It was after 1 pm and there were only 2 slices of cheese pizza in the case. The person at the counter said there were more pizzas in the oven and they would be up soon. It was worth the wait. The pepperoni pizza was hot and delicious even after traveling the 25 min. home. I told me wife about the deal and the experience..both being positive. Then, on two separate occasions, we went out of our way, while traveling, only to be disappointed because the deal is from 11 to 3:00. Today's experience...we arrived at 1:50 pm. We were excited because we were finally going to get the $5 deal. We went in the door and there was 1 slice of cheese pizza. I asked if more pizza was coming out. The gal behind the counter said no because it was a slow day and the pizza would go to waste. ( The lunch special was supposed to be valid for another 70 min. Any other restaurant will try to accomodate their patrons for lunch special up to and including 2:59.) There's counter person was not concerned about disappointing customers or even trying to show some empathy. We asked about ordering a pizza..."for here or to go"...."here"..."you have to order that in dining room". We discussed it while sitting and both felt that the person at the front counter need some customer relation training. Another person was working the dining area. She was very friendly. We placed our order for a 14" Classic Combo. It was ready in a reasonable amount of time. Our opinion, as we discussed it at length, is Rosati's has the best thin crust of all the pizza places we've eaten. Their sauce is a little tomato forward. They seem to care about the amount of toppings on the pizza. We did feel that the pie was light on the sausage. There was an ample amount of the other toppings including pepperoni. We noted the pepperoni tasted closer to bacon than the classic savory pepperoni flavor. And there was plenty of melty stringing cheese!!. I am really getting discouraged at the amount of money restaurants are charging for soft drinks. A 20oz soft drink costs the restaurant 5 to 15 cents for syrup and CO² and they charge the customer $3.75 to, in Rosati's cases $4.00. Ambiance...it's large and uses cold materials. Looks like a semi sports bar. Prices...on the higher end for pizza Wait staff...hit or miss... one good-one not so much. Food quality...(pizza) very good Lunch special...if you can get it, it's a great deal. The all important!! The left-over pizza is very good, cold straight from the refrigerator

We realized most pizza places were either closed on Mondays or were not open till dinner. The manager said she would put that In and return to see if we wanted anything else. She was very nice and she took the rest of her order which was two House salads and the Rosatis bread bites. me and my girlfriend decided to play games that were sitting behind us while we waited for our salads. shortly after our salads have come, but our pizza never did. A different waitress had asked us if we were wanting anything else and we were puzzled at her question and advised her that we were waiting on a pizza when she told us that no pizza order was ever put in. Come to find out. The manager has left on an emergency and totally forgot about putting the pizza order in. The waitress wound up calling the manager on the phone and she wanted to speak with my girlfriend directly and admitted to totally forgetting about putting the order. after the phone call, The waitress asked us if we still wanted to put in for the pizza and we asked how long it would take. They advised us about 20 to 30 minutes..I then advised them that I didn't think it was fair to pay full price as we have been waiting now for 45 minutes and they failed to put our order in. She stated that she would take 5% off. needless to say, we were extremely disappointed in the service and it just didn't seem like anybody cared whether we left or not. we tried to contact corporate and left our information and we've also called the restaurant and left our information to see if anybody would call us back, so far nothing. we have had a lot of mishaps going to restaurants, we understand these kind of things happen, but it does seem to happen to us more often. like I stated it just seems like customer service has gone right out the window anymore and people just don't care.

Since he has a big appetite we ordered larger and so much pizza for left overs. The pizza re-heats perfectly on top of the stove or toaster oven, haven't tried the air fryer. Its' also really good cold. The mushroom are so meaty and hearty, the bacon is perfectly crisp, you don't even have to ask, the black olives and pepperoni are perfectly balanced and the cheese is ooey, gooey under all those toppings. I love the non-conventional shape, I guess oblong in a small and rectangle in a large, sliced in squares. Pizzeria Da Gloria is ABSOLUTELY the best pizza I've had in STL. We came for lunch and sat inside - it's a quaint little spot but there is a beautiful patio. We got a margherita pizza and a spring onion pesto pizza. The crust on this pizza was perfect - not soggy and had a great chew. That Spring Onion Pizza was so good so definitely try that before the season ends. For our sides, we got the mortadella skewers which was covered in a tangy, sweet sauce. I dipped a few of my slices in that sauce and it was great. We also got the caesar salad which was tossed really well and every bite was coated in dressing. We ended our meal with their basque cheesecake which I think may have been regular cheesecake? I was expecting the caramelized crust and a softer bite BUT it doesn't matter. That was such a yummy cheesecake and that apple cider caramel was a great touch. I love this place! Great food, great service, and love the intimate feel inside.

We managed to snag a couple seats at the bar and were given water and menus rather quickly. My boyfriend got the Mango Mezcal and I got the Spring Sangria. The mango mezcal had a nice balance of tequila and other sweet flavors while having the tajin rim for additional spice. The sangria was unlike one I've had before as it had coconut rum and other flavors. It was different but in a good way. Unsure of how much longer we'd be waiting, we got an order of Fughuese. I'm sure I butchered the spelling but it's their bread and olive service. The bread was piping hot and the olive oil was fresh and pure. Of course, once we started eating our table was ready /9 we quickly settled and left. It was nice to finally come here even if we only got drinks. I've heard riveting reviews about this place so we def want to come back and try the pizza!

Other tables received normal service while we were completely ignored. We eventually asked the sweet employee at the pickup window for water and napkins, and she was the only person who helped us the entire time.
