Went on a weekend for lunch. There were two other groups at noon. Staff greeting friendly and said it was open seating. We opted to sit in the bar area to catch the games on TV. Found out from staff that the menu was limited as they just opened a month or so prior. Nothing impressive to note. Pizza was alright, but VERY greasy. I was okay with taste of the crust, however it is worth sharing that thickness of crust was paper thin in the middle of the pie which made all toppings fall off. Salad bar was disappointed with food not giving "fresh" vibes. The salad was warm. Will I return? Perhaps if invited for a special occasion where I didn't select venue. Recommend? Not with its present offerings.

I really wanted to rate this restaurant 5 stars. I will give them a second try in the future. Here is what went wrong. 1. Service. We waiting at the hostess station for a long time. Several employees made eye contact with us. No one approached for 5 minutes minimum. No exaggeration. 5 minutes minimum. Finally, the lady said we could sit where we wanted. She said the back room was packed. Then she went back to work. We chose a table not far from the salad bar. We waited a long long time. No menus. No silverware on the table. Nothing. We sat. We were in great moods and yet we knew this place was grossly understaffed. More eye contact from the employees. No words. We watched a female employee arrive at 6:35 PM. We were there since 6:08 PM. At 6:45, a male employee approached us and asked if we had been waited on yet. We said no. He got us menus. Then the female employee that arrived at 6:35, came over and said she would be helping us. He said ok & left. We put in our orders. We got our sodas quickly. After a 5 minute wait, I stood up and asked a male employee if I could go directly to the salad bar. He said yes. I only saw the large bowls there. My spaghetti dinner came with a small salad for an upcharge. When I returned to the table, there wasn't any silverware still so I got up again and asked for some from another male employee. Our meals arrived 15 minutes from the time we ordered. Not too bad.. after so much waiting. 2. The food. I ordered spaghetti & meatballs. I ordered the salad bar. The salad bar was fresh and the selection was good. My only recommendation is to add different lettuces Their lettuce mix is iceberg, some romaine, & it was topped with raducchio. The spaghetti & meatballs were meh. The meatballs were kind of dry and the sauce was nothing to write home about. The noodles & sauce seemed like they came from the grocery store. I did like the garlic bread. Hubby ordered the Italian Sub. He said it didn't have enough meat & cheese. It was a skimpy sandwich He ordered the fries for an additional $2. The fries were fabulous! Yummy. 3. The menu. I am a teacher and I noticed 7 spelling errors. Fries not frys. Calzone. & a few others. I will happily fix those mistakes for your restaurant for free before you reprint your menus. We will come back for the pizza. Hopefully, the staffing will be proportionate to the large amount of customers. We wish you well, Pizza Station. We want you to thrive.

Wow wow wow! Santinos is back!! New name and owners but the pizza is the same recipe! I was so happy when the waitress said it tastes the same!! The sauce is just as I remembered. The crust is a little thinner than I remembered but so good! Is it greasy? Yes but it's pizza! The salad bar was so fresh and tasty! The only complaint I have would be they need to make their own dressings it tasted like it was the smart and final one but maybe I'm wrong!

Mozzarella Sticks were good and the pizza even better. The waitress kelly was doing a terrific job, and was very friendly and attentive. This was my first experience since it changed from Santinos. I enjoyed my experience and I'll definitely be back!

I got a chance to try their spaghetti with meatballs and meat sauce and I was quite pleased! It is comparable in quality as one of my favorites over in Santa Barbara (Giovanni's on upper State St) I also ordered a small Pepperoni Pizza. Good portion of cheese ... was a tad on the salty side. It appears they toss their own dough. I skipped their salad bar: Still no croutons. For a business that opened only recently, they still have some glitches to address, but seem to be doing their best. There was a large group over in the banquet room to service, so I get it. I saw more customers this time but is a good sign. I plan to return.

Most of the things we had were excellent. The only low point was the charcuterie board. The cheese and meat choices were good. The bread that was served with it was hard as a rock. In Ventura's industrial area, the Cave is a nice, cozy restaurant that is hidden in the Ventura Wine Company shop. We were greeted by live music which made a lively atmosphere. They have the self vending wine machine with a decent variety of wines for all. I'm going to be honest - I did question the pour size. We ended up buying a bottle of wine at dinner instead and I'm pretty sure that was the economical choice plus it gave me peace of mind. I will say - the plating of the food is strange. Giant plates for small portions never really sits well with me. The kitchen's "thinly sliced" waygu steak was also off putting visually. The Jumbo Scallops w/Leek & Truffle Risotto ($46) is a must order. Scallops perfectly pan seared and that risotto I would eat by itself. The Lemon Chardonnay sauce was incredible. The Slow Braised Beef Short Ribs ($39) was okay. The meat fell apart as it should. The red wine sauce was okay but lacked depth. The creamy mashed potatoes were very good and seasoned perfectly. Wasn't mad that I tried it but would not order again. Wagyu Top Sirloin 12 oz. ($48) was very good despite the poor slicing. The creamy mushroom sauce was perfect to add some flavor but not overpower the protein. The Pepperoni Pizza ($18) was decent for my son. My daughter planned to order the Seafood Pasta until she saw all of her favorite things combined: Mac and cheese, bacon and pizza - the Mac and Cheese Pizza ($21) was honestly top notch. It wasn't overly heavy, the depth of flavor was great and it's extremely tasty. The spicy aioli was top notch. Overall, a good experience at the Cave. I recommend giving it a try.

Two sisters (Elissa & Holly) married two brothers (Matt & Mike) and started this weekend project which has turned into quite a fun weekend escape. Elissa and her father, Walt, are usually manning the tasting room and are the most gracious hosts. It's a quaint, boutique winery and tasting room, which recently joined forces with the folks from Trois le Fou Winery. They each have their own tasting rooms, but they're joined and share a large production/barrel room area, which is also available for private events in addition to scheduled events and live music/comedy. They don't offer food, but you are welcome to bring in your own snacks/charcuterie. Parking is plentiful, as the business park is mostly closed on the weekends. WINES: Their wines change regularly, as they purchase their fruit from Paso Robles, Lodi, and San Antonio Valley, among other places. I think that their Sauvignon Blanc is a standard and we really enjoy it, but they also do a nice Sangiovese, Zinfandel, Malbec, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Their "Speakeasy Wine Club" offers three levels of membership: "Blind Grape (6/yr)", "Bootlegger (12/yr)", and "Last Call (18/yr)", depending on the number of bottles you want per shipment/pick-up. Bottles currently run in the $38 - $50 range (before club member discounts). We love visiting the Lester Cellars family and highly recommend you stop in and check out their latest vintages. The service and wine are wonderful, and I'm betting you'll enjoy yourself as much as we do.

On a Thursday night it was pretty dead but we didn't mind, WE ARE the party! The restaurant/ bar is surprisingly spacious which wasn't outright apparent from the outside. Once you walk in there is a nice long bar on the right hand side. A couple of booths and plenty of tables. It was actually a lovely evening (plus our group gets loud & rowdy) so we decided to sit outside on the high top patio table. It was perfect as it could fit the seven of us no problem. Initially i worried how service would be as we were alone on the patio but immediately my concerns went away as we had a fabulous bartender named Jordan helping us out. Despite making the drinks inside and engaging with customers at the bar, he was very attentive to our outside patio group. The drinks were brought out at an impressive pace and we felt valued as customers. Jordan gave great suggestions for shooters for us to try and also was overly accommodating, by allowing us to all pay separate/individual checks per our request. I grow to appreciate that more nowadays because some businesses do give patrons a hard time about splitting tabs. I was grateful despite being a big group he was willing to accommodate us. We only came for drinks, so I can't speak for the food but this spot is a solid bar. They have some interesting cocktails and I liked that they had a couple of shooter/shot options. Good selection of beer and even some wines. I really enjoyed both my Mexican candy shot and the purple heater shot that Jordan recommended for me and a friend. Drinks were cold and they kept flowing. Easy to give this spot 5 stars as the service was good, atmosphere was welcoming, and reasonable prices for being on Main Street. I'd definitely come back and would be happy to try some appetizers next time to see how the food is. My only baby upgrade is that the patio cushions on the chairs need a good wash or to be replaced. Otherwise everything else was clean from the tables, to the bar area, to the restrooms etc. The patio just needs a tiny bit of TLC which a couple of us noted. We had a great experience here though and I'm glad we stumbled upon this spot.
