Absolutely the worst pizza i have ever had. The pizza at the buffet tasted stale and was barely warm. Mac and cheese tasted like it was out of a can, disgusting. I'm giving it a one star because I can't give it zero. Floors were dirty, tables stained, all around gross. You're better off ordering from dominos, papa johns or Pizza Hut. They even had a wad of filthy paper towels holding up our side of the table so it wouldn't wobble. Disgusting and unsanitary to say the least. We ordered a fresh pie (a supreme) thinking it would be better. It wasn't. I do not recommend this place. read more

After driving and setting up camp, we ventured into Cherokee for dinner. Having no data or signal in the mountains, I couldn't read reviews in advance. We landed on Pizza Inn. I've been to one before and it was decent. This one I don't desire to go back to. No one greeted us or told us how it works. There was a buffet, but some in our group were wondering about a menu. The dining area by the buffet was super crowded and it was very hot. We proceeded to the back room where it was cooked. All of the tables were dirty besides ones where the chairs were already flipped on the tops. So we took those down and seated ourselves and finally a staff member saw us and said that was okay. We then headed to the buffet. The salad bar was disgusting. The lettuce was iceburg and it was basically sitting in a tray of water. It was soggy. I didn't even attempt to drain it and eat it. Instead I got some carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes and put some salad dressing on that. Soups and pasta looked like they had been sitting for a while. The soup had that been sitting a while film on top and the Mac and cheese looked dried out. The only thing decent was the pizza. There were some interesting flavors and a crisp crust. I wish they labeled what they were. I thought I was getting a supreme piece and it was more like a cheeseburger. Didn't like that one. Mustard and pickles do not belong on pizza. However, there was a taco pizza I enjoyed and the cheese bread was good if you were able to grab a piece. And the cookie pizza was also tasty. But service, dining experience and overall condition of the buffet was not great. Maybe they were struggling with the holiday. Don't know, but if we come back to Cherokee, there's other places we'll check out. read more

Average pizza buffet place BETTER than Cici's Pizza in any sense! Service was great and attentive. I liked there veggie pizza. Crust was crunchy and pizza with mix of veggies including onion gave it a nice taste. Salad had pickled okra that I liked much. They accommodated to give us pasta without sauce that way our kids eat. Honestly, we entered thinking it's a pizza speciality place but anyway tried it out! Dessert pizza both apple pie think slice type and cinnamon sugar tasted good. Excellent service! All of the staff is extremely kind and very attentive. Pizza is average but much better than buffet places like cici's pizza. The crust is actually really good especially for the price. I asked for extra marinara to dip it in. Salad bar was fresh and the other pastas and soups were decent as well Great spot for families, less than $10 per person for lunch read more

We stop here on the regular on our way to Maggie Valley with the scout troop. Buffets are easy with a large group of teenaged boys and it's a bit of nostalgia for me as my dad managed a Pizza Inn for several years when I was a kid. The price is reasonable for the offerings they have and the staff has always been great to us. read more

I have been to other Pizza Inns before and they were decent. So we were looking for something we could take back to the hotel and figured this would do. BIG mistake. Once I took the first bite I knew this was not going to end well. But out of sheer stubborness I finished one slice of pizza. I should have just gone hungry instead because what followed was not pretty. I got sick... Mad sick. And it wasn't just me because my friend did too and she didn't even finish an entire slice. It was greasy and the ingredients tasted like they had expired. Now I know why there were no other customers in the restaurant. The shift manager was too worried about her cell phone to check the buffet quality. The server was absolutely miserable and had no desire to work. Not even giving us a choice said, there it is, I will bring your drinks. Can you actually order a pizza here, who knows, it was not offered. She brought the drinks and that was the last time we saw her. When I paid the shift manager at the register she did ask if everything was good. I said no, the absolute poorest service and food quality I have seen in awhile. The pizza was cold and just plain nasty. Her response. It is slow and it has been out awhile. So she charged me and said the casino has taken all the business. Whatever, you have no pride in what you do. Close the restaurant and start over. The absolutely worst Pizza Inn I have ever walked in. Almost the worst restaurant I've ever walked in. In the middle of this busy tourist area this is place is a shambles. It was filthy. Food on the floor. Around the buffet there was almost as much food on the floor as on the buffet. At one point I saw four employees standing around talking drinking sodas. At least one of them could have picked up a broom or dish towel and wiped a table or swept up around the buffet if no where else!! Food was room temp. Pizza would completely run out before any new pizza brought out. The salad bar was sparse but what was there was at least fresh. Bathroom was as disgusting as the rest. Thankfully I had tissues in my purse because there were no paper towels or toilet paper. In general it didn't look like the place had been scrubbed since the 90's. First the place was FILTHY floors had food all over them, an inch of dust on the pictures hanging above the tables, bowls at the salad bar had what looked like ranch dressing all over the bottom of them, these were supposed to be clean bowls! Where are all of the bad review coming from? This place is so good! Every 5 minutes, they kept coming out with fresh, new, hot pizza! I couldn't even try all of it! The buffet was fine with fresh hot pizza coming out on a regular basis, and plenty of variety to choose from. Sauce was in evidence and tasted fine, if the cheese is fake then so is Domino's, and Pappa John's, and Pizza Hut's. Nothing made me sick, and nothing made my girl friend who was with me sick either. It was better then Cici's about the same as Stevie B's and not quite as good as Pizza Hut. I was visiting from South Carolina. The young lady that waited on me was nice. But everything went left from there. A worker which I found out later was a manager. He was straighting two garage cans and took his hand and put something on top in it. Without washing his hand he attempted to fix my wings. After asking his to wash his hands he became arugumentive. Very unbecoming as a management staff, unsanitary and disrespectful. Do not worry about me going there again. I asked for my money back and he was still exchanging words with me . I visited the pizza inn at lunch time on 12/27/14. It was not the best buffet experience I have ever had to say the least.When we sat down there were about twenty people sitting at tables and nobody in line at the buffet. We quickly realized why. There was no food on the buffet. As soon as food would come out everyone would rush to the buffet and the one pizza they had just brought out would be gone.the food was below average and to top it all off when I went to use the restroom the men's restroom was disgusting. Trash needed changing and the floor had some sort of liquid all over it. I would not recommend this place at all. read more

If I could post a negative star I would. My family came to eat here after a long day at Santa Land. I went to the rest room to wash my hands and my 2 grandchildren ages 11 and 6 went to the buffet and put 2 very small pieces of cheese pizza on their plate and when I went to the table I realized this. I asked the manager if I could just purchase a small cheese pizza because I felt $5.99 for 2 pieces of cheese pizza was more than I was willing to pay for a young child's meal. She told me she would charge me for an individual pizza for them and I agreed. My sister that was with me as well had 6 small children with her. One that is 3 years old that would only eat 1 piece. The manager said she would have to pay for an individual pizza for her 1 slice of cheese pizza. The pizza that was taken from the buffet was very hard and cold so I replaced it with a fresh slice of pizza and the manager told me I could not exchange the slices any more. I told her to bring out fresh pizza then. One of the children that was eating the buffet said there was standing water in the salad and the ranch dressing tasted funny. I spoke to the server and she said they were short staffed and they didn't have time to put out fresh things in the buffet. I then said that I truly felt that the amount I was paying that we should at least have fresh items on the buffet. While we were finishing our meal the oldest child over heard one of the 2 employees that was working at the time say I can't believe they ordered a personal pizza and wouldn't let them eat off the buffet. That was rude and uncalled for. The reason we didn't let them eat off the buffet is explained above. I will never eat at this location again and I truly understand why this city is a town that is about dead. They have very poor customer service and the quality of food is terrible. To make things worse they decided to add a 18% tip to our bill , which I refused to pay and got threatened with police. Just ate at the pizza Inn in Cherokee North Carolina worst experience I've had in a very long time. Water down lettuce served to my children. Ranch that have been set out for quite some time. When told to the server that the lettuce was in water she said I'm sorry we're shorthanded tonight we weren't expecting a crowd. If you are bring children with you or have children with you or are expecting children to eat with you this is not the restaurant for you. They do not break down the prices is 7 dollars for children regardless how much they eat or their age. Very under staffed. Took about 10 minutes to get our drinks and a menu. Took over 25 minutes before we decided to get up and leave, but then realized they had filled the buffet so we decided to stay and had to find the waiter ourselves to tell him that's what we planned on doing. The table next to us had almost 50 USED plates and drink cups. The waiters just stacked them on that one table instead of cleaning them up.
