I may come here one more time before I leave in a week. It was that good. read more
