So you thought that buffets were dead after Covid? I am happy to report that their death is greatly exaggerated and Pizza Ranch is alive and well. Dinner here tonight - $2 off for seniors (score!) Is this gourmet pizza? No. Is is pretty good? The toppings are great. I'm not real enamored with the thin crust, but the thick crust is good. Despite the name over the door, it's probably the pizza that's the weak link here. The salad bar is pretty decent, they keep things freshened up, no brown lettuce when I was there. The chicken appears to be broasted? I dunno, it tastes pretty good and the skin is nice and crispy. The ice cream they have for desert exceeded my expectations - I'd say comparable to DQ soft serve. Service consists of young kids bussing dirty dishes - they did well. I walked away absolutely stuffed, and my wallet wasn't much thinner either. I wouldn't make a regular habit of going here, but if you are staying at a nearby hotel like I was, it makes for an easy affordable dinner with a little something for everyone. read more

Rant. I'm not one to usually complain publicly. But we went to Pizza Ranch for lunch today around 1 it's currently 3:12. Ordered a custom pizza due to my allergies. Waited almost 1.5-2 hours, couldn't find an employee. Once one did come out I asked about my order and was told they'd check and never came back out. Tables were filthy and piled with plates from lunch customers the entire time we were there. read more

We were in town for the day and there weren't many options open close by on a Sunday. They had a buffet, but we chose to get a medium pan pizza and were glad we did! It was delicious. It reminded me of a pizza hut pan pizza. read more

We love the Pizza Ranch. Whenever we are in town we meet relatives here for a meal. The buffet is good as it includes Pizza as you would expect BUT ....it also has awesome deep fried chicken, mashed potatoes and corn. Open seating areas with convenient table arrangements. My attempt to save the world from bad pizza one review at a time is failing terribly in Jamestown, ND. These poor people have dominos as their best option. I am so sorry to write that but it's true. This is a horrible rip off of an already horrible alternative (pizza $lut). What can u do when u just don't have options. How this place has any decent reviews is beyond belief, we were totally disappointed This is the smallest buffet we have ever been to, by far. The pizza is on a par with pizza at a gas station, the salad bar was very small and had shredded lettuce. Fried chicken, mashed potatoes and corn were ok but chicken sticks were dry, potato wedge, stuffing and mac&cheese were blah and dry as well. There is no real butter only a fake butter spread. Forget dessert, three different flavors on doughy pizzas. Soft serve ice cream was ok. Décor was dark and no atmosphere at all, not even background music. read more

Ok I ate here today for the first time. The pizza was pretty good. I'm from Louisiana but I was told to try this place out. It exceeded my expectations The one thing that really stood out was the service in particular the staff that you never really consider. The was an employee named Taylor who was bringing out pizza and bussing the tables. She was the definition of a hard worker!!!! It is nice to see a restaurant where the employees are striving to do there best and it really does make the experience more pleasant. After guest got up from there tables it didn't take them long to buss the table. Overall it was a great experience. I will definitely be back!!! read more

To be honest, I go here for their chicken. I'm not a huge pizza eater. My girlfriend loves their pizza. I love the chicken, mashed potatoes, and corn. Also, they have some awesome garlic cheese bread. Check it out if you're in town. There aren't a lot of good places to eat in Jamestown but this is one of them. read more

Brought a out of town football team in for dinner. Was very prompt on serving the whole team. Never waiting on pizza. Very clean.

This place was rockin' busy tonight! Delivery wasn't available due to being short staffed, so we went in. Buffett night... not sure if it is everynight, but they were slammed. The girl at the front was very friendly and apologetic for how crazy everything was. I did not do the buffet as I am allergic to dairy, but ordered my own pizza. My pizza was not made correctly, but they refunded my money and made the pizza correct. I did enjoy the salad bar, though very messy due to being so busy. All employees were helpful and working like crazy. Happy with the fix of the mess up. Will return when there isn't a buffet going on as buffet eaters are quite impatient and messy. Keep up the good work! Hopefully staffing works out better next time. read more

Exactly what you'd expect from a mid-sized town Pizza Ranch. Great location, just off the interstate, and sandwiched between two hotels. They do not take AMEX, so I skip it more often than not while traveling for work. Their buffet is smaller than in Fargo, but it's still respectable. Restaurant is adequately staffed, so wait times are short and service is good. read more

We were turned away from the restaurant, along with several other couples, because they had a bus coming with 45 ppl and had "no room" to seat us. No offer to have us wait for a table or booth outside of the banquet room, very rude in their communication with us. They just repeatedly insisted they had no room for us. Evidently they wanted no more paying customers that evening other than this bus. VERY disappointed in this experience...will strongly recommend to others not to visit this pizza ranch! read more

So the chicken which is probably precooked isn't too bad, but as I watched the "cook" pour the new burnt corn on top of old burnt corn I was aghast , I asked him if they had any corn that wasn't burnt his reply with a smirk was " no its all oven roasted. Really oven roasted corn? ok. It made me question the rotation of all the product especially the salad bar which was a disaster. What's really frustrating is the sense that none of the workers really give a crap. Which is by the way the overall work ethic of N.Dakota workers. We are from CA where work is scarce and you value your job. That obviously isn't the case here where there are not enough workers. We won't come back to Pizza Ranch. read more
