I checked Yelp and chose three well reviewed companies to contact about an interior painting job. Of the three, one failed to return a phone call, one said they were busy for the next six weeks, but would get me a quote (and then failed to follow through). Pizzazz came by and gave us a quote for the work, which we thought was fair, and said they could do the job in a day. The job included skim coating one wall of our family room to even out the surface where shelving had been, other minor wall repairs, and painting the entire room, including trim and ceilings, as well as the ceilings in the hallways, living room and dining room. It would have easily taken me a month to do the job that they did in one day, and my work wouldn't have been nearly as good as theirs. They did need to come back for a couple of small touch ups, and that was done to my satisfaction. To be clear - the touch ups were because of the way the house was finished back in the 50's and not because they made a mistake. (for some unknown reason, back in the day they wallpapered the CEILINGS and then painted over it, so the moisture from paint can cause the wallpaper to pull away from the ceiling, causing bubbling). I have used Bill and Pizzazz Painting for exterior trim of our home and several interior rooms with wallpaper removal, trim work, and painting. One room we had done was an extremely difficult wallpaper removal. Bill and his crew were punctual, reliable, extremely affable, and competent. They did an AMAZING job in my daughter's room. The walls were very damaged after wallpaper removal (2 layers!), and there's no way you could tell now after painting that they looked so bad. Pizzazz did a great job without having to replace the drywall. I am very impressed with their work. They are reasonably priced and competitive. When I moved into my home in Medford six years ago they were very accommodating, and arrived within a very quick turnaround time.
