This restaurant was recommended by our Airbnb host as a Calabrian family owned business that locals, Italian tourists, and international visitors alike all love. I got the Calabrian bouillabase and my partner got the seafood tagliatelle, and both were amazing! The bouillabase was just the right amount of spicy with the Calabrian chiles, and it had huge pieces of 2 types of fish, giant prawns, oysters, clams, and shrimp. My partner liked the salmon and prawns in his pasta. Service was excellent, and the owners spoke German, Italian, English (and probably more languages given the region's proximity to multiple countries). We didn't have a dinner reservation so were seated outside on the charming patio (2 sections, one with heaters close to the restaurant, and the other further away with blankets). read more

Delicious Italian food in a cozy setting with warm, friendly and attentive service. We split a ruca salad and my college aged son had beef saltimbocca with fresh pasta; I had the pizza with ruca, Parma ham and Parmesan. Crust was not heavy and wood fired. Delicious. Very disappointing! Not tasty and expensive (6,5€ a bottle of water filled with tap water!!!). We ordered a lasagna and a canneloni, it was super salty and the tomato sauce was very sour. This place was OUTSTANDING!!! Seriously excellent Italian food in the middle of historic Fussen. We are very happy we stopped here! We opened with a prosciutto pizza as an appetizer. It was cooked to perfection with great flavor. We tried the salmon pasta dish, the seafood pasta dish, the olive oil/garlic pasta dish and the pest pasta dish. Each one was excellent! I don't give many 5 star reviews but we loved this place. From the decor to the staff it really is a special spot. We ate a lot too! We had the lasgana, pizza and caprese to start with. The diavola pizza was really good, the crust light and crispy and the toppings really tasty. We could have had another one of these. The lasagna was very good too, not the best I've ever had but certainly a very good example, especially because they use bechamel sauce which for me makes a lasagna. Next course we had some specials, tuna, I had the bransino and one boulabase. My bransino was spectacular. Cooked to perfection, so tasty. Simply prepared and done really well. I could eat that all the time. The tuna was also well liked, and the boulabase was liked too. Only compliant was they though the boulabase was a little too salty. Next was dessert, I had the panna cotta and we also had the tiramisu and the chocolate soufflé or molten cake. My panna cotta was pretty good and had lots of fresh strawberries on it. The chocolate cake was out of this world. Soft and delicious, surrounded but a warm custard like sauce which I usually don't like, but I did in this case ! My friends argued about whether the tiramisu was better than the simple Italian we had just gone to in Munich the night before, but I think they decided this one was the best so far. Add to the nice food, the great service and fast service and you have a winner! So I would for sure try this place, I know I will go back to it whenever I am nearby. read more

Best meal in Füssen! I know it's not schnitzel or sausages, but they make divine Italian food, and I needed a break from everything on my plate being brown! The pizza is divine. Get the Parma- delicious prosciutto, arugula and parmesan. My husband had the Diablo and loved the spicy ness. The crust is molto bene!! Lastly, my parents had the truffle pasta. I've been to this restaurant many times. It's a hidden gem in town that the tourists do not always find. However, it is always shoulder-to-shoulder full and for a good reason: the food is excellent. I have never had a disappointing meal there. The standouts for me are the homemade pasta dishes. I cannot recall the name now (and there's no menu on their website) but the pasta I had last night was filled with ricotta and truffle and it was the best dish I've had anywhere in a long time. Just to be clear, they are known for seafood but they have a varied menu. It's always crowded so it can be a little claustrophobic in the winter when there's no outdoor seating. A reservation is almost always necessary when it's cold outside. The service is friendly and accommodating. You will not be disappointed. read more

My mother and I visited Il Pescatore on our recent Germany trip. After days of eating German food, this Italian place was a breath of fresh air! I lived in Italy for 4 years when I was younger so I can attest that this place is the real deal. The food is excellent, fresh and authentic. I ordered the pizza, which was one of the best pizzas I've had outside of Italy. My mother ordered the ameritriciana pasta which was cooked properly but didn't have the traditional pancetta, it had thin slices of speck instead and should have been spicier. It was still very good nonetheless. The outdoor seating area is lovely and with extremely comfortable chairs, both in the back and in the front. We had wonderful service and the price was very reasonable for what you get. This was certainly an unexpected highlight on our Germany tour and I would recommend it to anyone in the area. read more

Amazing dinner! The pizza is very good, the sea bass special was delicious, and the house made pasta with truffle cream sauce was to die for. Best meal in Germany we've had so far! Originally was lost and stumbled upon this quant Italian restaurant and instantly fell in love. I've returned 3 times now. This is probably the BEST hidden gem in Füssen. My fiancé and I have traveled from the US and back just to enjoy the food and atmosphere at this restaurant. When you are here your feel like family and that's just the start. The dishes are extremely well-prepared, grab a glass of wine and wash down one of their their creamy homemade pastas. Everything they make is authentic and with care.
