I call to ask what time they close, they say 9pm. I get there at 8:05 and they tell me the buffet closes at 8. All full, all like it was just serviced and that is all it took to lose a new customer in a time that new customers are awfully hard to find. Oh well, I had a Whopper, the best one ever. This place seriously needs a remodel job! It's like going to a "cattle call" when you go in there! Now I must say the chicken is delicious and we go there just for that part of the meal. The salad bar area needs to be monitored more and freshened up more often. A little unappetizing to get your salad with drips and spills all over. The pizza is okay too.... Nothing to write home about though. The rest of the food on the buffet needs to be monitored more closely also and kept freshened up. I.E. stir the food around a bit and keep spills wiped up!! You do a lot of good deeds for the community with various fund raisers. Now do us another favor by keeping the place a little cleaner! read more

Went here for lunch during the week and had a very positive experience. Service was great, buffet bar was stocked well, and the food on it was good and hot. They had all the dessert options fully stocked too. Would go back as compared to other Pizza Ranch's that I've been to, this one seems to be the best in the immediate area. read more

Really enjoyed this Pizza Ranch. The selection is quite a bit smaller than other Pizza Ranch restaurants, but they still have all the good stuff. The staff was really nice when we were there, and the price for the buffet was really affordable. read more

I really enjoyed their Stampede pizza. All the toppings were fresh and the traditional crust was nice and crisp. They also had a very good Gluten Free crust which my wife ordered. Lastly, the service was good. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I will definitely stop here again next time I'm in Waverly, IA. read more

There pizza is marginal at best. I have ordered three (trying to give them the benefit of a doubt) and every time the dough is raw or at least uncooked in the middle and there's so much grease it's impossible to hold a piece of pizza with one hand there's no crisp to the crust was so ever. Maybe it is just this location here in Charles City, I'll try and Pizza ranch pizza someplace else and see if that makes a difference, i'll update my review at that time but, as bad as their pizzas are it won't be anytime soon. read more

Great place to get a salad bar lunch for under $4. They have new lunch specials with limited amounts of pizza, chicken and sides you can get for $6. Looking forward to trying them. Pizza is decent, fried chicken is really great. Much better than I expected. If you haven't been, give it a try. read more

Love the chicken and mashed potatoes. Everything else is just okay. Honestly I won't even eat the pizza. Cramped seating and lines. You just feel sort of greasy after eating here. The staff is always nice though. read more

I was very disappointed tonight. No chicken in the warm. I one piece I got was awful. It tasted like someone had dumped a salt shaker on it. My husbands piece wasn't done. Also no variety of pizza. We love going her as it usually is good. Not sure what happened. It did get busy after we were ready to leave but not very many there when we were eating.
