The inside is very small with a few tiny tables so it's mostly a to-go type of place. They have daily specials and the one we got was a large 3 topping pizza and cinnamon bread for $12. The pizza is made thin crust style and is soft and sort of floppy instead of crunchy which we really liked. The pizza tasted great and wasn't short on the toppings. In fact, I'm so glad this place actually knows what "extra cheese" means! The sauce had a nice amount of sweetness and they put just the right amount. The cinnamon bread was also really good and even though I would have liked a little more cinnamon, the bread was soft and kind of moist. We have had the opportunity to have some really great pizza across the country including real Chicago deep dish at Giordano's. Even so, we've always been partial to Domino's since they recently changed their recipe but I can say we enjoyed Jo-Jo's just as much. The menu also has a good variety including subs and salad. On Monday and Wednesday they have a deal for 1/2 off pizza for carry out which I'm sure we'll take advantage of. We are so happy to have good pizza so close to our house now!

We used to go to ZaZa's at least weekly when we lived in Toledo. We recently moved back and were…read moredisappointed in the appearance, worn booths, carpeting, etc., and although one of the pizzas was fine the other was extremely oily. We had to ask for plates (paper). We had to ask for utensils (plastic), and although there was an issue with one of the pizzas, no one came by during dinner to inquire how things were. Upon leaving I asked for a refund on the oily, uneaten pizza and I was told that although no one waited on us, it was my responsibility to bring it back to the ordering counter. He refused a refund. I felt bad, we used to really enjoy Za Za's, but we will not be returning. Maybe if the two people who were working on the 14th would pay attention to the customers instead of talking non-stop to each other, maybe all the customers, including us, would have been satisfied.

The people working here are truly kind and that makes a huge difference. The young man behind d the counter was courteous, kind and helpful. He offered to carry the pizzas to my car for me and although that was not necessary; it was a nice gesture. He did hold the door open for me and thank me for coming. The pizza was your average take out. I asked for light sauce which they did accommodate. It's nice to have a request honored. Toppings were adequate. The dill pickle pizza with ham was delicious cold the next day. The pepperoni, sausage and mushroom pizza was best hot out of the oven but reheated nicely in a pan on the stove. We love cold leftover pizza but this one was better reheated.

So I agree with Summer D. Dough & Co is definitely worth a…read moretry. Went there with the wife and one kid...we all agreed the pizza rated about 8 out of 10. We got the Toledo Gold and the Margherita pizza. I really did like the crust. It was very light and airy...also fluffy and crispy at the same time. (Apparently it doesn't warm up well the next day...you might chip a tooth). We also all agreed the pies needed more sauce. The flavors, in general, were great, and, both pies were a little greasy. This fact never bothers me, though. I will say that the pies are small (12 inches). And, they are reasonably expensive. Size wise, I could probably wolf down two, two and a half of these guys and still feel ok about myself! The service was fine (accurate, fast, friendly) and the atmosphere was nice (exposed brick, cool curved sub-ceiling). Although the hostess and the waitress were quick, the kitchen seemed a little slow. So yeah, we all liked it and will be back. Next time, instead of the PLOs (pizza like objects) that we got this time, I'm gonna order something more traditional...pepperoni...with red sauce. ONLY THEN will I know, if Dough and Co, is good to go! 4 stars with the potential for 5.

Went there Saturday with family and friends. What a great night!…read more Two of us had the lasagna and it was incredible. This isn't the usual lasagna. It's similar to what you know, but different! I bet it had 10 layers. The sauce was definitely made in-house. Not too sweet, not too bitter/sour. The one thing that's different with Calvino's is I couldn't detect or find any ricotta cheese, and I didn't miss it. It was a very generous portion, and it was perfectly cooked. No dry pasta or burned edges. I opted to add some Italian sausage which was the perfect addition. The other person who ordered this added sausage and ground beef and said that his was perfect. Either way, you can't go wrong! Another person at our table ordered the butternut squash ravioli. She was kind enough to let me try a piece and it was absolutely amazing! She ordered it with the olive oil and garlic sauce, which was the perfect pairing. This was as good or better than the butternut squash ravioli at Martini's in Columbus. The pasta had great texture (definitely fresh pasta) and the filling wasn't gluey in any way (this filling can have a tendency for textural issues). I'm definitely ordering it on my next visit! Someone ordered the chicken and pesto sandwich and raved about it. The last person at the table ordered the linguine with olive oil, garlic and mushrooms and again, it was perfection. All entrees were served with bread (ahhhh, those great little nuggets of fresh baked bread, drizzled in butter and sprinkled with cheese...) and a really nice, fresh salad. I would bet that the dressings are all homemade too! From past experience I can attest to the stromboli being outstanding (get the Godfather!)! The pizzas going by the table looked pretty amazing too, but I've not had their pizza. Appearances can be deceiving, but from the looks of the pies and quantity of people ordering them, they have to be pretty great too. Calvino's does not have a full bar, but they do have an extensive wine selection and some nice beers to choose from. If everyone at the table is ordering wine, go for the bottle as it will save you money. They have some really nice, inexpensive wines that pair very well with pasta - you won't break the bank on wine (but you could...)! All in all, it was a great night! The bill for the two of us came to $55.00 (that's including the tip)! The service was great, the food was outstanding - the best Italian meal I've had in Toledo, hands down.
