a piece of bread on a plate

Love this place! the food is amazing and always prepared with love. The service I received from the crew is amazing and always very timely plus one of the workers, Masyn made sure everything was how i wanted it when i arrived. I will also say the atmosphere is very nostalgic and has an ambiance that reminds me of pizza Fridays from when i was a kid!

Don't know yet it has been going on an hour and still no food. Do not stop here unless you want to become a resident of Comanche Texas

Very slow, placed an order over an hour ago and have called 3 times. Tried to cancel the order and said it was its way. Which was a lie.

Passing through Comanche on a Sunday evening. Choices are limited, but no fear Pizza Pro is open. Tasty, well made pizza. Glad we stopped.

I felt like we intruded on these ladies lunches! I'm looking all over for a menu and finally ask the girl behind the counter and she pulls a menu out. I'm was so confused as to why they don't just keep them out. The next thing that got me is that there weren't prices on the menu. We ordered 2 pulled pork and 1 chicken salad and it was about $38. The girl behind the counter was very sweet and accommodating, especially for my picky kids. My kids love pulled pork and they said this was okay but they preferred grandpa's. It did look a little dry but my husband said it was okay. My chicken salad sandwich was dry as well. The potato salad was really good though!!! They both could have used a little more seasoning. Thankfully there was salt on the table. Now for the star of the show... the pickles!!! I'm the only real pickle eater and I thought they were really good... enough so that I bought a big container. It was a little odd because the pickles on my plate were different textures. My husband actually noted the same thing. We went back and got a Dr Pepper cake. It was moist and had an interesting flavor. I don't think I would have guessed DP if I hadn't known it before.

I got my order to go, and they were pretty quick getting my New Yorker out to me. The bathroom was clean, and the restaurant was quite big. Everyone seemed nice inside as well. It's really just your typical McAlister's. This isn't the fault of this location, but holy smokes those prices are outrageous. RIYL: The chain of McAlister's. They make soups and stuff

The dill pickle lemonade was surprisingly good! But... The reason we stopped coming was the shockingly minimal amount of meat on the sandwiches, and the high prices for meat that can't even cover the bread. It hasn't changed, I can't believe they are still in business, this is the same reason we stopped going to (the now closed) Schlotsky's). The amount of ham on those sandwiches seem to be ok, but... I order a 1/2 and 1/2 with a garlic steak and a "bbq" honey pork. The tiny slivers of meat that were there were not appealing at all, they were both the same odd color of grey, and again, couldn't even cover the bread. The flavor (like the meat) was almost non existent. I couldn't even tell which was which... I literally used about six napkins throughout the course of 2 sandwich halves?? What was leaking out? It wasn't water? As I longingly gazed out the window at Chick Fil A I lamented the loss of $35 for sandwiches and drinks for 2 people. So long McAllisters, you blew it for good this time.

Our server came over right away, took our sink order, & suggested the daily special. They were almost out so she said she'd put us down for that, if we ordered right away. We ordered onion rings to start. Very crispy & tasty! Ranch dressing was really good! I had the special. It was yummy, but the mashed potatoes came out cold. I sent them back & they were piping hot. The fried okra was well-browned & had a good taste. My hubby had hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, & a roll. Everything tasted really good to him. There were a lot more people seeking nourishment than would have been on a typical Saturday. So when I say the service was a little slow, I have to add the caveat that I don't think City Center was ready for the invasion. Center City is in an ancient and historic building. The seating is bare bones. They have something going for them. The other go-to American breakfast restaurant closed its doors. The food was what I expected. It was tasty without imagination. Sometimes that is exactly what a traveler is looking for. The bill? It was reasonable. It was the exact amount that the meal was worth. I have to be honest; I can't shout the excellence of this cafe. I can say you get what you pay for. If I were traveling to or through Comance, I wouldn't hesitate to grab breakfast there. I can't speak to the dinner menu. I'm sure it would be more of the same.
