They were crunchy, well topped and cooked perfectly for us. Having spent the month of March in the south of Italy this year we've eaten a fair amount of pizza, this experience took us right back. It wasn't long that we were the only ones in the place and the owner came by the check on us while he mopped the floors. I used to go here a few times per week but now I only go once in a blue moon. When the new owner/manager took over, he jacked up the prices and cut back the store hours. With the exception of a few really awesome staff members, the service became much less friendly as well. Lately, the quality of their pizza has taken a nosedive. I used to alway be blown away by the amount of cheese on their pizza but now they are so stingy with it that there are bald spots on the pizza. They used to be very generous with their toppings but now they are very sparse. For example, they used to put big chunks of feta on their pizza. Now, even if I pay for extra I really have to go out of my way to find any traces of it. Don't get me wrong, their pizza is still good but it is nowhere near the gourmet pizza it used to be. When I go to pick my pizza up, I pay with cash and the staff are often forced to make change with their tip jar because the owner/manager doesn't provide them with a proper float. I just tell them not to worry about it or just put the change back into the tip jar. I expect my tips to go to the hardworking staff! I find it appalling that the tips I give them are being used to make change for customers instead! This has happened on multiple occasions.
