Super pizza place with a lot of other great stuff on the menu…read more I looked with envy at the other tables who were enjoying spectacular plates of spaghetti with mussels. * * * That said, my pizza was a grand slam home run. Many of their pizzas are quite elaborate With all sorts of exotic ingredients. I went super simple. Gorgonzola. Mozzarella. That's it. Just enough Mozzarella to cut the Gorgonzola and make for a good melt. * * * If you have never had a gorgonzola pizza, you have never lived. Just sayin'. * * * P.S. My lovely wife got a Norwegian salmon pizza. The Norwegian salmon was stacked up high on her pizza As if she was in the World Series of Poker and she was a big winner. I have never seen so much salmon on one plate. After our meal, I made a discreet phone call to the Norwegian embassy in Rome asking them if they still had any salmon left. The woman at the embassy assured me the Norwegian salmon supply was fine. That surprises me given all the salmon that was on my wife's pizza.

However, they had apparently started having dining "outside" which consisted of a few tables-for-two on the sidewalk. My brilliant wife came of with the idea of asking if we could just take two of those tables next to each other so she dined with one daughter and I the other. We probably looked a little funny as we got up to share plates between the table but hey, we were seated in 5 minutes. Car traffic wasn't too bad so that wasn't a distraction though it was amusing seeing delivery bikes coming and going sometimes even returning constantly to the restaurant. Clearly a very popular place. I have to hand it to our waiter, he did a fantastic job serving not just the outside but his inside assignments as well. Guy got his steps in for sure and yet he smiled and was kind through the evening. Not a sign of stress at all. Love that. Food-YUMMY! Since we were on separate tables I didn't my normal "Wait let me take a picture first!" moments lol. We got the Fried Mix to start off with which. I personally ordered a pasta carbonara and the daughter I was sitting with got a margherita pizza. My wife ordered the chicken which was thinly cut breaded chicken slices. I ordered a red (Montepulciano d'Abruzzo) to go along with my meal. Don't have all the foodie pictures because of our split tables but trust me it was all fantastic.

Yes, food was good but there are so many places in Rome where I would have rather be as they offer incredible versions of the same food. It is quick, it is convenient, and it is well made Italian food. but nothing to rave about and will probably not plan to go back the next time I visit the city.

The food was the perfect amount for me since I usually have an issue finishing food (larger portions). The food was DELICIOUS, probably some of the best pasta I've had in Rome so far. The tiramisu was also delicious, but I didn't take a photo of it. I would highly recommend coming here.

But when we did stand at the entrance we were ignored by three other staff members even though we patiently stood their waiting and we're quite obviously waiting to be attended to. When we approached to ask for a table for six. The owner in a t-shirt snapped "NO!" while raising her crossed arms in the air as if we were asking her for the 20th time. Same woman whom sneered at us on our arrival and had the audacity to say WE were inappropriately dressed. By far our rudest experience in Roma in the last three days. Atrocious!
Server Pepe. He hates Americans!…read more While the food was good across the board, the service was an abomination. I made reservations for my family of 5: boys 17,15,13 on a slow Tuesday for their sidewalk seating "Al fresco". Upon arrival I was told that we are not eligible for outdoor seating due to children in the party - they were all dressed with collared shirts etc, and are very experienced with formal dining (which this was not). Long story short, other children from other family were seated outdoors; Pepe lied and said that the outdoor seating was fully reserved - ultimately 10 large tables went unused outside. The hostess & Pepe made my family very uncomfortable to be there and then failed to bring ordered items, never checked in with us, refilled waters etc. The service was the very worst that we have experienced in years. This is my first ever yelp review and I spent the 45 mins effort on vacation to get it published. My advice is to avoid this restaurant at all costs, especially if you are American. I suspect disrespect for the American Tourist was the true culprit at this neighborhood restaurant. If you read through these reviews, this disrespect for foreigners is a common theme. Such a bummer that anti-foreigner is a thing. Btw, the temperature inside was 15 degrees higher inside our empty dining room, thus my outrage.

Realize…read morethis is a local restaurant with no atmosphere - it's more like a local cafeteria - everything is ala carte - but the food is phenomenal, literally (the fish the first night melted in your mouth and the chicken two nights later was incredibly tender). Pizza the second night was delicious. They have tables to sit at - which we did - but every other customer we saw was a local stopping in to pick up dinner to take home (what does that tell you?) The banter between the staff and the locals, and one night the owners three year old son running around, was free dinner entertainment. One night the bill (for two) was 14 €, the other night it was 20 €, but realize that's part of the experience. Whoever is serving you shakes his head a little, does some imaginary math his head while he mumbles, and tosses you a number. Try the stuffed tomato on top of potatoes ! And go with the flow. Inexpensive food, great experience !! Buon appetito !

The pizza was your typical Roman style, thin and crispy without being overly charred. It was large enough that we were able to split this as well and with the bread they served with the salad we had a decent size meal. Prices were reaonable at under 30 Euro for this and two large bottled beers. Service was attentive. They do speak English as well.
