Typically I have 5 star experiences when coming to this Pizza Ranch. Upon entering, I order a thin crust pizza with white sauce and my favorite toppings. The last visit was noticeably different in wait time for the pizza and the quality of the fried chicken. My pizza took quite a while to receive, and there were slices taken out of it prior to arriving at my table! I expect that the Pizza that I order will come to ME first, as it always has been in the past. Why on earth would a hostess offer someone else's customized pizza to another customer who was NOT sitting at the table with my order number clearly labeled?! To be honest I was planning on asking for the whole pie when it arrived but couldn't. Secondly, this may be a one-off situation but the chicken is usually juicy but was pretty dry on my last visit as well. On probably one of their busiest Mornings, (Veterans Day with a free meal offered to veterans). The food was hot, well stocked, and my favorite chicken was great as always. The staff did an excellent job keeping tables cleared and the place looked great as always. Of note, since I was alone, I had the opportunity to watch the young lady that had checked me in. Every customer was greeted with the biggest smile, and the veterans were all thanked with sincerity for their service. She epitomized what any established would want from a customer service rep. Pizza Ranch is a favourite of my household and of course, that includes the location in Waite Park. Of particular interest here on the buffet are chicken fries, which can't be found at every location. This Pizza Ranch location really is one of the better ones. I've eaten at several, but here's why I like this one. The food typically is fresh. The fried chicken is crisp and flavorful. The pizza on the buffet is hot and fresh and not soggy as if it's been sitting there for more than 10 minutes. The ice cream is especially smooth and creamy. The salad is great. The potato wedges are crispy. The dessert pizza is sweet and salty and delicious. Like all Pizza Ranches, when you order, you can tell them what pizza you like and have it your way. Then they'll give you a little number you hang at your table. As you're eating, a server will stop by with your pizza and ask how many pieces you'd like. You can order anything - a thin crust, traditional, or deep dish with as many toppings as you like. I've always found the place clean. They're good about bringing out the vacuum cleaner even when the place is busy, just to make sure it stays clean. I agree with others that the prices have gotten out of hand. $12 for the buffet is pretty steep, especially when you consider coming as a family of 7. read more

I went here for dinner the other day and it was the first time in a long time. The last time I went to Pizza Ranch was several years ago, and not much has changed. The pizza recipe is still the same, and they still offer an all day buffet. It's a little pricey at over $11.00 per person, but they do let you request certain kinds of pizza if you have your own favorites. They specialize in pizza (hence their name of course) but offer other popular comfort foods as well. We went to dinner around 5:30 and there were a lot of people there. I could tell right away that this is a hotspot for families to bring their little ones. Kids love pizza and hey, what better place to bring them than a place that offers a variety of pizza. The buffet is self-serve and the price includes the drinks as well. I ended up eating a total of three plates, and was extra full by the time I was done. My first plate was full of pizza, my second plate was primarily fried chicken and mashed potatoes, and my third plate was their famous dessert pizza and ice cream on the side. Needless to say, I went home with an enormous food baby. The pizza toppings all tasted wonderful. I liked their Canadian bacon and steak. I did not however, like their crust. They need to step up their game if they want their pizza to stand out. It tasted like any other takeout pizza place's crust. The fried chicken was hot and crispy...but on the salty side to me. I liked their mashed potatoes-nice and creamy, but their gravy could use a little work as well. Their chicken fingers are great for kids, and I found myself eating several of them. They also offered potato wedges and a salad bar as well. As for the dessert pizza...it tasted better than ever. I should just come there to solely eat their dessert pizza. It's so good! I went here a few months ago with my dad, and it was the first time going to a Pizza Ranch. I'm a huge pizza fan, so my hopes weren't too high knowing that this is a pizza buffet place. But I was very impressed! They have all different types of pizza to choose from: thin crust, deep dish, vegetarian, bbq chicken., meat lovers. It's also very reasonably priced. Sound the dinner bell because the feed troughs are open at the ranch. Maybe it's evolution but I seem to be missing the genes that cause most Minnesotans to flock to any restaurant with a buffet and disregard all quality standards in place of sheer quanitity. The food here is edible but not enjoyable. Everything about the pizza is low grade, the fried chicken was dry, the salad options were boring, and the cheese bread was soggy with grease.Don't get me wrong I have nothing wrong with the buffet concept or serving myself but the food here just isn't worth saddling up for. Never the less I will probably be back because they support local non-profit organizations by hosting sponsor nights where a portion of the profits go to organizations and youth sports teams. You make the decision for how much food you'll ingest. Also, if you go in the afternoon, it's cheaper! If you like a certain type of pizza, you can ask for it. AND THEY'LL MAKE IT! For no extra charge, and then BRING IT TO YOUR TABLE and let you have first pick of the pie, so no buffet hogs will eat it all before you get your hands on it. They have a salad bar, pizza buffet, a selection of chicken, vegetable, and potatoes as well as a dessert table COMPLETE WITH some of the most surprisingly delicious soft serve I have ever had. It goes great with the cactus bread. Seating is rarely a problem, though this place is popular. There are even private rooms if you have to make a reservation for a big group or a special event. They are not open on Sundays, on account of the higher-ups being the religious type that honors the Sabbath. (Or at least, that's what I heard.) read more

I love all the choices of pizza at Pizza Ranch. I love the fact that my husband and I can both get our favorite pizzas and we don't have to compromise on toppings. When we order a pizza we have to have a half and half pizza. The chicken Alfredo is the best pizza. I always request it so I can be brought to my table. I love that you are able to request pizzas to be brought out. Some other Pizza Ranch locations I've been to do not do that. Pizza ranch is an all you can eat buffet with fries chicken and pizza. The pizza is tasty and you can request one of their specialty flavors if you want (I always ask for their buffalo chicken one). If you eat here regularly, you can save money with their free pizza club card. If you don't like pizza, their chicken is decent (not great). The sides (mashed potatoes, carrots, potato wedges) aren't bad, but I wouldn't come here if i didn't eat pizza. The service is always friendly and professional. They do a good job keeping it clean even with all the small kids who come here with their families. The dessert pizza is a favorite. I like the peach and cactus bread. Sometimes they run out of decaf coffee. They have a tea machine with green and black. No alcohol. This place is run by Christians, and I'm not sure how much of their profits get turned over to their political agendas. It's not obvious, but you'll pick up on it. Heading up to the cabin and was hankering for some great tasting pizza. Outside was clean, very inviting, but we walked inside there was a very long line to get in with only one poor girl working the register. After she got some help, the line moved very swiftly, and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant was very clean and there were a lot of open tables. The pizza bar was stocked to the gills with delicious pizza, a nice salad bar, some chicken fries and a couple wonderful desserts. The big kicker was that they had Golden Peak sweet tea which is my favorite! Also, I highly recommend the dessert pizza topped with soft serve ice cream. Well, for starters, we were greeting by a girl that obviously did not want to be there. They told us our total of 23 dollars and we thought that was kinda high for a pizza buffet. We went to get our food, I started with chicken, mashed potatoes, biscuits and gravy and potato wedges. Mashed potatoes are instant, and the chicken was just ok. The potato wedges and biscuits were good. Then we got the pizza, it was all just kind of bland, the flavor wasn't there and the pizza was a little hard around the edges. I don't think I would recommend this place to anyone just on price alone. The food wasn't bad, but there are far better places to eat here for pizza. This evening I took my daughter to this Pizza Ranch. It was hot, stuffy and filthy, food all over the floor. A supervisor was way to busy chatting it up, one poor girl was cleaning tables, one girl at the register and phone. It took 2 attempts to get a requested pizza to our table. Plates sat for 15 minutes at least on our table. I have been to many other Pizza Ranch's, this one by far is the worst one I have ever been to. The Little Falls location is by far much better. The reason we ate there was, because my husband saw a photo with John Wayne on it, and he is a big fan of him. So, it must be good! The other reason was, that we were hungry! The place was crowded as expected around that time. After we got our cups for drinks, we squeezed ourself around the table. The cashier was nice and engaging. Helping me out as we haven't been to a pizza ranch in a few years. I was impressed with all of the staff asking to take our plates and even taking our leftover cake plates. We brought in a bunch of girls and a DQ cake. They were friendly and courteous. I don't live far from St. Cloud and every once in a while I come here to eat. The pizza is AMAZING, it's real cheesey, the crust is tender like a steak. They have the best chicken I've ever had. They also have a soup and salad bar, dessert pizzas and ice cream. It is so good, you'd want to eat all the pizza. Outstanding place, outstanding service, and outstanding food. read more
